  • Is RGBRast included with .NET 3.5 SP1?

    I need to use the RGBRast software renderer for a DirectX application I'm developing. Currently I'm just including the DLL with my install. I have read a few places that it is also included with .NET 3.5 SP1. Is this true? If so, where is the DLL located?   • Alternative C++ Compilers?

    I want to start learning C++, so I downloaded Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express, and the entire application freezes and crashes every time I try to compile (debug and release build) something (I have tried running it in Admin Mode). Is there a good alternative compiler that I could still use VS 2010 as the IDE?

  • Finding web source of Drag&Drop with Qt

    I'm trying to implement a simple notebook in Qt. Microsoft OneNote allows text or an image from a website to be inserted by Drag&Drop with an attached link to the source that looks like this for the stackoverflow logo on the 'ask' page: Inserted from <http://stackoverflow.com/questions/ask. With the QT dropsite example, I examined all the information thats transported by the QMimeData object, but didn't find something really helpful. Do you know a way to do this in pure Qt or at least with not so much platform-dependant code?

  • ASP.NET UpdatePanel Time Out

    I'm making a request from an UpdatePanel that takes more then 90 seconds. I'm getting this timeout error. "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerTimeoutException: The server request timed out." Does anyone know if there is a way to increase the amount of time before the the call times out?

  • Any way to make DataContractJsonSerializer serialize Dictionaries properly?

    The DataContractJsonSerializer is not able to serialize Dictionaries properly. Whereas JavaScriptSerializer serializes Dictionaries as {"abc":"xyz","def":42} for example, the DataContractJsonSerializer gives [{"Key":"abc","Value":"xyz"},{"Key":"def","Value":42}] instead. This is really problematic and I want to know how can I serialize Dictionary objects correctly in my WCF service.     When I try to create an object of Graphics, why doesn't the following work? System.Drawing.Graphics graphicsObj = new System.Drawing.Graphics(); (I am aware that I could create a private System.Windows.Forms.Panel Obj; and then do CreateGraphics() if I wanted it to work) I tried to find a custom constructor for Graphics, but I couldn't find one. Where did Microsoft define it, or how did it block it?

    Hi recently I finished my WM6 Pro.6.1 application and happily learned that to put it into marketplace, it has to pass some tests. -Application Verifier -Microsoft Hopper Test Tool for Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1, and 6.5 I use VS 2008 and windows mobile 6.1 and I couldnt run none of these tests, Hopeer tool has a FocusApp c++ application which I must build and run before testing, but its a VS 2005 project and I couldnt run it on VS 200..and without it I can't test anything. any ideas how can I build that for VS2008?

    Getting the following error when trying to open a word document with macros to fill in the form fields: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Security\AccessVBOM. The user opening the word document does not have admin rights and the AccessVBOM flag is either not available or set to zero. I can set the flag for the HKCU (Current user) programmaticallybut cannot change setting for inunder HKLM . Please advise how can we enable the trust for the VBA project programmatically. Thx Kumar

    I was wondering if there was a way to extract all the values of a column, and then save each value into separate text files (labeled ANYTHING, 1-100 works fine). I know how to do this through another language, but I'm using SQL Server 2008 with Microsoft SQL Server Manager and it would save me some time from figuring out how to do it through C#.

  • VS2008 intellisense performance issue with large number of partial static classes

    My question is a follow-up to the issue posted here regarding the Intellisense performance issue when building a large solution in VS2008 that has many partial static classes. Since Microsoft does not seem to be addressing the issue for VS2008, I would like to know if there are other ways around the problem? Waiting for VS2010 is not an option at this time. The proposed solution in the previous post is not practical as some of the partial classes may be regenerated and this would be a maintenance headache.

    Hello all , I am trying to create url routing like this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dd347546.aspx but I am having few questions , first why he is adding lines to the web.config , I tested it and it didnt appear that they're doing something as I commented them and nothing major appeared second I am having this line of code that is crashing var display = BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath(_virtualPath,typeof(Page)) as IProfileHandler; when casted as ihttphandler it's working , but when I am casting it to iprofilehandler(which is implemeting ihttphandler) it's giving null !
