  • How to encrypt data in php using Public/Private keys?

    - by Xeoncross
    I have a small string of some data (less than 1kb) that I would like to have user agents pass to other sites when they are sent from my site. In order for the other sites to verify that I was the one that created the string I though of two options. The server pings me back to confirm (like paypal, openid, etc..) I use public/private keys to prove I sent the message (like PGP, DKIM, etc..) I don't want to setup HMAC because that would mean I have to use custom keys for each site which would be a pain. Out of those two choices it seems that #2 would save on bandwidth which makes it seem like a better choice. So how can you setup public/private key cryptography using PHP and are there any downsides?

  • Using Jquery $getJSON How do I dynamically create data for the [data] parameter after Url param?

    - by Breadtruck
    I have no problems getting the Json to work and parse the json return. I was just wondering how I could build a dynamic "whatever data is" and stick it into [data] to pass my parameters from there and not manually append them to the url. From jquery website example: $.getJSON("test.js", { name: "John", time: "2pm" }, function(json){ alert("JSON Data: " + json.users[3].name); }); I thought I could build a string ( which doesn't make sense anyway ) and drop it inside the { }, but I obviously don't understand that part. name: isn't a string and you can't put a variable in that part, so how would I dynamically put items into whatever [data] is.

  • db2 sql pattern matching

    - by Jitesh
    I have a table in db2 which has the following fields int xyz; string myId; string myName; Example dataset xyz | myid | myname -------------------------------- 1 | ABC.123.456 | ABC 2 | PRQS.12.34 | PQRS 3 | ZZZ.3.2.2 | blah I want to extract the rows where myName matches the character upto "." in the myId field. So from the above 3 rows, I want the firs 2 rows since myName is present in myId before "." How can I do this in the query, can I do some kind of pattern matching inside the query?

  • Linq-to-Sql query advice please

    - by Mantorok
    Hi all Just wondering if this is a good approach, I need to search for items containing all of the specified keywords in a space-delimted string, is this the right approach this? var result = (from row in DataContext.PublishedEvents join link in DataContext.PublishedEvent_EventDateTimes on row.guid equals link.container join time in DataContext.EventDateTimes on link.item equals time.guid orderby row.EventName select new {row, time}); // Split the keyword(s) to limit results with all of those words in. foreach(var keyword in request.Title.Split(" ".ToCharArray(), StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries)) { var val = keyword; result = result.Where(row=>row.row.EventName.Contains(val)); } var end = result.Select(row=>new EventDetails { Title = row.row.EventName, Description = TrimDescription(row.row.Description), StartDate = row.time.StartDate, EndDate = row.time.EndDate, Url = string.Format(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["EventUrl"], row.row.guid) }); response.Total = end.Count(); response.Result = end.ToArray(); Is there a slick Linq-way of doing all of this in one query? Thanks

  • StructureMap - Injecting a dependency into a base class?

    - by David
    In my domain I have a handful of "processor" classes which hold the bulk of the business logic. Using StructureMap with default conventions, I inject repositories into those classes for their various IO (databases, file system, etc.). For example: public interface IHelloWorldProcessor { string HelloWorld(); } public class HelloWorldProcessor : IHelloWorldProcessor { private IDBRepository _dbRepository; public HelloWorldProcessor(IDBRepository dbRepository) { _dbRepository = dbrepository; } public string HelloWorld(){ return _dbRepository.GetHelloWorld(); } } Now, there are some repositories that I'd like to be available to all processors, so I made a base class like this: public class BaseProcessor { protected ICommonRepository _commonRepository; public BaseProcessor(ICommonRepository commonRepository) { _commonRepository = commonRepository; } } But when my other processors inherit from it, I get a compiler error on each one saying that there's no constructor for BaseProcessor which takes zero arguments. Is there a way to do what I'm trying to do here? That is, to have common dependencies injected into a base class that my other classes can use without having to write the injections into each one?

  • Entity Framework 4.1 (Code First) audit column

    - by Ken Pespisa
    I'm using Entity Framework 4.1 with a Code-First approach on an ASP.NET MVC site Say I have an entity named Profile that keeps track of a user's favorite book, and I want to track when the user updates their favorite book. UPDATED: Using the class below as an example, I want to set the FavoriteBookLastUpdated property to the current date whenever the value of the FavoriteBook property changes. public class Profile { public int Id { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } public string FavoriteBook { get; set; } public DateTime? FavoriteBookLastUpdated { get; set; } } Right now I just update that field, if appropriate, in the controller's Edit action before calling the DBContext's SaveChanges() method. Is there a way I can put that logic in my model somehow? I'd prefer not to use triggers on the database side.

  • question about asynchronous http

    - by rantravee
    Hi , I just want to check if I understood well the way asynchronous Http request work on Android. Suppose I make such a request and set a ResponseHandler<String> responseHandler to handle the response. By doing this is it possible to have the UI thread blocked waiting for the response ? The implication being that the code in the function: public String handleResponse(HttpResponse response) is also executed on the UI thread or is there silently spawned a thread that waits for the response and calls the handleResponse(HttpResponse response) function when the response arrives ?

  • Xalan redirect:write , use either of two element values to create name of new .xml file depending on

    - by Bilzac
    So I have the following code: <redirect:write select="concat('..\\folder\\,string(filename),'.xml')"> Where "filename" is a tag in the xml source. My problem occurs when filename is null or blank. And this is the case for several of the xml filename tags. So what I am trying to implement is a checking method. This is what I have done: <xsl-if test = "filename != ''"> <xsl:variable name = "tempName" select = "filename" /> </xsl-if> <xsl-if test ="filename = ''"> <xsl:variable name = "tempName" select = "filenameB"/> </xsl-if> <redirect:write select="concat('..\\folder\\,string($tempName),'.xml')"> I seem to be getting NPEs when I compile my Java code, saying the Variable not resolvable: tempName

  • Javascript instanceof & typeof in GWT (JSNI)

    - by rybz
    Hi, I've encountered an curious problem while trying to use some objects through JSNI in GWT. Let's say we have javscript file with the function defined: test.js: function test(arg){ var type = typeof(arg); if (arg instanceof Array) alert('Array'); if (arg instanceof Object) alert('Object'); if (arg instanceof String) alert('String'); } And the we want to call this function user JSNI: public static native void testx()/ *-{ $wnd.test( new Array(1, 2, 3) ); $wnd.test( [ 1, 2, 3 ] ); $wnd.test( {val:1} ); $wnd.test( "Some text" ); }-*/; The questions are: why instanceof instructions will always return false? why typeof will always return "object" ? how to pass these objects so that they were recognized properly?

  • Single-letter prefix for PHP class constants?

    - by keithjgrant
    I've noticed many (all?) PHP constants have a single-letter prefix, like E_NOTICE, T_STRING, etc. When defining a set of class constants that work in conjunction with one another, do you prefer to follow similar practice, or do you prefer to be more verbose? class Foo { // let's say 'I' means "input" or some other relevant word const I_STRING = 'string'; const I_INTEGER = 'integer'; const I_FLOAT = 'float'; } or class Bar { const INPUT_STRING = 'string'; const INPUT_INTEGER = 'integer'; const INPUT_FLOAT = 'float'; }

  • Json return code to simplify if possible.

  • How to store and access ajax data in javascript without using global variables ?

    - by mike_t2e
    I may be missing something obvious here, but how could I rewrite this code so that it doesn't need the theVariable to be a global variable ? <script language="javascript"> theVariable = ""; function setValue() /* called on page load */ { /* make ajax call to the server here */ theVariable = "a string of json data waiting to be eval()'d"; } function getValue() { alert(theVariable); } </script> <input type="button" onClick="javascript:getValue()" value="Get the value"> In my actual situation, the setValue function makes an ajax call to the server, receives a json string and the data from that is accessed when you mouseover various parts of the page. I end up using several global variables which works fine, but is messy and I'd like to know if there's a better and more elegant way of doing it ?

  • Problem Executing Async Web Request

    - by davidhayes
    Hi Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong with this simple code? When I run it it hangs on using (Stream postStream = request.EndGetRequestStream(asynchronousResult)) If I comment out the requestState.Wait.WaitOne(); line the code executes correctly but obviously doesn't wait for the response. I'm guessing the the call to EndGetRequestStream is somehow returning me to the context of the main thread?? I'm pretty sure my code is essentially the same as the sample though (MSDN Documentation) using System; using System.Net; using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Controls; using System.Windows.Documents; using System.Windows.Ink; using System.Windows.Input; using System.Windows.Media; using System.Windows.Media.Animation; using System.Windows.Shapes; using System.IO; using System.Text; namespace SBRemoteClient { public class JSONClient { public string ExecuteJSONQuery(string url, string query) { System.Uri uri = new Uri(url); HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(uri); request.Method = "POST"; request.Accept = "application/json"; byte[] requestBytes = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(query); RequestState requestState = new RequestState(request, requestBytes); IAsyncResult resultRequest = request.BeginGetRequestStream(new AsyncCallback(GetRequestStreamCallback), requestState); requestState.Wait.WaitOne(); IAsyncResult resultResponse = (IAsyncResult)request.BeginGetResponse(new AsyncCallback(GetResponseStreamCallback), requestState); requestState.Wait.WaitOne(); return requestState.Response; } private static void GetRequestStreamCallback(IAsyncResult asynchronousResult) { try { RequestState requestState = (RequestState)asynchronousResult.AsyncState; HttpWebRequest request = requestState.Request; using (Stream postStream = request.EndGetRequestStream(asynchronousResult)) { postStream.Write(requestState.RequestBytes, 0, requestState.RequestBytes.Length); } requestState.Wait.Set(); } catch (Exception e) { Console.Out.WriteLine(e); } } private static void GetResponseStreamCallback(IAsyncResult asynchronousResult) { RequestState requestState = (RequestState)asynchronousResult.AsyncState; HttpWebRequest request = requestState.Request; using (HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)request.EndGetResponse(asynchronousResult)) { using (Stream responseStream = response.GetResponseStream()) { using (StreamReader streamRead = new StreamReader(responseStream)) { requestState.Response = streamRead.ReadToEnd(); requestState.Wait.Set(); } } } } } }

  • Reverse Expression.Like criterion

    - by Joel Potter
    How should I go about writing a backwards like statement using NHibernate criteria? WHERE 'somestring' LIKE [Property] + '%' Sub Question: Can you access the abstract root alias in a SQLCriterion expression? This is somewhat achievable using the SQLCriterion expression Expression.Sql("? like {alias}.[Property] + '.%'", value, NHibernateUtil.String); However, in the case of class inheritance, {alias} is replaced with the incorrect alias for the column. Example (these classes are stored in separate tables): public abstract class Parent { public virtual string Property { get; set; } } public class Child : Parent { } The above query executed with Child as the root type will replace {alias} with the alias to the Child table rather than the Parent table. This results in an invalid column exception. I need to execute a like statement as above where the property exists on the parent table rather than on the root type table.

  • Extract a regular expression match in R version 2.10

    - by tovare
    Hi, I'm trying to extract a number from a string. And do something like this [0-9]+ on this string "aaaa12xxxx" and get "12". I thought it would be something like: > grep("[0-9]+","aaa12xxx", value=TRUE) [1] "aaa12xxx" And then I figured... > sub("[0-9]+", "\\1", "aaa12xxxx") [1] "aaa12xxx" But I got some form of response doing: > sub("[0-9]+", "ARGH!", "aaa12xxxx") [1] "aaaARGH!xxx" There's a small detail I'm missing Please advice :-) I'm using R version 2.10.1 (2009-12-14) Thanks ! Comments on the solution The best solution is to ignore the standard functions and install Hadley Wickham's stringr package to get something that actually makes sense. Kudos to Marek for figuring out how the standard library worked.

The source code is for capturing the image by webcam: import javax.swing.*; import javax.swing.event.*; import java.io.*; import javax.media.*; import javax.media.format.*; import javax.media.util.*; import javax.media.control.*; import javax.media.protocol.*; import java.util.*; import java.awt.*; import java.awt.image.*; import java.awt.event.*; import com.sun.image.codec.jpeg.*; public class SwingCapture extends Panel implements ActionListener { public static Player player = null; public CaptureDeviceInfo di = null; public MediaLocator ml = null; public JButton capture = null; public Buffer buf = null; public Image img = null; public VideoFormat vf = null; public BufferToImage btoi = null; public ImagePanel imgpanel = null; public SwingCapture() { setLayout(new BorderLayout()); setSize(320,550); imgpanel = new ImagePanel(); capture = new JButton("Capture"); capture.addActionListener(this); String str1 = "vfw:Logitech USB Video Camera:0"; String str2 = "vfw:Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32):0"; di = CaptureDeviceManager.getDevice(str2); ml = di.getLocator(); try { player = Manager.createRealizedPlayer(ml); player.start(); Component comp; if ((comp = player.getVisualComponent()) != null) { add(comp,BorderLayout.NORTH); } add(capture,BorderLayout.CENTER); add(imgpanel,BorderLayout.SOUTH); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } public static void main(String[] args) { Frame f = new Frame("SwingCapture"); SwingCapture cf = new SwingCapture(); f.addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() { public void windowClosing(WindowEvent e) { playerclose(); System.exit(0);}}); f.add("Center",cf); f.pack(); f.setSize(new Dimension(320,550)); f.setVisible(true); } public static void playerclose() { player.close(); player.deallocate(); } public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { JComponent c = (JComponent) e.getSource(); if (c == capture) { // Grab a frame FrameGrabbingControl fgc = (FrameGrabbingControl) player.getControl("javax.media.control.FrameGrabbingControl"); buf = fgc.grabFrame(); // Convert it to an image btoi = new BufferToImage((VideoFormat)buf.getFormat()); img = btoi.createImage(buf); // show the image imgpanel.setImage(img); // save image saveJPG(img,"c:\\test.jpg"); } } class ImagePanel extends Panel { public Image myimg = null; public ImagePanel() { setLayout(null); setSize(320,240); } public void setImage(Image img) { this.myimg = img; repaint(); } public void paint(Graphics g) { if (myimg != null) { g.drawImage(myimg, 0, 0, this); } } } public static void saveJPG(Image img, String s) { BufferedImage bi = new BufferedImage(img.getWidth(null), img.getHeight(null), BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB); Graphics2D g2 = bi.createGraphics(); g2.drawImage(img, null, null); FileOutputStream out = null; try { out = new FileOutputStream(s); } catch (java.io.FileNotFoundException io) { System.out.println("File Not Found"); } JPEGImageEncoder encoder = JPEGCodec.createJPEGEncoder(out); JPEGEncodeParam param = encoder.getDefaultJPEGEncodeParam(bi); param.setQuality(0.5f,false); encoder.setJPEGEncodeParam(param); try { encoder.encode(bi); out.close(); } catch (java.io.IOException io) { System.out.println("IOException"); } } } This code is sucessfully compiled. On running the code, the following runtime error occurs: Exception in thread "VFW Request Thread" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:JMFSecurityManager: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:no jmvfw in java.library.path at com.sun.media.JMFSecurityManager.loadLibrary(JMFSecurityManager.java:206) at com.sun.media.protocol.vfw.VFWCapture.<clinit><VFWCapture.java:19> at com.sun.media.protocol.vfw.VFWSourceStream.doConnect(VFWSourceStream.java:241) at com.sun.media.protocol.vfw.VFWSourceStream.run(VFWSourceStream.java:763) at java.cdlang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619) Please send me solution of this problem/

  • Passing a 'var' into another method

    - by Danny
    Hi, I am probably totally missing the point here but.... How can I pass a 'var' into another method? (I am using linq to load XML into an Enumerable list of objects). I have differernt object types (with different fields), but the final step of my process is the same regardless of which object is being used. XNamespace xmlns = ScehmaName; var result = from e in XElement.Load(XMLDocumentLocation).Elements(xmlns + ElementName) select new Object1 { Field1 = (string)e.Element(xmlns + "field1"), Field2 = (string)e.Element(xmlns + "field2") }; var result2 = Enumerable.Distinct(result); This code will vary for the different type of XML files that will be processed. But I then want to iterate though the code to check for various issues: foreach (var w in result2) { if (w.CheckIT()) { //do something } } What I would love is the final step to be in a method in the base class, and I can pass the 'var' varible into it from each child class.
