  • Library For Opengl 1.4?

    My netbook only supports openGL version 1.4, my GPU is intel gma 3150, so for you what is the best library/tools to use or somewhat great move to make/advice, there are no wrong answers, (I am trying to create a game) PS: I already check the net for resources but, opengl (redbook) 4th edition is scarce (and redbook for v1.1 is already deprecated and is very OLD than what I'm looking for), besides I don't have money to buy a new laptop or a opengl book from online shop because international delivery is very expensive, I'm from outside US.

    I bought a Dell Inspiron 5520 15R last week and I am a newbie in Ubuntu platform. I installed Windows 7 as well as Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit. But my wireless device is not detected in Ubuntu while it is working fine in Windows OS. My wireless device is Dell Wireless 1704 802.11B 2.4GHZ. Is this a compatibility problem with Ubuntu. What would be the solution? Do I need to install another version of Ubuntu?

    I am new to version control system and in my new job they are using mercurial. All other commnads are easy to type from linux but i get to problem with i have to do idff merge of documents with diffput and diffget. I am using the eclispe and have used the mercurial plugin for eclipse. So far its commiting the changes but i am not getting anything , where i can see the two files for merging. Any ideas

  • Clicking links in pdfs opened with Okular opens Abiword (instead of the default browser)

    I work with Xubuntu 12.04 and use Okular (version 0.14.3) to view pdf files. If I click a link in a pdf file (created with pdflatex using the hyperref package), Abiword is opened instead of my default browser google-chrome. How can I change this behavior? The settings in Okular do not seem to provide a solution. (Note that I set google-chrome as the preferred application for web browsing under Settings - Preferred Applications, so that's not the problem).

    We have a client who has instructed Reach Local to manage their paid SEO work etc. RL have created a proxy version of the page at http://example-px.rtrk.co.uk which mirrors the existing site completely. Would I be correct in assuming that this would count as duplicate content and one or both of the sites would be penalized because of this? And would the addition of a rel="canonical" meta-tag on the proxy site assist with this? Many thanks in advance.

    I ran : sudo apt-get install curl libcurl3 libcurl3-dev php5-curl Put: extension=php_curl.so in both /etc/php5/cli/php.ini and /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini But running php from the command line gives me the following error: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php5/20090626+lfs/php_curl.so' - /usr/lib/php5/20090626+lfs/php_curl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 Running the install commands again tells me that everything is already the newest version. Running: locate php_curl.so Returns nothing.

    The beta for BIDS Helper 1.6 was just released. We have not updated the version notification just yet as we would like to get some feedback on people's experiences with the SQL 2012 version. So if you are using SQL 2012, go grab it and let us know how you go (you can post a comment on this blog post or on the BIDS Helper site itself). This is the first release that supports SQL 2012 and consequently also the first release that runs in Visual Studio 2010. A big thanks to Greg Galloway for doing the bulk of the work on this release. Please note that if you are doing an xcopy deploy that you will need to unblock the files you download or you will get a cryptic error message. This appears to be caused by a security update to either Visual Studio or the .Net framework – the xcopy deploy instructions have been updated to show you how to do this. Or should the events be replayed every time the application is started to get the latest version of each entity in the memory? Seems like a waste on larger systems (as in large amount of data)? The point with event sourcing is that I can can replay the events to populate a data store if required? (or analyze the data)

What would it take to get developers to pay for something that is already freely available? I have always wanted to start my own ISV by writing my own tools and selling them in the open market, but it's hard to gauge the demand, given that free alternatives already exist. Does anyone else have any successful experiences selling a commercial version of an open-source product?

    I'm trying to put a GarageBand project under version control with Git, but I've noticed that every time I make changes to my song and try to add and commit, Git claims that "there are no changes to commit" and that "everything is up-to-date." Is this because GarageBand files are binary or something weird that Git can't properly track? Or do I need to add some special flags to my Git commands? Thanks for the help!

I called them they say they can't help unless I have windows but I don't want to go back to windows I tried rootkit hunter but it didn't work either I don't know what is wrong , how could this keep coming up even after formatting my hard ? is it possible that the ubuntu version I have downloaded from the website is defective , the problem didn't appear with linux mint or xubuntu it only appeared when I replaced unity with cinnamon but now it appears right away after clean installation of ubuntu 12.04
