  • Cutom event dispatchment location

    - by Martino Wullems
Hello, I've been looking into custom event (listeners) for quite some time, but never succeeded in making one. There are so many different mehods, extending the Event class, but also Extending the EventDispatcher class, very confusing! I want to settle with this once and for all and learn the appriopate technique. package{ import flash.events.Event; public class CustomEvent extends Event{ public static const TEST:String = 'test'; //what exac is the purpose of the value in the string? public var data:Object; public function CustomEvent(type:String, bubbles:Boolean = false, cancelable:Boolean = false, data:Object = null):void { this.data = data; super(); } } } As far as I know a custom class where you set the requirements for the event to be dispatched has to be made: package { import flash.display.MovieClip; public class TestClass extends MovieClip { public function TestClass():void { if (ConditionForHoldToComplete == true) { dispatchEvent(new Event(CustomEvent.TEST)); } } } } I'm not sure if this is correct, but it should be something along the lines of this. Now What I want is something like a mouseevent, which can be applied to a target and does not require a specific class. It would have to work something like this: package com.op_pad._events{ import flash.events.MouseEvent; import flash.utils.Timer; import flash.events.TimerEvent; import flash.events.EventDispatcher; import flash.events.Event; public class HoldEvent extends Event { public static const HOLD_COMPLETE:String = "hold completed"; var timer:Timer; public function SpriteEvent(type:String, bubbles:Boolean=true, cancelable:Boolean=false) { super( type, bubbles, cancelable ); timer = new Timer(1000, 1); //somehow find the target where is event is placed upon -> target.addEventlistener target.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, startTimer); target.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, stopTimer); } public override function clone():Event { return new SpriteEvent(type, bubbles, cancelable); } public override function toString():String { return formatToString("MovieEvent", "type", "bubbles", "cancelable", "eventPhase"); } ////////////////////////////////// ///// c o n d i t i o n s ///// ////////////////////////////////// private function startTimer(e:MouseEvent):void { timer.start(); timer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER_COMPLETE, complete); } private function stopTimer(e:MouseEvent):void { timer.stop() } public function complete(e:TimerEvent):void { dispatchEvent(new HoldEvent(HoldEvent.HOLD_COMPLETE)); } } } This obviously won't work, but should give you an idea of what I want to achieve. This should be possible because mouseevent can be applied to about everything. The main problem is that I don't know where I should set the requirements for the event to be executed to be able to apply it to movieclips and sprites. Thanks in advance

  • How to properly close a process with NppExec?

    - by Sam the Great
I'm not sure what's going on here, but the following code continues running even after I end the process in the NppExec console with Ctrl-C (during the execution of the while loop). I restarted my computer to stop the Ctrl key sends. However, if I run the script in Window's cmd prompt, Ctrl-C ends the script just fine. import time import win32com.client shell = win32com.client.Dispatch("WScript.Shell") time.sleep(2) while True: shell.SendKeys('^') # Ctrl key time.sleep(0.5) The NppExec run command I used was: cmd /C python -u "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" Let me know if there is any more information I can provide. Thanks.

  • Migrating schema and SP from informix to mysql

    - by zombiegx
We need to redo a database in MySQL that has been already done on Informix, is there a way to migrate not only the schema, but the stored procedures as well? Thanks. We have a client whom we built a web application that uses an Informix database. Now the client wants to be able to implement the same software but on multiple closed networks (like 20). Doing this using Informix would be very expensive (20 licences X_X). So the best approach is to redo the database on something like MySQL. The application was done using Flex, .Net (using ODBC) and Informix.

  • Delphi LoadLibrary Failing to find DLL other directory - any good options?

    - by Chris Thornton
Two Delphi programs need to load foo.dll, which contains some code that injects a client-auth certificate into a SOAP request. foo.dll resides in c:\fooapp\foo.dll and is normally loaded by c:\fooapp\foo.exe. That works fine. The other program needs the same functionality, but it resides in c:\program files\unwantedstepchild\sadapp.exe. Both aps load the DLL with this code: FOOLib := LoadLibrary('foo.dll'); ... If FOOLib <> 0 then begin FOOProc := GetProcAddress(FOOLib , 'xInjectCert'); FOOProc(myHttpRequest, Data, CertName); end; It works great for foo.exe, as the dll is right there. sadapp.exe fails to load the library, so FOOLib is 0, and the rest never gets called. The sadapp.exe program therefore silently fails to inject the cert, and when we test against production, it the cert is missing, do the connection fails. Obviously, we should have fully-qualified the path to the DLL. Without going into a lot of details, there were aspects of the testing that masked this problem until recently, and now it's basically too late to fix in code, as that would require a full regression test, and there isn't time for that. Since we've painted ourselves into a corner, I need to know if there are any options that I've overlooked. While we can't change the code (for this release), we CAN tweak the installer. I've found that placing c:\fooapp into the path works. As does adding a second copy of foo.dll directly into c:\program files\unwantedstepchild. c:\fooapp\foo.exe will always be running while sadapp.exe is running, so I was hoping that Windows would find it that way, but apparently not. Is there a way to tell Windows that I really want that same DLL? Maybe a manifest or something? This is the sort of "magic bullet" that I'm looking for. I know I can: Modify the windows path, probably in the installer. That's ugly. Add a second copy of the DLL, directly into the unwantedstepchild folder. Also ugly Delay the project while we code and test a proper fix. Unacceptable. Other? Thanks for any guidance, especially with "Other". I understand that this issue is not necessarily specific to Delphi. Thanks!

  • Can't print elements in a DIV tag

    - by Mckenzi
I am using a Drag-able and re-sizeable DIV's in this HTML file. Where the user will place the DIV tag to his desired place in a main parent DIV tag. Now I want to print this main DIV tag, but the problem is that the code which I'm using to PRINT this main DIV is printing in a sequence, like not the way user has arranged the DIV's. • Testing objects for changes

    - by David Veeneman
I have an application that needs to determine whether a user has made a change to an object. So, when the object is first loaded, I create a deep copy (using serialization/deserialization) and save the copy to a separate field. The copy becomes myCurrentObject, and the original becomes myOriginalObject. Now I need to test myCurrentObject for changes, which I plan to do by comparing it to myOriginalObject. All I need is a boolean result indicating whether any changes have been made. I have already determined that a simple hashcode comparison won't work. GetHashCode() generates different results for the two objects, even when there are no changes. I am getting ready to write a method to do a property-by-property comparison, but before I do, I thought I would check to see if there is a simpler and more reusable way to test myCurrentObject to see if it has changed from myOriginalObject. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

  • getjson and servers

    - by gheil.apl
Is getJSON only useful for those who control a server? Is there any other alternative for getting data from a file? i tried $.getJSON("good.json", function(data){ out=out+"good.json: "+data + ","; }); where good.json = {"a":"1","b":"2"} and got a result of 'null' for data. These all are valid JSON files, and all give null when used in the above: good.htm assoc.json assoc.js stub.json stub.js test.js test.txt and all get a null result... The above is in an interactive setting at http://jsbin.com/dbJSON/8/edit the output (of null) is to be had by clicking 'output'.

  • Streaming a non-PCM WAV file to a SilverLight application

    - by Satumba
Hi, I would like to allow users to play recorded WAV files that stored on a server back to a Silverlight application as a client to play them. I saw that there is a way to play a WAV file on Silverlight (here), but when i tried to impliment it, i got an error playing the file because it is not in PCM format but encoded. The files that i'm trying to play are encoded with a special encoder, so i thought that the only way is to decode the WAV file on the server and stream it back to the client. The limitation is that the decode process should occur in real time because it is not reasonable to convert all the WAV files that exists. Is it possible to do it? Which streamer can i use? (Windows Media Service can help here?) Does somebody has any experience with such a scenario? Appreciate your help.

  • How do I mock memory allocation failures ?

    - by Andrei Ciobanu
I want to extensively test some pieces of C code for memory leaks. On my machine I have 4 Gb of RAM, so it's very unlikely for a dynamic memory allocation to fail. Still I want to see the comportment of the code if memory allocation fails, and see if the recover mechanism is "strong" enough. What do you suggest ? How do I emulate an environment with lower memory specs ? How do i mock my tests ? EDIT: I want my tests to be code independent. I only have "access" to return values for different functions in the library I am testing. I am not supposed to write "test logic" inside the code I am testing.

  • Python4Delphi: Returning a python object in a function. (DelphiWrapper)

    - by Gabriel Fonseca
I am using python4delphi. ow can I return an object from a wrapped Delphi class function? Code Snippet: I have a simple Delphi Class that i wrapped to Python Script, right? TSimple = Class Private function getvar1:string; Public Published property var1:string read getVar1; function getObj:TSimple; end; ... function TSimple.getVar1:string; begin result:='hello'; end; function TSimple.getObj:TSimple; begin result:=self; end; I made the TPySimple like the demo32 to give class access to the python code. My python module name is test. TPyDado = class(TPyDelphiPersistent) // Constructors & Destructors constructor Create( APythonType : TPythonType ); override; constructor CreateWith( PythonType : TPythonType; args : PPyObject ); override; // Basic services function Repr : PPyObject; override; class function DelphiObjectClass : TClass; override; end; ... { TPyDado } constructor TPyDado.Create(APythonType: TPythonType); begin inherited; // we need to set DelphiObject property DelphiObject := TDado.Create; with TDado(DelphiObject) do begin end; Owned := True; // We own the objects we create end; constructor TPyDado.CreateWith(PythonType: TPythonType; args: PPyObject); begin inherited; with GetPythonEngine, DelphiObject as TDado do begin if PyArg_ParseTuple( args, ':CreateDado' ) = 0 then Exit; end; end; class function TPyDado.DelphiObjectClass: TClass; begin Result := TDado; end; function TPyDado.Repr: PPyObject; begin with GetPythonEngine, DelphiObject as TDado do Result := VariantAsPyObject(Format('',[])); // or Result := PyString_FromString( PAnsiChar(Format('(%d, %d)',[x, y])) ); end; And now the python code: import test a = test.Simple() # try access the property var1 and everything is right print a.var1 # work's, but.. b = a.getObj(); # raise a exception that not find any attributes named getObj. # if the function returns a string for example, it's work.

  • Why is the event object different coming from jquery bind vs. addEventListener

    - by yodaisgreen
    Why is it when I use the jQuery bind the event object I get back is different from the event object I get back using addEventListener? The event object resulting from this jQuery bind does not have the targetTouches array (among other things) but the event from the addEventListener does. Is it me or is something not right here? $(document).ready (function () { $("#test").bind("touchmove", function (event) { console.log(event.targetTouches[0].pageX); // targetTouches is undefined }); }); vs. $(document).ready (function () { var foo = document.querySelectorAll('#test') foo[0].addEventListener('touchmove', function (event) { console.log(event.targetTouches[0].pageX); // returns the correct values }, false); });

  • jQuery Rollovers Not Preloading

    - by zuk1
$('.ro').hover( function(){ t = $(this); t.attr('src',t.attr('src').replace(/([^.]*)\.(.*)/, "$1_o.$2")); }, function(){ t = $(this); t.attr('src',t.attr('src').replace('_o','')); } ); I use this code so that (for examle) test.gif with the class 'ro' would change to test_o.gif on rollover, the problem is when the images aren't in the cache there is lag on rollover and rolloff. Basically if I clear my cache and visit the test page, everytime I rollover and rolloff the image it is loading the file each time, so you could sit there for hours and it would still be loading the rollover images each time. However, when I refresh the page and the images are now in the cache it works instantly, which is what I need to achieve. I've tried using this http://flesler.blogspot.com/2008/01/jquerypreload.html plugin to preload the images with this $.preload('.ro'); code, but it seems to have no effect. Any ideas?

  • Twisted: why is it that passing a deferred callback to a deferred thread makes the thread blocking a

    - by surtyaarthoughts
I unsuccessfully tried using txredis (the non blocking twisted api for redis) for a persisting message queue I'm trying to set up with a scrapy project I am working on. I found that although the client was not blocking, it became much slower than it could have been because what should have been one event in the reactor loop was split up into thousands of steps. So instead, I tried making use of redis-py (the regular blocking twisted api) and wrapping the call in a deferred thread. It works great, however I want to perform an inner deferred when I make a call to redis as I would like to set up connection pooling in attempts to speed things up further. Below is my interpretation of some sample code taken from the twisted docs for a deferred thread to illustrate my use case: #!/usr/bin/env python from twisted.internet import reactor, threads from twisted.internet.task import LoopingCall import time def main_loop(): print 'doing stuff in main loop.. do not block me!' def aBlockingRedisCall(): print 'doing lookup... this may take a while' time.sleep(10) return 'results from redis' def result(res): print res def main(): lc = LoopingCall(main_loop) lc.start(2) d = threads.deferToThread(aBlockingRedisCall) d.addCallback(result) reactor.run() if __name__=='__main__': main() And here is my alteration for connection pooling that makes the code in the deferred thread blocking : #!/usr/bin/env python from twisted.internet import reactor, defer from twisted.internet.task import LoopingCall import time def main_loop(): print 'doing stuff in main loop.. do not block me!' def aBlockingRedisCall(x): if x<5: #all connections are busy, try later print '%s is less than 5, get a redis client later' % x x+=1 d = defer.Deferred() d.addCallback(aBlockingRedisCall) reactor.callLater(1.0,d.callback,x) return d else: print 'got a redis client; doing lookup.. this may take a while' time.sleep(10) # this is now blocking.. any ideas? d = defer.Deferred() d.addCallback(gotFinalResult) d.callback(x) return d def gotFinalResult(x): return 'final result is %s' % x def result(res): print res def aBlockingMethod(): print 'going to sleep...' time.sleep(10) print 'woke up' def main(): lc = LoopingCall(main_loop) lc.start(2) d = defer.Deferred() d.addCallback(aBlockingRedisCall) d.addCallback(result) reactor.callInThread(d.callback, 1) reactor.run() if __name__=='__main__': main() So my question is, does anyone know why my alteration causes the deferred thread to be blocking and/or can anyone suggest a better solution?

  • Alternative for PHPlivedocx?

    - by Derek
Hello, Is there any other free alternatives to PHPliveDocx? I would like to create a Word document based on templates and user inputted data. The template will resides on the server and the client(online or c# windows application) will be used to collect user input. Once data has been collected, server-side script(PHP) will be used to generate a Word document. So far I have only found phplivedocx. However I'm not very comfortable at consuming web services from a server that I have no control over with (am I worrying too much?). I have also thought about using client to do the work (c# windows application, Open Office XML). But I'm not sure that's the right way of doing things. Any guidance/help will be really appreciated! Thanks!

  • multiline gtk.Label ignores xalign=0.5

    - by thomas
A gtk.Label can't be aligned in center when line-wrap is turned on. Example code: import pygtk pygtk.require('2.0') import gtk class testwin(gtk.Window): def __init__(self): gtk.Window.__init__(self) width, height = 300,300 self.set_size_request(width,height) self.set_position(gtk.WIN_POS_CENTER) self.set_title("test window") label = gtk.Label("test text") label.set_line_wrap(True) label.set_justify(gtk.JUSTIFY_CENTER) label.set_alignment(0.5,0.5) label.connect("size-allocate",lambda l,s: l.set_size_request(s.width-1, -1)) self.add(label) self.connect("destroy", gtk.main_quit) self.show_all() testwin() gtk.main() It looks like this, that means, it's aligned left: http://m45.img-up.net/?up=pic122x97.png If you comment out line 14 (set_line_wrap) everything is perfectly fine: http://o54.img-up.net/?up=pic2y00p9.png Please note that yalign works fine. So it seems like the first argument in the gtk.Misc.set_alignment-function has no effect when line wrap is turned on. Using Fedora 16, 64bit, gtk 3.2.4, pygtk 2.24.0, python 2.7.2 Question: Is this intended or a bug? How is it supposed to be made or is a workaround available?

  • Tree View Control problem with render Control function

    - by vikas
I am using TreeView Control in Asp.net. I have placed this control inside a panel. The tree control is completely binded (we don’t want populate on demand) with an Xmldatasource during a callback and then I call Panel.renderControl to return the response (HTML) to the client side callback handler. Problem: 1. The tree expand/collapse (on click of plus sign) is causing postback whereas when I normally bind a tree with xml during postback and without using renderControl of container control, the expand/collapse (on click of plus sign) is being handled at client side.

  • VB.Net variable declaration

    - by dcp
I notice that both of these compile without any compiler warnings or errors, even with Option Strict and Option Explicit both turned on: Dim x As Exception = New Exception("this is a test") Dim y = New Exception("this is another test") My question is, is it more proper to use the first way (see variable x) or the second way (see variable y)? My guess is that VB doesn't need the As clause since the variable is being initialized in place, so the compiler can infer the type. I tend to like the first way as it just "feels" right and is more consistent with other languages like C#, just wondered if there was some good reason for one way over the other. I guess it's really personal choice.

I've created a test suite in NUnit that references several distinct unit test fixtures in various assemblies. I've pretty much used the example code from NUnit's docs: namespace NUnit.Tests { using System; using NUnit.Framework; using System.Collections; public class AllTests { [Suite] public static IEnumerable Suite { get { ArrayList suite = new ArrayList(); suite.Add(new VisionMap.DotNet.Tests.ManagedInteropTest.DotNetUtilsTest()); return suite; } } } } My goal is to add several tests to the list above so I can run them all in a batch. But when I try to load the DLL in NUnit's GUI I get this: What am I doing wrong? I'm using nunit 2.5.0.9122.
