    Hi, I am doing an App which access the gprs .I am facing problem when the user starts another application who uses gprs also like google maps .It takes it own heap memory ,after doing some operation on Maps app it calls OnLowMemory of my service .and my ui is also killed in background. I am not getting any proper tutorial haw can i start my app when it is getting killed during onLowMemory ,or is there any other way to handle it . Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I can use findViewById() function to find the specific views (defined in my_layout.xml file) and customize them from code only after I called setContentView(R.layout.my_layout). But what if I want to customize my layout first, before calling setContentView()? How can I access the specific views before calling setContentView()?

    Consider you have the following class public class OuterClass { ... private static class InnerClass { int foo; int bar; } } I think I've read somewhere (but not the official Java Tutorial) that if I would declare the static member classes attributes private, the compiler had to generate some sort of accessor methods so that the outer class can actually access the static member class's (which is effectively a package-private top level class) attributes. Any ideas on that?

    Is there any pitfalls when using char*'s to write cross platform code that does memory access? I'm working on a play memory allocator to better understand how to debug memmory issues. I have come to believe char*'s are preferable because of the ability to do pointer arithmetic and derefernce them over void*'s, is that true?     I've created a class that calls an object in the "__construct" how can i make this object available through out the class. class SocialMedia { function __construct() { $object = "whatever"; } } how can I access $object in the other funtions (which are static) from with in the class. I've tried to use "$this-object" but I get an error "$this when not in object context" when I try to call it from my other static functions.

    I used subsoniccentral for pre-building my access code using SubSonic 2.x. My site works in medium trust. I'd like to upgrade to 3.0, but when downloading the binaries and the source, I don't see anything related to subsoniccentral. Is it now deprecated? Or can I just use the old one with the new binaries?
