Are they using a custom design or is that a script? If it's custom, is there something similar to it that I could use to document my software?
I have been given data which cannot be interpreted by my software unless it has a lowercase letter at the end. The data was delivered with an uppercase letter at the end.
Somehow I need to first recursively loop through all folders and find whether the filename ends with a letter and then change it to lowercase.
I think python could do this, but I don´t know how,. Any help would be great!

Rob
hey i know that on some computers you can cut offthe wifi with a buttion and i want to do that with my desktop but it's not wireless. is there a way to in code block my computer from the internet then unblock later. anyway i can do this?
On some pages youtube uses "Turn offthe lights" feature.
The same can be done in jQuery. Example
The example dims the entire page background but the video player remains on the top. Why is it so?
And what is the simplest way to dim all divs except the video one explicitly?
I have the following directory structure:
vardir1
vardir2
vardir3
vardir4
constantdir1
Inside constantdir1, i have an ant build script which takes the list of vardir1 to vardir4 and compiles them sequentially. The situation is, vardir1 to vardir4 may or may not exist all the time. Right now I have hard coded the values in the list and checking to see if the vardir is available before I kick off its compilation. Is there any way I can dynamically populate this list in my ant build script?
I'm doing an IE automation using WatiN.

I would like my iPhone app to get dynamic content offthe net. This content should be managed using a CMS. I would like to know in particular if I can setup Drupal or Joomla or other CMS as a backend for my iphone app to get the content.
Any advice on how this can be achieved would be helpful.
I am completely new to setting up/using CMS.
In a linguistic project of mine I need to use symbols not contained in Unicode. I can draw the font, but would like to avoid overwriting characters defined by the standard. Are there any standard solutions for such cases? As reserved ranges etc. I'd need common Unicode-aware software to handle it seamlessly.
Hi All,
I know how to loop through items of an array using foreach and append a comma, but it's always a pain having to take offthe final comma. Is there an easy PHP way of doing it?
$fruit = array('apple', 'banana', 'pear', 'grape');
Ultimately I want
$result = "apple, banana, pear, grape"
Is it safe to store information such as usernames and passwords within comments in your source code? I am not worried about some getting access to my source but I am concerned in regards to someone decompiling my compiled silverlight XAP file. Is anybody 100% sure if the compiler strips off commented code. I would assume it does but I want to be sure.
Thanks!
I am trying to get python to make noise when certain things happen. Preferably, i would like to play music of some kind, however some kind of distinctive beeping would be sufficient, like an electronic timer going off. I have thus far only been able to make the system speaker chime using pywin32's Beep, however this simply does not have the volume for my application.
Any ideas on how I can do this?
I'm interested in hacking one of those digital picture frames (like you see for sale at Walmart) so it fetches and displays an image offthe web every 5 minutes or so. (I'm going to have it load a current image.) Any ideas on how to get started?
Hello all,
I am currently in the process of designing an interface for .NET software that would be consumed by COM objects - specifically, VB6.
While I have found a number of pages by Microsoft detailing how to make an COM-interoperable interface, I am currently tripping over the use of Collections in design time: I would like to be able to use a standard VB6 "Collection object" in the .NET program - for example, specify an argument as being a VB6 collection - and thus minimize the time necessary for clients to consume the interface.
Thank you in advance.
If I have three targets, one "all", one "compile" and one "jsps", how would I make "all" depend on the other two
Would it be
<target name="all" depends="compile,jsps">
or would it be
<target name="all" depends="compile","jsps">
Or maybe something even different?
I tried searching for example ant scripts to base it off of, but I couldn't find one with multiple depends.
Thanks!
Everytime I load my model into XNA, I can usually see it far off in the distance. When I change some parameters and make it zoom up close, 10/10 times it's rotated funny and I'm set with the task of rotating it. Is there any easy way to do it except by experimenting? Or am I exporting it wrong (using Blender)? Is there any value I should set the objects in my 3d scene to be before exporting it so they appear 'upright'?
The INotifyPropertyChanged is obviously very useful in the view model for data binding to the view. Should I also use this interface in other parts of my application (e.g. in the business layer) when I want notifications of property changes, or I am better off using other notification mechanisms? I realize that there is nothing stopping me from using it, but are there any reasons that I shouldn't?
So this my first question here, let's look how it works.
I'm working on a project, which has to to provide a "Native XML WebService" on a SQL Server 2005. The web service and the WSDL generation works fine. But there are troubles with the authentication.
Is it possible to turn the authentication off (The tests and the documentation by Microsoft say no.)?
And if so how?

Hi,
Did any one over here work in "VisIt" visualization software? I have a dataset where the x, y, z coordinates are stored in separate bin files, i don't know how to visualize these files in VisIt, which would be the best file format to use.
Till now, we were using Advanced Visual System (AVS) .fld files to read the data in AVS, now we have to switch to VisIt, don't know how to do it. Would appreciate if anyone can give some pointers in this direction.
I'm running Win XP 64bit and am connecting a Motocliq to my computer. The device is recognized by windows and shows up in the device manager (Motorola ADB Interface), however when I try to install drivers (manually, from the usb_driver revision 3 provided by Android) it fails giving the error "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software."
Does anyone else have experience installing this drivers on XP64bit/Motocliq?
Hi,
I have to implement auto-logout functionality in one of my projects and i just cant figure out where to start looking for ideas but SO.
What i need is for the application to redirect the user to the login page if the user session has expired.
Please tell me as to what should be my approach to tackle this requirement.
Problem Statement:
If the user leaves the system for more than n minutes in any given log-in instance, the system should automatically log them off.
There are plenty of projects out there that assist developers in posting things to Twitter; the one I can think of offthe top of my head is Twitterizer.
Are there any projects for posting to StatusNet?
Given that StatusNet implements an API very similar to Twitter, I could probably modify/extend Twitterizer to do just that.
However, I'd like to avoid reinventing the wheel if at all possible if something exists already.
VisualSVN server is a nice piece of software; particularly in that it uses the builtin Windows authentication mechanism on my server. I'd like to try to start using Mercurial though, and I'd like to keep the Windows authentication scheme.
Is there some way to set this kind of thing up using the tools available on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard (in particular, IIS 7)?
