• Leveraging a hosted web font service from a local development server?

  There are a number of popular web font services on the market today who "host" the fonts and serve them to your web page via javascript or CSS pointing to remote locations. For example http://webfonts.fonts.com or http://typekit.com However, there seems to be an issue when you're developing on a local testing server - the remote font services don't validate the font and return 403 access denied errors and the like. What workarounds are there for using remote services such as a hosted font service, on a local development server?

  After switchign to Ubuntu 12.10, I have discovered I like the Web App's feature. I do not, however, like the Gwibber application, or Twitter.com (and it's web app) because of lack of features. I do, however, like the Twitter client Hotot, but for some reason, is not working for me right now. I was wondering if there was a way I could make web.tweetdeck.com a Web App, until I can get Hotot working for me? Thank you!

  I'm Quite new to this Ubuntu but recently started using it, 2 days back I had problem with muting the Laptop speaker when headphone jack is plugged, to resove this i searched and somehow tried with the Alsa mixer and got it perfect. • Deleted files still accessible without www in url

  I have deleted all files and all hidden files off my server, there is nothing but log files which cannot be deleted. Ironically, files are accessible when nothing is there. Cache cleared, multiple browsers and computers/devices checked. What is the best way to make the old dirty ones disappear from search results and keep the clean ones? Is blocking profile.php with robots.txt enough?

Are there any caveats you are aware of in existing search engines for this? I believe mapping foo.example.com to example.com/foo to provide an alternative just in case is a good idea for sitemaps, I like to keep things clean.

Say I wanted example.com/folder/page.php to be displayed as foo.example.com/folder/page.php, how would I go about doing this? The foo will never change, and it only needs to be for one page.
