  • Windows equivalent to this Makefile

    - by Sridhar Ratnakumar
    The advantage of writing a Makefile is that "make" is generally assumed to be present on the various Unices (Linux and Mac primarily). Now I have the following Makefile: PYTHON := python all: e installdeps e: virtualenv --distribute --python=${PYTHON} e installdeps: e/bin/python setup.py develop clean: rm -rf e As you can see this Makefile uses simple targets and variable substitution. Can this be achieved on Windows? By that mean - without having to install external tools (like cygwin make); perhaps make.cmd? Typing "make installdeps" for instance, should work both on Unix and Windows.

  • How to update a sharepoint list item via web services using a where clause?

    - by JL
    I would like to update a list item using SharePoint and am stuggling to find 1 decent CAML example. Here is what I want to do, in SQL my query would look something like this update [table] set field='value' where fieldID = id; so this would mean I have 1 item in a list I would like to update 1 field on given the ID of that listitem. I've tried this, but it doesn't work: batchElement.InnerXml = "<Method ID='1' Cmd='Update'>" + "<Field Name='DeliveryStatus'>" + newStatus.ToString() + "</Field>" + "<Where><Eq><FieldRef Name='ID' /><Value Type='Text'>" + id + "</Value></Eq></Where></Method>";

  • Environment variable (NLS_LANG) value altered in Java process?

    - by Ralkie
    This was noticed in some legacy Java application (jre1.4 on HP-UX). Parent process (shell script S1) is starting Java process, which on its own is starting child process (shell script S2). Schematically it's: S1 Java S2. NB! Java application connects to Oracle DB using OCI driver. What is strange here is that process running S1 has environment variable NLS_LANG set to american_america.BLT8MSWIN1257, Java spawns S2 using: Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd); and S2 shows that NLS_LANG is set to american_america.UTF8 (!) This happens on some limited-access environment (production), I was not able to reproduce same problem on linux with jre 1.5. AFAIK, Java process should inherit environment from its parrent (S1) and should pass all environment variables to its child S2 (since single argument exec call was used). However, it does not seem to be the case. Any ideas why NLS_LANG appears to be altered?

  • How to create a Appointment in a Shared Calendar (Sharepoint) with VBA (Macro)?

    - by Diogo K.
    I am actually trying to make an appointment from an excel spreadsheet. I have all the information of the appointment, like subject, body, start and end dates, I actually can create an appointment but only with my personal calendar in outlook. How do I copy/move/create an appointment in a shared calendar in a sharepoint server? I've tried: Dim apOL As Object Dim objFolder As Folder Dim cro As String Set apOL = CreateObject("Outlook.Application") Set oItem = apOL.CreateItem(olApItem) Set MAPISession = apOL.Session ... cro = "stssync://sts/?ver=1.0&type=calendar&cmd=add-folder&base-url=(MY SP SERVER)&list-url=%2FLists%2FCronograma%20%20%2Fcalendar%2Easpx&guid=%7B02717CEF%2D404F%2D482F%2DA131%2D5C3C245CD268%7D&site-name=Testes&list-name=Cronograma%20-" ... Set objFolder = MAPISession.OpenSharedFolder(cro, Null,Null,Null) It gives me the error "Type Mismatch" I'd try to get the objFolder as the Sharepoint Folder then later create an local appointment and then try an Item.Move objFolder Is it the correct way?

  • PHP exec() not executing batch files

    - by Andreas Bonini
    I tried googling for this issue and found many people with the same problem but no solution. $result = exec("C:\\Ruby191\\bin\\lessc.bat less\\$file", $output); Here result is an empty string and output an empty array. Same thing with: $result = exec("cmd /c C:\\Ruby191\\bin\\lessc.bat less\\$file", $output); I am sure the path is correct; I am sure exec() is enabled. I tried exec, shell_exec, system and none work. lessc is less CSS.

  • How do I make PyScript work? Says it cant find python26.dll

    - by Alex
    I installed PyScript to try it out but it just wont start. It only gives me the error: "Error126: Could not open Dll "python26.dll" followed by: "Python could not be properly initialized. We must quit." I think this may have something to do with the PYTHONPATH but since I'm a newbie and dont know what it is or exactly what to put in the PYTHONPATH, after some googling, I ask here. Also, when I tried to install wxPython it was impossible becouse the PYTHONPATH could not be found. I have installed ActivePython 2.6 and the PATH is set so I can access python in cmd.

  • How to launch Glassfish v3 without backgrounding

    - by jnorris
    Glassfish v3 is launched as follows: ./bin/asadmin start-domain <domain-name> This script eventually runs: exec "$JAVA" -jar "$AS_INSTALL_LIB/admin-cli.jar" "$@" admin-cli.jar eventually launches another process, effectively putting itself into the background. I would like to launch glassfish without putting itself in the background for the purpose of monitoring with daemontools (ie: svc). Is this possible? The documentation talks about using inittab here which seems like it would also require a way to launch it without forking or backgrounding so some other process (eg: inittab, evc, etc.) can watch the process id and restart it if it crashes. However, in this inittab example, is it using the same backgrounding cmd line, so I don't know how inittab can possibly respawn the process when it doesn't know what process id to watch. Am I missing something?

  • Why is an anonymous inner class containing nothing generated from this code?

    - by Andrew Westberg
    When run through javac on the cmd line Sun JVM 1.6.0_20, this code produces 6 .class files OuterClass.class OuterClass$1.class OuterClass$InnerClass.class OuterClass$InnerClass2.class OuterClass$InnerClass$InnerInnerClass.class OuterClass$PrivateInnerClass.class When run through JDT in eclipse, it produces only 5 classes. OuterClass.class OuterClass$1.class OuterClass$InnerClass.class OuterClass$InnerClass2.class OuterClass$InnerClass$InnerInnerClass.class OuterClass$PrivateInnerClass.class When decompiled, OuterClass$1.class contains nothing. Where is this extra class coming from and why is it created? package com.test; public class OuterClass { public class InnerClass { public class InnerInnerClass { } } public class InnerClass2 { } //this class should not exist in OuterClass after dummifying private class PrivateInnerClass { private String getString() { return "hello PrivateInnerClass"; } } public String getStringFromPrivateInner() { return new PrivateInnerClass().getString(); } }

  • What is the representation of the mac command key in the terminal?

    - by freethinker
    Like control key is represented by a '^' in the terminal, what is the equivalent for the command key (mac)? I am trying to remap my bash shortcuts using stty For eg stty eof ^D But instead of control, I want to use the command key. EDIT: Okay so the issue I was trying to solve was that I wanted to interchange command and control keys because I work on osx and linux and the different key combinations cause me a lot of pain. So I interchanged the modifier keys using osx preferences. But now all the bash shortcuts like Ctrl+C etc had become equivalent of using the key sequences 'cmd+c' - which is not acceptable. Thankfully iTerm2, supports remapping of modifier keys as well, so for iterm2 I reversed them again which means iTerm2 recognizes command as command and control as control. So problem solved for now.

  • Problem with loading compiled c code in R x64 using dyn.load

    - by Sacha Epskamp
    I recently went from a 32bit laptop to a 64bit desktop (both win7). I just found out that I get an error now when loading dll's using dyn.load. I guess this is a simple mistake and I am overlooking something. For example, I write this simple c function (foo.c): void foo( int *x) {*x = *x + 1;} Then compile it in command prompt: R CMD SHLIB foo.c Then in 32bit R I can use it in R: > setwd("R") > dyn.load("foo.dll") > .C("foo",as.integer(1)) [[1]] [1] 2 but in 64bit R I get: > dyn.load("foo.dll") Error in inDL(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now), ...) : unable to load shared object 'C:/Users/Sacha/Documents/R/foo.dll': LoadLibrary failure: %1 is not a valid Win32 application. nd.

  • How to quickly access documentation in Xcode 4.5.1?

    - by International Frog
    How can I quickly access the documentation for a symbol, method, enum, etc. in Xcode 4.5? alt + click on symbol shows a quick-info. Apple removed the dictionary icon which opened the documentation. I tried all other possible shortcuts of the cmd / alt / shift / click mumbo jumbo dance and none of them open the documentation browser. I suppose there is a hidden trick to quickly open it anyways? Edit: Figured out this new quick-info box has a link to the documentation.

  • Outlook Macro to Search

    - by Corpa Loom
    What's the best way to automate this function? I want to be able to do this in Outlook 2010, (1)select a specific mail account (2)Key in a folder that I am looking for (3)Then have the macro/program fire off an "*" asterisk (4)Then insert the text that I keyed in step one. I am trying to automate the search for a folder hot-keys that already exist. My problem is that I can't type the folder that I am looking for fast enough and all the search programs that I have used are far too slow. The hot-key search is awesome and super fast, I just can't type the folder that I am looking for fast enough. Can this process be automated? And I can't use this code, it is far too slow: http://www.vboffice.net/sample.html?mnu=2&smp=82&cmd=showitem&lang=en

  • Regular Expression issue

    - by Christian Sciberras
    I have the following URL structure which I need to match to and get the particular id from: /group/subgroup/id-name In short, I need to translate a URL like the following: /Blue Products/Dark Blue/5-Blue_Jelly To: /?pagename=Blue Products&model=5 IMPORTANT: I don't need to match group, I already have group. Example code: <?php foreach($cats as $cat) $cmd->rewrite('/\/'.$cat.'\/unused\/(ID)-unused\//','/?pagename='.$cat.'&model=%ID%'); ?> Edit: This is the completed code: if($groups->count()){ $names=array(); foreach($groups->rows as $row) $names[]=preg_quote($row->group); $names=implode('|',$names); $regex='('.$names.')/([^/]+)/([0-9]{1,})-([^/]+)/?$'; CmsHost::cms()->rewrite_url($regex,'index.php?pagename=Products',true); }
