Hello
I have robots.txt that looks like this:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /system/
Disallow: /admin/
Disallow: /index.php
The obvious goal has been to prevent all the ugly URLs from being indexed, as they all begin with "/index.php".
But for some reason all URLs like /my-beautiful-sef-url-123 are listed under Crawl errors in Google Webmaster Tools with "URL restricted by robots.txt". (When I test such URL it yields Allowed for both Googlebot and Googlebot-Mobile.)
Can anyone help please?
I've accidentally performed a quick format on the mobile hard disk thinking that the data is useless. Now my mum says that she needs them back.
What are the tools that I could use to recover the data?
I am trying to print barcodes for a library. I have generated a list of sequential numbers and copied them into Word 2003.
I want Library name, barcode font, barcode number printed in an Avery 5160 label sheet.
I can get it to work by going to tools, letters and mailing, Envelopes and Labels, labels tab and type in what data I want. I don't see how I can pull this data from the list in the word document rather than just what I type.
hi there
When i read something I need to underscore what i like, or what i think is important, and to take notices about that read, near on that current paragraph.
Soo, does anyone know a firefox addon or something else(other browser, any other application) which can provide me such a functionality?
ps: I've tried some research tools as zotero, but it is not what I'm looking for.
So all the tutorials and documentation for the Linux quota system has left me confused. For each filesystem with quotas enabled/on where is the actual quota information stored? Is it filesystem metadata or is it in a file?
Say user foo creates a new file on /home. How does the kernel determine whether user foo is below their hard limit? Does the kernel have to tally up quota information on that filesystem each time or is it in the superblock or somewhere else?
As far as I understand, the kernel consults the aquota.user file for the actual rules, but where is the current quota usage data stored? Can this be viewed with any tools outside repquota and the like? TIA!!
Update:
Thanks for the help. I had already read that mini-HOWTO. I am pretty clear on the usage of the user space tools. What I was unclear on is whether the usage data was ALSO in the file that stored per-user limits and you answered this with a yes.
From what I can tell, rc.sysinit runs quotacheck and quotaon on startup. The quotacheck program analyzes the filesystem, updates the aquota.* files. It then makes use of quota.h and the quotactl() syscall to inform the kernel of quota info.
From this point forward the kernel hashes that information and increments/decrements quota stats as changes occur. Upon shutdown, the init.d/halt script runs the quotaoff command RIGHT before the filesystems are unmounted. The quotaoff command does not appear to update the aquota.* files with the information the kernel has in memory. I say this because the {a,c,m}times for the aquota.user file are only updated upon a reboot of the system or by manual running the quotacheck command. It appears - as far as I can tell - that the kernel just drops it's up-to-date usage data on the floor at shutdown. This information is never used to update the aquota.* files. They are updated during startup by quotacheck(rc.sysinit). Seems silly to me since that updated info had already been collected by the kernel. So...in conclusion I am still not entirely clear on the methods. ;)
I need any tool to automate my daily work in windows with dialogs.
I've google it and found few tools, but i don't know anything about they.

I'm taking over IT responsibilities at a small company. Most of the servers appear to be running various releases of Fedora (file servers, backup servers, oracle servers, etc).
I don't have much experience with Fedora, but I was under the impression its geared for end user desktops/workstations/laptops.
Is Fedora a bad choice for servers?
Many tools raise a common Windows XP file chooser dialog. This dialog offers various views: Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, Details.
By default, I always get the List view, however, I almost always want the Details view.
Is there a way to make Details the default view for this dialog across all my applications?
I use Diigo, but I'm looking for alternatives to it. The main feature I need (that most don't have) is the ability to search on the full page text. Diigo does this, but I was hoping there might be others out there to choose from too. If you know of one, I'd even consider locally installed programs that have this ability, but I do prefer web-based tools for this.
Are there any web search tools that help with statistical research, like correlation?
For instance, if I wanted to see the union of bloggers who drink (or talk about) tea/coffee with the bloggers who experience (or talk about) various diseases?

I would like to run :helptags ~/.vim/doc in vim, but from command line.
The purpose is to run the command occasionally with other commands to keep
my tools up-to-date (probably in a cron job on my development machine.
I looked around man vim, but cannot figure out what option I need to pass.
I think this is a general question for vim, but I'm using Mac and Ubuntu for the development.
I've been asked to find the deprecated rules among the thousands of rules in our Checkpoint firewall.
I could do it by writing a perl program to analyze the log and lists of objects & rules, but i wanted to know if anybody knows of an easier way before reinventing the wheel.
I have access to SmartView Monitor et SmartView Tracker and i wanted to know if anybody knew of a way to achieve my goal with those tools.
Are there any tools for (in order of preference) Mac, Linux, or Windows to extract images per layer set from a PSD file, without using Photoshop? I had a web designer send me a PSD file containing multiple pages, and each page is apparently in a layer set, and GIMP cannot handle these--it can't understand layer groupings.
a command line tool, a rinky-dink Windows tool...anything will work, so long as it's free (preferable) or under $30, does not leave watermarks or anything of the sort, and works well.
The "spoon-feeding problem", as it was recently explained to me, happens when connections to your application server are tied up feeding data across slow network connections to your clients. This makes sense to me and now I understand the importance of putting a highly-concurrent proxy in front of my app servers.
My question is, how did the first person to recognize this problem figure it out? What *nix tools and troubleshooting techniques would help me to recognize this problem if I hadn't had it explained to me?
I am looking for a (Windows XP) utility (preferably a standalone app) that can let me set a hotkey to adjust the gamma (and hopefully other color settings) of the overlay surface.
ATI Tray Tools does not have the ability to bind the overlay color adjustments to the overlay. I’ve asked him about it and he said it was difficult to implement or something (he was kind of vague). The ATI Catalyst drivers do not have a hotkey function for the overlay tab either.
Can anyone help?

I know that you can grow a pool by replacing drives with larger ones or adding new drives or mirrors to the pool. I heard that ZFS did not yet support shrinking pools by removing drives/mirrors. But that has probably been changed.
Which version (if any) released the ability to shrink a pool?
The S.M.A.R.T C5 value of my Samsung HM640JJ Hard Drive (in an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop) is "yellow status = caution"
C5 was 10 yesterday, and it's 21 today.
C4 (Reallocation Event Count) = 0 and 05 (Reallocated Sectors Count) = 0
How can I force the firmware to reallocate them?
I removed the partitions, recreated them again and formatted the entire drive.
I ran chkdsk /r /f
I ran the BIOS disk check utility and other diagnose/repair tools

Hi,
A user deleted his documents from his laptop somehow and has no backup available. How would one go on his way to recover these deleted files. I have zero experience on this issue.
Are there any open source or freeware tools that I can use to attempt a recovery of these files.
Thanks
