  In tprevious versions of Virtual PC, the Host's CD/DVD drives just get assigned drive letters. Nice and neat. But in Windows Virtual PC (Win 7) the drives are all just available but without drive letters. I need to access the Host's CD drive using a drive letter.

  i have a properties file (under rsources folder) in which i'm stocking a variable (key=value), i need to update it when a user insert a new value or update the older one , so can i do it ? i have doubts because it's a web application so it' simply a war deployed in the server so how it is possible to access the .properties file and change it directly from the code . if it's not possible is there another solution ?   I was wondering if it is possible to log into a site with the normal login form (take facebook for example) through a proxy server. Once logged in, can a person disconnect from the proxy and use their normal ISP connection to access the members area on the site without logging in again? Thanks!

The closest I found is SQLDataSources that enumerates all data sources and gives you the DSN name/description. But specifically I would to extract the TNS service name of an Oracle data source.   I want a copy of SQL Server transaction log file for "raw" analysis. What is the safest way to get a copy of that file without shutting down the database and disturbing the existing log/backups/backup schedules and just about everything. FYI, Its a SQL Server 2000 database server and I can see the log file (its about 4GB in size) and I cannot copy it as is; I get the "access denied" error when copying from explorer or command line.
