    - by twal
    I am trying to use log4Net with Asp.net MVC and I cannot get anything to happen with it. i created a config that is in my web project root. Here is that config file. <log4net> <root> <level value="INFO" /> <appender-ref ref="RollingLogFileAppender"/> </root> <appender name="RollingFileAppender" type="log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender"> <file value="C:\DWSApplicationFiles\AppLogs\app.log" /> <appendToFile value="true" /> <rollingStyle value="Size" /> <maxSizeRollBackups value="10" /> <maximumFileSize value="100KB" /> <staticLogFileName value="true" /> <layout type="log4net.Layout.PatternLayout"> <conversionPattern value="%d [%t]%-5p %c [%x] - %m%n" /> </layout> </appender> <appender name="RollingLogFileAppender" type="log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender"> <file value="C:\DWSApplicationFiles\AppLogs\app.log" /> <appendToFile value="false" /> <datePattern value="-dddd" /> <rollingStyle value="Date" /> <layout type="log4net.Layout.PatternLayout"> <conversionPattern value="%d [%t]%-5p %c [%x] - %m%n" /> </layout> </appender> </log4net> Before I am asked, yes the application has permissions to write to the directory. I use have tested this and the application has permissions to this directoy. here is where I am trying to use log4net. public class HomeController : Controller { readonly log4net.ILog log = log4net.LogManager.GetLogger(System.Reflection.MethodBase.GetCurrentMethod().DeclaringType); public ActionResult Index() { log.Error("In Index "); return View(); } } when I run the appliction and go to this controller. Log4net does nothing. it doesn't create the files in that directory or anything. I have enabled internal debugging for lognet and I get no output errors in the console.   • WCF Data Service BeginSaveChanges not saving changes in Silverlight app

    - by Enigmativity
    I'm having a hell of a time getting WCF Data Services to work within Silverlight. I'm using the VS2010 RC. I've struggled with the cross domain issue requiring the use of clientaccesspolicy.xml & crossdomain.xml files in the web server root folder, but I just couldn't get this to work. I've resorted to putting both the Silverlight Web App & the WCF Data Service in the same project to get past this issue, but any advice here would be good. But now that I can actually see my data coming from the database and being displayed in a data grid within Silverlight I thought my troubles were over - but no. I can edit the data and the in-memory entity is changing, but when I call BeginSaveChanges (with the appropriate async EndSaveChangescall) I get no errors, but no data updates in the database. Here's my WCF Data Services code: public class MyDataService : DataService<MyEntities> { public static void InitializeService(DataServiceConfiguration config) { config.SetEntitySetAccessRule("*", EntitySetRights.All); config.SetServiceOperationAccessRule("*", ServiceOperationRights.All); config.DataServiceBehavior.MaxProtocolVersion = DataServiceProtocolVersion.V2; } protected override void OnStartProcessingRequest(ProcessRequestArgs args) { base.OnStartProcessingRequest(args); HttpContext context = HttpContext.Current; HttpCachePolicy c = HttpContext.Current.Response.Cache; c.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.ServerAndPrivate); c.SetExpires(HttpContext.Current.Timestamp.AddSeconds(60)); c.VaryByHeaders["Accept"] = true; c.VaryByHeaders["Accept-Charset"] = true; c.VaryByHeaders["Accept-Encoding"] = true; c.VaryByParams["*"] = true; } } I've pinched the OnStartProcessingRequest code from Scott Hanselman's article Creating an OData API for StackOverflow including XML and JSON in 30 minutes. Here's my code from my Silverlight app: private MyEntities _wcfDataServicesEntities; private CollectionViewSource _customersViewSource; private ObservableCollection<Customer> _customers; private void UserControl_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { if (!System.ComponentModel.DesignerProperties.GetIsInDesignMode(this)) { _wcfDataServicesEntities = new MyEntities(new Uri("http://localhost:7156/MyDataService.svc/")); _customersViewSource = this.Resources["customersViewSource"] as CollectionViewSource; DataServiceQuery<Customer> query = _wcfDataServicesEntities.Customer; query.BeginExecute(result => { _customers = new ObservableCollection<Customer>(); Array.ForEach(query.EndExecute(result).ToArray(), _customers.Add); Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(() => { _customersViewSource.Source = _customers; }); }, null); } } private void button1_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { _wcfDataServicesEntities.BeginSaveChanges(r => { var response = _wcfDataServicesEntities.EndSaveChanges(r); string[] results = new[] { response.BatchStatusCode.ToString(), response.IsBatchResponse.ToString() }; _customers[0].FinAssistCompanyName = String.Join("|", results); }, null); } The response string I get back data binds to my grid OK and shows "-1|False". My intent is to get a proof-of-concept working here and then do the appropriate separation of concerns to turn this into a simple line-of-business app. I've spent hours and hours on this. I'm being driven insane. Any ideas how to get this working?

  • WCF app Deployed on Win7 Machine and get connection refused error

    - by Belliez
    I have created a Sync Framework application based on the following sample from microsoft and deployed it to a new Windows 7 machine for testing. The app runs ok but when I attempt to communicate I get the following error: Could not connect to http://localhost:8000/RelationalSyncContract/SqlSyncService/. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8000. I am wondering if there is something I am missing. This is my first experience using WCF and followed microsoft sample code. I have disabled the firewall and opened port 8000 for both TCP and UDP. Not sure what to look at next. Below is my App.config file if this helps: <?xml version="1.0"?> <configuration> <system.web> <compilation debug="true"/> <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="32768" /> </system.web> <!-- When deploying the service library project, the content of the config file must be added to the host's app.config file. • How to tell Seam to inject a local EJB interface (SLSB) and not the remote EJB interface (SLSB)?

    - by Harshad V
    Hello, I am using Seam with JBoss AS. In my application I have a SLSB which is also declared as a seam component using the @Name annotation. I am trying to inject and use this SLSB in another seam component using the @In annotation. My problem is that sometimes Seam injects the local interface (then the code runs fine) and sometimes seam injects the remote interface (then there is an error in execution of the code). I have tried doing all the things specified on this link: http://docs.jboss.org/seam/2.2.0.GA/reference/en-US/html/configuration.html#config.integration.ejb.container The SeamInterceptor is configured, I have specified the jndi pattern in components.xml file ( < core:init debug="true" jndi-pattern="earName/#{ejbName}/local"/ ), I have also tried using the @JndiName("earName/ejbName/local") annotation for every SLSB, I have tried setting this property ( org.jboss.seam.core.init.jndiPattern=earName/#{ejbName}/local ) in the seam.properties file. I have also tried putting the text below in web.xml file <context-param> <param-name>org.jboss.seam.core.init.jndiPattern</param-name> <param-value>earName/#{ejbName}/local</param-value> </context-param> Even after doing all the above mentioned things, the seam still injects the remote interface sometimes. Am I missing something here? Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue and tell seam to always inject the local interface? • Ninject 3.0 MVC kernel.bind error Auto Registration

    - by user295734
    Getting and error on kernel.Bind(scanner = ... "scanner" has the little error line under it in VS 2010. Cannot convert lambda expression to type 'System.Type[]' because it is not a delegate type Tyring to Auto Register like the old kernel.scan in 2.0. I can not figure out what i am doing wrong. • ELMAH - Filtering 404 Errors

    - by Nathan Taylor
    I am attempting to configure ELMAH to filter 404 errors and I am running into difficulties with the XML-provided filter rules in my Web.config file. I followed the tutorial here and here and added an <is-type binding="BaseException" type="System.IO.FileNotFoundException" /> declaration under my <test><or>... declaration, but that completely failed. When I tested it locally I stuck a breakpoint in protected void ErrorLog_Filtering() {} of the Global.asax found that the System.Web.HttpException that gets fired by ASP.NET for a 404 doesn't have a base type of System.IO.FileNotFound, but rather it is simply a System.Web.HttpException. Next I decided to try a <regex binding="BaseException.Message" pattern="The file '/[^']+' does not exist" /> in the hopes that any exception matching the pattern "The file '/foo.ext' does not exist" would get filtered, but that too having no effect. As a last resort I tried <is-type binding="BaseException" type="System.Exception" />, and even that is entirely disregarded. I'm inclined to think there's a configuration error with ELMAH, but I fail to see any. Am I missing something blatantly obvious? Here's the relevant stuff from my web.config: <configuration> <configSections> <sectionGroup name="elmah"> <section name="security" requirePermission="false" type="Elmah.SecuritySectionHandler, Elmah"/> <section name="errorLog" requirePermission="false" type="Elmah.ErrorLogSectionHandler, Elmah"/> <section name="errorMail" requirePermission="false" type="Elmah.ErrorMailSectionHandler, Elmah"/> <section name="errorFilter" requirePermission="false" type="Elmah.ErrorFilterSectionHandler, Elmah" /> </sectionGroup> </configSections> <elmah> <errorFilter> <test> <or> <equal binding="HttpStatusCode" value="404" type="Int32" /> <regex binding="BaseException.Message" pattern="The file '/[^']+' does not exist" /> </or> </test> </errorFilter> <errorLog type="Elmah.XmlFileErrorLog, Elmah" logPath="~/App_Data/logs/elmah" /> </elmah> <system.web> <httpModules> <add name="ErrorFilter" type="Elmah.ErrorFilterModule, Elmah"/> <add name="ErrorLog" type="Elmah.ErrorLogModule, Elmah"/> </httpModules> </system.web> <system.webServer> <modules> <add name="ErrorFilter" type="Elmah.ErrorFilterModule, Elmah"/> <add name="ErrorLog" type="Elmah.ErrorLogModule, Elmah" /> </modules> </system.webServer> </configuration>

  • VS2010 Assembly Load Error

    - by Nate
    I am getting the following error when I try to build an ASP.NET 4 project in Visual Studio 2010: "Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Dev\project\trunk\bin\Elmah.dll' or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515)". I have verified that the dll does, in fact, exist, and is getting copied to the bin folder correctly. I have also tried removing and then re-adding the reference to the project. The build only fails when I switch the Solution Configuration to "Release". It does not fail when the Solution Configuration is set to "Debug". The only difference between the two configurations (that I know of) is shown in the following Web.config transform, Web.Release.config: <?xml version="1.0"?> <configuration xmlns:xdt="http://schemas.microsoft.com/XML-Document-Transform"> <connectionStrings> <add name="SqlServer" connectionString="" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" xdt:Transform="SetAttributes" xdt:Locator="Match(name)"/> </connectionStrings> <system.web> <compilation xdt:Transform="RemoveAttributes(debug)" /> <customErrors mode="On" xdt:Transform="Replace"> <error statusCode="404" redirect="lost.htm" /> <error statusCode="500" redirect="uhoh.htm" /> </customErrors> </system.web> </configuration> I have tried using Fusion Log Viewer to track down the assembly binding issue, but it looks like it is finding and loading the assembly correctly. Here is the log: *** Assembly Binder Log Entry (6/8/2010 @ 10:01:54 AM) *** The operation was successful. Bind result: hr = 0x0. The operation completed successfully. • FBML is not rendered in Facebook App in iframe - please help

    - by Jakob
    I'm developing an Facebook Application in PHP. It's loaded as an iframe and not as FBML. The normal interaction with Facebook works. For example the following code gives the username: $facebook = new Facebook($config->appapikey, $config->appsecret); $user_id = $facebook->require_login($required_permissions = 'email'); echo $user->name; Where $user is my class in which the user-details are loaded from facebook. My document begins the following way: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"> <head><title>Appname</title> </head> <body> <script src="http://static.ak.connect.facebook.com/js/api_lib/v0.4/FeatureLoader.js.php/de_DE" type="text/javascript"></script> And ends likes this: <script type="text/javascript"> FB_RequireFeatures(['XFBML','CanvasUtil'], function(){ FB.init("<?php echo $config->appapikey; ?>", "/app/xd_receiver.htm"); FB.CanvasClient.startTimerToSizeToContent(); }); </script> </body> </html> Also the file xd_receiver.htm is loaded as I can see in Firebug. But my problem is that for example the request-form is not loaded. My code: <fb:serverFbml> <script type="text/fbml"> <fb:fbml> <fb:request-form method="post" action="<?php echo $config->site; ?>index.php" type="appname" invite="true" target="_top" content="content"> <fb:multi-friend-selector actiontext="text" rows="3" showborder="true" target="_top"/> </fb:request-form> </fb:fbml> </script> </fb:serverFbml> I can see the code with Firebug but the form ist not displayed by Facebook. 2 or 3 weeks ago it was displayed but in this time I had the tags </fb:fbml> </script> </fb:serverFbml> arround my complete text in the body. 2 weeks ago I had the the problem that nothing any more was displayed. After I removed the tags my app is displayed but not the form. I am searchign the web vor 1 week now and read many Threads about FBML and XFBML in Facebook but nothing worked for me. So thank you in advance for help.

  • Unity The parameter host could not be resolved when attempting to call constructor

    - by Terrance
    When I attempt to instantiate my instance of the base class I get the error: a ResolutionFailedException with roughly the following error "The parameter host could not be resolved when attempting to call constructor" I'm currently not using an Interface for the base type and my instance of the class is inheriting the base type class. I'm new to Unity and DI so I'm thinking its something I forgot possibly. ExeConfigurationFileMap map = new ExeConfigurationFileMap(); map.ExeConfigFilename = "Unity.Config"; Configuration config = ConfigurationManager.OpenMappedExeConfiguration(map, ConfigurationUserLevel.None); UnityConfigurationSection section = (UnityConfigurationSection)config.GetSection("unity"); IUnityContainer container = new UnityContainer(); section.Containers.Default.Configure(container); //Throws exception here on this BaseCalculatorServer server = container.Resolve<BaseCalculatorServer>(); and the Unity.Config file <container> <types> <type name ="CalculatorServer" type="Calculator.Logic.BaseCalculatorServer, Calculator.Logic" mapTo="Calculator.Logic.CalculateApi, Calculator.Logic"/> </types> </container> </containers> The Base class using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Runtime.Serialization; using System.ServiceModel; using System.ServiceModel.Transactions; using Microsoft.Practices.Unity; using Calculator.Logic; namespace Calculator.Logic { public class BaseCalculatorServer : IDisposable { public BaseCalculatorServer(){} public CalculateDelegate Calculate { get; set; } public CalculationHistoryDelegate CalculationHistory { get; set; } /// <summary> /// Performs application-defined tasks associated with freeing, releasing, or resetting unmanaged resources. /// </summary> public void Dispose() { this.Dispose(); } } } The Implementation using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using Calculator.Logic; using System.ServiceModel; using System.ServiceModel.Configuration; using Microsoft.Practices.Unity; namespace Calculator.Logic { public class CalculateApi:BaseCalculatorServer { public CalculateApi(ServiceHost host) { host.Open(); Console.WriteLine("Press Enter To Exit"); Console.ReadLine(); host.Close(); } public CalculateDelegate Calculate { get; set; } public CalculationHistoryDelegate CalculationHistory { get; set; } } } Yes both base class and implementation are in the same Namespace and thats something design wise that will change once I get this working. Oh and a more detailed error Resolution of the dependency failed, type = "Calculator.Logic.BaseCalculatorServer", name = "". Exception message is: The current build operation (build key Build Key[Calculator.Logic.BaseCalculatorServer, null]) failed: The value for the property "Calculate" could not be resolved. • Maven/Spring/Java: ClassNotFoundException - but I know class is there...

    - by wuntee
    I have 2 maven projects set up like this: -com.wuntee.rsaAuthenticationManager (jar) -com.wuntee.taac (pom) --taac-backend-gui (jar) --taac-web (war) And 'com.wuntee.rsaAuthenticationManager' is a dep in 'taac-backend-gui'. When running a test case in taac-backend-gui, everything executes fine, but when trying to start the taac-web, I get the following ClassNotFoundException - the library that contains the class 'weblogic.security.SSL.TrustManager' is also in my local maven repository, and set as a dependency of com.wuntee.rsaAuthenticationManager. Does anyone know why I would be getting this error? I have also attempted to directly add the library containing TrustManager to the taac-web project, and still get the same Exception. Any ideas? • 'normal' SVC versus 'Silverlight' SVC (WCF)

    - by Michel
    Hi, i'm trying to call a WCF service from my Silverlight 3 app. But... when trying to create a 'silverlight enabled wcf service' in my web project, my VS2008 crashes during creating the item (i think while editing the web.config). So i thought: let's create a 'normal' wcf service, and manually edit it to be a 'silverlight enabled webservice'. So i wondered what the differences are, and second: why is there a difference between a service called from a silverlight app and a non-silverlight app? This is what i have now for the binding (i have a service without an Interface contract, just a direct class exposed, to begin with): <system.serviceModel> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="RadControlsSilverlightApp1.Web.GetNewDataBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" /> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="false" /> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> <bindings> <customBinding> <binding name="customBinding0"> <binaryMessageEncoding /> <httpTransport /> </binding> </customBinding> </bindings> <serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true" /> <services> <service behaviorConfiguration="RadControlsSilverlightApp1.Web.GetNewDataBehavior" name="RadControlsSilverlightApp1.Web.GetNewData"> <endpoint address="" binding="customBinding" bindingConfiguration="customBinding0" contract="RadControlsSilverlightApp1.Web.GetNewData" /> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> </service> </services> </system.serviceModel> This one doesn't work because when i add a reference to it from the silverlight app i get these messages: Warning 2 Custom tool warning: Cannot import wsdl:portType Detail: An exception was thrown while running a WSDL import extension: System.ServiceModel.Description.DataContractSerializerMessageContractImporter Error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. • General website publishing questions involving domain forwarding issue

    - by Gorgeousyousuf
    Even though I have been having a certain level of knowledge and experience about web development I have never interested in obtaining a domain and publishing a website from my own server. Since today I have been struggling with getting my own domain and configuring it utilizing web sources. I started with learning the outline of web publishing process including web server installation, deploying a website for testing purpose,router port forwarding, getting a domain and forwarding domain to my router which will also forward http requests to my web server I am confused about some parts and so far could not get the web site accessed from outside of the network. All I try to do is just for learning purpose so I do not pay much attention to security issues for now. I have Server 2008 and IIS 7.5 installed. I use a laptop and have access to the modem over wireless and my modem is Zoom x6 5590. Well I will continue explaining what I have done so far and what I think will be after each action I did, I have successfully had access to my website on any local computer entering the internal ip address and port pair of the host machine in a browser. Next, I forwarded port 80 of my host machine creating a virtual server like 10.0.0.x(internal ip(static) of the host) - tcp - start port : 80 - end port : 80 in router options. Now I suppose every request that will come to the public Ip on port 80 will be forwarded to my host machine(10.0.0.x) over port 80. So If everyhing went as desired, the website listening on port 80 will accept the request and process the issue and finally respond bla bla bla... I suppose to access my website from outside of the network by entering http://MyPublicIp:80 in a browser but I couldn't accomplish this task by now despite using godady's domain forwarding tool,I see a small view of my website when I click the "preview" button that checks whether the address(http://publicip/Index.aspx) I entered where my domain will be forwarded is available or not. I am sure that configuring domain does not play a role in solving such a problem since using public ip and port matching does not help. So here is the first question, What is the fact that I face this problem? After that, I have couple of question regarding domain forwarding using godaddy tool. Can I forward my domain to a any port for example port 8080 other than default http port 80? Additionally, can I use a sub-domain to forward to a different port of the host? What I want to design is if the client enters www.mydomain.com, website1 will respond over a specified port and after when a client enters info.mydomain.com, another website which listens on different port will respond. I tried to add a sub-domain and forward it to a address like http://www.mydomain.com:8080/Index.aspx with no success. Can I really do that? Finally, what if I have a ftp site listening on the default port 21 and I create a domain like ftp.mydomain.com that will forward to that ftp site address. Is it possible to use sub-domains for ftp site access? I know I am more than confused but no matter whatever and however you reply to me, you will help me have a more clear view on this subject. Thank you very much from now.

  • Issue with Silverlight interop with JBoss WebService

    - by Hadi Eskandari
    I have a simple JAXWS webservice deployed in JBoss. It runs fine with a java client but I'm trying to connect using a Silverlight 3.0 application. I've changed the webservice to use Soap 1.1: @BindingType(value = "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/http") public class UserSessionBean implements UserSessionRemote { ... } I'm using BasicHttpBinding on the Silverlight client. There are two issues: 1- When I connect from VisualStudio (2008 and 2010) to create the webservice proxies, the following exception is thrown, but the proxy is generated successfully. This also happens when I try to update the existing web service reference (but it also updates fine). com.sun.xml.ws.server.UnsupportedMediaException: Unsupported Content-Type: application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8 Supported ones are: [text/xml] at com.sun.xml.ws.encoding.StreamSOAPCodec.decode(StreamSOAPCodec.java:291) at com.sun.xml.ws.encoding.StreamSOAPCodec.decode(StreamSOAPCodec.java:128) at com.sun.xml.ws.encoding.SOAPBindingCodec.decode(SOAPBindingCodec.java:287) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.decodePacket(HttpAdapter.java:276) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.access$500(HttpAdapter.java:93) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter$HttpToolkit.handle(HttpAdapter.java:432) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.handle(HttpAdapter.java:244) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.servlet.ServletAdapter.handle(ServletAdapter.java:135) at org.jboss.wsf.stack.metro.RequestHandlerImpl.doPost(RequestHandlerImpl.java:225) at org.jboss.wsf.stack.metro.RequestHandlerImpl.handleHttpRequest(RequestHandlerImpl.java:82) at org.jboss.wsf.common.servlet.AbstractEndpointServlet.service(AbstractEndpointServlet.java:85) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:803) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:290) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:206) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.filters.ReplyHeaderFilter.doFilter(ReplyHeaderFilter.java:96) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:235) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilterChain.java:206) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke(StandardWrapperValve.java:230) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContextValve.invoke(StandardContextValve.java:175) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.security.SecurityAssociationValve.invoke(SecurityAssociationValve.java:182) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.security.JaccContextValve.invoke(JaccContextValve.java:84) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.invoke(StandardHostValve.java:127) at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorReportValve.invoke(ErrorReportValve.java:102) at org.jboss.web.tomcat.service.jca.CachedConnectionValve.invoke(CachedConnectionValve.java:157) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngineValve.invoke(StandardEngineValve.java:109) at org.apache.catalina.connector.CoyoteAdapter.service(CoyoteAdapter.java:262) at org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Processor.process(Http11Processor.java:844) at org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol$Http11ConnectionHandler.process(Http11Protocol.java:583) at org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint$Worker.run(JIoEndpoint.java:446) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619) 2- When I use the proxy to fetch some data from the webservice (even methods with primitive types), I get the following error on Silverlight client: "An error occurred while trying to make a request to URI 'http://localhost:9090/admintool/UserSessionEJB'. This could be due to attempting to access a service in a cross-domain way without a proper cross-domain policy in place, or a policy that is unsuitable for SOAP services. You may need to contact the owner of the service to publish a cross-domain policy file and to ensure it allows SOAP-related HTTP headers to be sent. This error may also be caused by using internal types in the web service proxy without using the InternalsVisibleToAttribute attribute. Please see the inner exception for more details." Setting a breakpoint on my java code, I can see that it is not hit when I run the silverlight client, so it is probably a cross domain issue, but I'm not sure how to handle it (I've already created a crossdomain.xml file and put it beside my HTML page hosting the silverlight client). I appreciate any help!

  • jaas authentication using jetty and gwt

    - by dubreakkk
    Hello, I am trying to use JAAS to authenticate my users. My project is in GWT v2, which runs jetty. I use eclipse for development. From http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/issues/detail?id=4462 I found out that jetty doesn't like any realm definitions in web.xml, so I moved them to jetty-web.xml. I keep getting ClassNotFound exceptions so I followed the advice here: communitymapbuilder.org/display/JETTY/Problems+with+JAAS+in+Jetty+6.0.0 However, I am still getting ClassNotFoundExceptionsHere in my jetty-web.xml file. How do I configure jetty to work jaas in GWT projects? • "interface not found" in WCF Moniker without registration for excel

    - by tbischel
    I'm trying to connect excel to a WCF service, but I can't seem to get even a trivial case to work... I get an Invalid Syntax error when I try and create the proxy in excel. I've attached the visual studio debugger to excel, and get that the real error is "interface not found". I know the service works because the test client created by visual studio is ok... so the problem is in the VBA moniker string. I'm hoping to find one of two things: 1) a correction to my moniker string that will make this work, or 2) an existing sample project to download that has the source for both the host and client that does work. Here is the code for my VBA client: Dim addr As String addr = "service:mexAddress=net.tcp://localhost:7891/Test/WcfService1/Service1/mex, " addr = addr + "address=net.tcp://localhost:7891/Test/WcfService1/Service1/, " addr = addr + "contract=IService1, contractNamespace=http://tempuri.org, " addr = addr + "binding=NetTcpBinding_IService1, bindingNamespace=""http://tempuri.org""" MsgBox (addr) Dim service1 As Object Set service1 = GetObject(addr) MsgBox service1.Test(12) I have the following service: [ServiceContract] public interface IService1 { [OperationContract] string GetData(int value); } public class Service1 : IService1 { public string GetData(int value) { return string.Format("You entered: {0}", value); } } It has the following config file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.web> <compilation debug="true" /> </system.web> <!-- When deploying the service library project, the content of the config file must be added to the host's app.config file. System.Configuration does not support config files for libraries. --> <system.serviceModel> <services> <service behaviorConfiguration="WcfService1.Service1Behavior" name="WcfService1.Service1"> <endpoint address="" binding="netTcpBinding" bindingConfiguration="" contract="WcfService1.IService1"> <identity> <dns value="localhost" /> </identity> </endpoint> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexTcpBinding" bindingConfiguration="" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="net.tcp://localhost:7891/Test/WcfService1/Service1/" /> </baseAddresses> </host> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WcfService1.Service1Behavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="false" /> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="false" /> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> </configuration>
