    Is it possible to control the placement of a generated control in asp .net 2.0 (c#)? So for example in my page_load I create a new Panel() and then do Form.Controls.Add(pnl). However I'm finding it renders right at the end of the form. I would like it rendering as the first element in the form.

    I have a form on my web page, it allows to submit many queries to my website, every query is on a separate line in TextArea. Because waiting for all queries to complete is too long I would like to update the web page after every query completes - send result of one query to a web browser, new result should be appended to old results that are already on the web page. How to do this in ASP.NET MVC 2? I will be grateful for helpful responses.

    I would like to display the contents of a DataTable, divided into several groups depending on the value of one of the columns. So, if I have a DataTable (from SQL query) with: GroupID Name Description 1 foo bar 1 one two 2 some thing I would like to place all records containing GroupID 1 in one div, all records with GroupID 2 in another div, and so on. It's DataNavigateUrlFormatString property is set to View.aspx?id={0}&isTechnical={1} Select command of appropriate SqlDataSource returns columns of type INT and BIT (from SQL Server 2008). So displayed string becomes something like View.aspx?id=1&isTechnical=1. But I want to display isTechnical=true|False, i.e. Convert.ToBoolean(row["isTechnical"]).ToString().ToLowerInvariant(). How to implement such conversion in page markup?

  • Use user control in the same folder as the page.

    I get this message at runtime of ASP.NET 2 page : The page 'MyFolder/blabla.aspx' cannot use the user control 'MyFolder/MyControl.ascx', because it is registered in web.config and lives in the same directory as the page. Of course I can separate them to 2 different folders and thus solve the problem, but the question is : WTF !?!?! Why I can't put them in the same folder ?! Why can't they all .. get along !?! :) Thanks
