• java: how can I create a dynamic array without forcing the type of the values?

  Hiya. I need to create a dynamic array in Java, but the values type differ from String to Int to float. how can I create a dynamic list that I don't need to give it in advanced the type of the values? The keys just need to be ascending numbers (1,2,3,4 or 0,1,2,3,4) I checked ArrayList but it seems that I have to give it a fixed type for the values. thanks!

• Resuming MySQL indexing

  Hello All, I have been building index on a 200 million row table for almost 14 hours. Due to resource over-consumption on the machine (because of a separate incident), the machine cashed. Clearly, I want to avoid another 14 hours to re-construct the index. Is there a way that I can resume the construction of index from the point (or slightly back) where the machine crashed?   Hi, i have a pictures table : pictures(articleid,pictureurl) And an articles table : articles(id,title,category) So, briefly, every article has a picture, and i link pictures with article using articleid column. now i want to select 5 pictures of articles in politic category. i think that can be done using IN but i can't figure out how to do it. • Zend Framework question (again) Do images, mp3s, scripts, etc, al just go in public folder?

  I guess these are all questions that everyone must just know, because I'm not seeing this in the documentation :-D I understand that the public folder is the folder that the world has access to. I know it is the case with the css folder, but in migrating a traditional php website over, will my /images folder, /js folder /mp3s, etc Will those all just also be public folders that will be accessed via the layout or view.phtml pages? I have methods that return a value when passed an an object as parameter, such as: <%= average_rainfall(@location) % I'd like to use the exact same methods as a nested resource to call via jQuery/Ajax, like so: .load('/location/8/average_rainfall') I understand how to define the route, but how do I tell my method to 'find' /location/8 and use that as it's parameter instead of @location as expected?
