  • Browser compatibility jQuery UI dialog

    I have a jQuery Dialog box on one of my pages. One of the buttons in the dialog boxes triggers a JavaScript prompt OnClick. Everything seems OK with the lastest versions of Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, but some users are reporting weird behavior. Are there any known browser compatibility errors with jQuery UI dialog boxes?

  • my layout breaks in IE7 and javascript page reloads make the screen blink

    My layout breaks if I change the window size in IE7/AOL, so I added a simple javascript function that fires on window.onresize, but no matter how I change the location I get problems. It was suggested I post a link and here it is: link text I already use PHP to detect browser and include an IE7-only inline stylesheet (and for mobile browsers), and my page looks nearly identical to the way it does in FF, Opera, Chrome, Safari and IE8, but when I change the window size, some things go wonky, and come back into line if you refresh. Any advice is welcome :)

    I am trying to download a data file from a local network share to an iPhone device. I have placed the file on a computer on the network and can view through browsers such as Chrome or Mozilla, from any computer on the local network. However, Safari on a Mac and the iPhone do not find the file! An example of the URL I use is 'file://computer/SharedDocs/file.csv'. Why do Safari and the iPhone fail to find the file?

  • Jquery slider going the wrong way

    Im using a jquery slider and having an issue with what direction it scrolls on click. It seems to screw up after clicking the right arrow then left, but will scroll left if clicked first, weird. Is this a bug or am I missing something here? PS- Im using Chrome (Mac) but seems to behave the same with Firefox and Safari See example http://www.warface.co.uk/clients/warface.co.uk/blog/ Please click the red central arrow to reveal the slider.   • Apache authentication: Redirect on failure, reliably?

    I've set my ErrorDocument 401 to point to my website's account creation page, but not all browsers seem to honor this redirect (Safari). Also, other browsers (Firefox, Chrome) never quit asking for the password and show the ErrorDocument. This causes a good number of users to give up trying after many password attempts without seeing the account creation page. Is there any way to make the redirect more reliable, without trashing basic authentication altogether?

  • jquery not working in internet explorer using mvc

    i have a group of radio buttons that are generated on the fly from the db into a partial control then rendered on the page as html and they all have the same name now in firefox and chrome the following code works fine $(".FlightSelectedRadio").live('click', function() { alert("after flight select"); $("#ToisGarantueedBid").attr("disabled", false); }); however in ie it doesnt work on the first select of a radio but only fires if u select something else ? any ideas wat the problem is ?

    I have a regular input box (no onchange attribute). <input type="text" id="bar" name="bar" /> For some reason, IE6+ does returns [object], while FF and Chrome returns null. if ((elem.getAttributeNode('onchange')) != null) elem.onchange(); I did also try as: if (typeof(elem.onchange) !== 'undefined') elem.onchange(); What would be the proper cross-browser way to check if the element has the attribute? I tried ShellExecute(self.WindowHandle,'open','www.google.com',nil,nil, SW_HIDE); and I get my chrome browser open but not hidden, and it opens a tab not a new window, also tried with TStartupInfo with the same results. Is there another way to achieve this?

The error I get is: access denied on http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v1/yL/r/X3oFUDWWu05.js When I load this URL in Chrome, FF, and IE 8, everything works fine. But under IE9 I have the following error: 'window is undefined' Error : 800A1391 Execution Error Microsoft JScript This is a Facebook script that I have no control over.     Hi all, I have a strange bug. I create a qx.ui.table.Table and if not all specified columns fit into window (horizontal scroll appear) my browsers (firefox 3.5.6 and chrome 5.0.344) hangs. If i just set width for window large (e.g. from 600px to 800px) - all works fine. May be I'm doing something wrong? Or how can I fix/avoid this 'strange' behaviour?
