  If I have a static class with a static field such as: private static myField = new myObject(); I then have a bunch of static methods that use myField. Is myField re-instantiated for each method call? My guess is that it's instantiated the first time a method is called that uses it and it remains in memory until the GC clears it up?   I have a scores table that has two fields: user_id score I'm fetching specific rows that match a list of user_id's. How can I determine a rank for each row relative to the total number of rows, based on score? The rows in the result set are not necessarily sequential (the scores will vary widely from one row to the next). I'm not sure if this matters, but user_id is a unique field.

• How to find all records that share the same field value as some other record?

  I need to extract all records which have a field which does NOT have a unique value. I can't figure out an elegant way to do it - using annotation or some other way. I see a "value_annotate" method to the object manager but it's unclear if it's at all related. • cck remote file (image) field - I want to keep the cached copy of the image when the node is deleted

It works with a known issue: images are reloaded on every edit http://drupal.org/node/395256 And as i do tests with lots of nodes and delete them afterwards, the images cached in filesystem become deleted too.
