  • Javascript update before page loads in ASP.NET

    Hello, I'm trying to update values from a xml file into textboxes. I have this javascript being called in the Page_Load event this.Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "Script", sb.ToString(), true); I click the continue button which does a post back but the values are not updated until I refresh the page again which makes me think the js isn't being run until after the page is returned. I'm wondering how to have the values updated when the page is refreshed after the button postback. thanks

    hi everybody, I have a page with a div, inside this div I load a page with a form with a select, I can get selected option by post() function but, how can I get at the same time selected option and full data option? I've tried to get full data with a post() in a click() function positioned directly on form page but it does not work, can I post 2 times on the same page(one for get selected option and one for full data option)? thanks in advance ciao, h.

    I have to support IE6 and I calculate rendering time by creating a timestamp in javascript at the beginning of the page and doing the difference when document.ready is fired in jQuery. If I do 3 pages load, the rendering times in milliseconds can look like this : page 1 : 735, 2672, 734 page 2 : 3063, 1516, 3375 page 3 : 8281, 2531, 3703 Why is that? How can I have more consistency?

    I'm trying to create a WCHAR: LONG bufferSize = foo.bar() + 1; WCHAR wszBaz[bufferSize]; The compiler issues an error: error C2057: expected constant expression error C2466: cannot allocate an array of constant size 0 error C2133: 'wszBaz' unknown size What am I doing wrong? UPDATE: I added const but it still gives the same error: const LONG bufferSize = foo.bar() + 1; WCHAR wszBaz[bufferSize];

    This is a statement referring to problem caused by page fault:(from Silberschatz 7th ed P-310 last para) 'We cant simply restart instructions when instruction modifies several different location Ex:when a instruction moves 256 bytes from source to dest and either src or dest straddles on page boundary , then,after a partial move, if a page fault occurs, 'we can't simply restart the instructions' My question is Why not? Simply restart the instruction again do the same copy after page is in. Is there any problem in it?

    In C++ is there a predefined library function that will return the size of RAM currently available on a computer a program is being run on, at run-time? For instance, if an object is 4bytes, then can we divide the available virtual memory by 4 bytes to give an estimate of how many more objects could be stored by the program safely?     I found that my map tasks is currently inefficient when parsing one particular set of files (total 2 TB). I'd like to change the block size of files in the Hadoop dfs (from 64MB to 128 MB). I can't find how to do it in the documentation for only one set of files and not the entire cluster, does anyone know the command that would change the block size when I upload it (ie copy from local to the dfs)? I think I remember reading something about including a page with a CONSTANT. If the CONSTANT is not present the page has been accessed directly. I think Wordpress also do it.
