• direct file download protection

  Hi, I have a folder for downloads on my server, i want to prevent direct access to that folder so i am makin it pass-protected with htaccess and i will push download with a php script. But i have some questions regarding mkdir and file_exists Do mkdir and file_exists works good for pass-protected folders ? and would i get any error while uploading file to that folder ? AND is this a good way of preventing direct access ? thanks

  I'm turning off the monitor using SendMessage(HWND_BROUADCART, WM_SYSCOMMAND, SC_MONITORRPOWER, 2). That works, but the monitor turns back on when someone touches the keyboard or mouse. I tried to get rid of this using the DevicePowerSetDeviceState function with DEVICEPOWER_CLEAR_WAKEENABLED for the keyboard and mouse: it returns no error, but has no effect either. How can I prevent the monitor from powering back on in Vista and Windows7?

• My.Settings not saving after install

  My application is not saving users settings after I install it. When I test my app in debug or release mode it works fine. However after compiling, linking and installing the My.Settings.Save() does not seem to be working. I can manually change a setting in the config file and the app runs accordingly.   good day we are developing game for android and have some trouble with resource loading on high dpi devices. our resources are located in res/drawable directory on a standart dpi device the game work properly, but on hdpi (tested on HTC Desire) all resources which located in res/drawable-hdpi load are loaded correctly, but the resources which miss in drawable-hdpi directory but present in res/drawable are ignored but everything works fine on the virtual device with hdpi. does anybody encounter this problem and know how to solve it?

• Command prompt in debug mode for Eclipse? (OpenCV + Eclipse + Win7)

  I am a beginner for Eclipse. I now have Eclipse C/C++ IDE with OpenCV library running on Windows 7. So far it works after spending hours trying to get it running. But then I realize that Eclipse does not pop up a command prompt as VS2010 does while debugging. And moreover Eclipse's debug mode is just stuck in there and refuse to output anything. But if the code doesn't involve the OpenCV things it works again. Below is the code I use for testing. It captures images from webcam and output it to the screen. The infinite loop (until you press 'q') makes sure it constantly grabs new inputs from the camera. I browsed through the workspace and run the exe just compiled and it worked flawlessly. So I don't think there's anything wrong in the code (it's an example code anyway In brief, can I just pop up a command prompt window in debug mode? • I need to programmatically remove a batch of unique constraints that I don't know the names of.

  I maintain a product that is installed at multiple locations which as been haphazardly upgraded. Unique constraints were added to a number of tables, but I have no idea what the names are at any particular instance. What I do know is the table/columnname pair that has the unique constraints and I would like to write a script to delete any unique constraint on these column/table combinations. This is MSSQL 2000 and later. Something that works on 2000/2005/2008 would be best!

  Activerecord seems to be peeking at my sql and getting it wrong. I am finding that this: sql = " select etn.* from edittree_name etn where id = #{id}" Name.find_by_sql(sql) works, but this: sql = " with pp as ( select * from dual) select etn.* from edittree_name etn where id = #{id}" Name.find_by_sql(sql) Gives me a "undefined method `each' for 1:Fixnum".   I'm making a new php page and I get the error Fatal error: Call to undefined function phpinclude_once() in /home8/nuventio/public_html/marketing/pb2/dashboard.php on line 1 I'm not sure why I'm getting this error, I've done previous pages the same way as this with no problems. This is the line in question: <?php include_once("../utils.php"); ?> After that it just goes into regular HTML code. It works fine without that line.
