  • Asp.net Custom user control button. How to stop multiple clicks by user.

    - by Laurence Burke
I am trying to modify an open source Forum called YetAnotherForum.net in the project they have a custom user control called Yaf:ThemeButton. Now its rendered as an anchor with an onclick method in this code ThemeButton.cs using System; using System.Web.UI; using System.Web.UI.WebControls; namespace YAF.Controls { /// <summary> /// The theme button. /// </summary> public class ThemeButton : BaseControl, IPostBackEventHandler { /// <summary> /// The _click event. /// </summary> protected static object _clickEvent = new object(); /// <summary> /// The _command event. /// </summary> protected static object _commandEvent = new object(); /// <summary> /// The _attribute collection. /// </summary> protected AttributeCollection _attributeCollection; /// <summary> /// The _localized label. /// </summary> protected LocalizedLabel _localizedLabel = new LocalizedLabel(); /// <summary> /// The _theme image. /// </summary> protected ThemeImage _themeImage = new ThemeImage(); /// <summary> /// Initializes a new instance of the <see cref="ThemeButton"/> class. /// </summary> public ThemeButton() : base() { Load += new EventHandler(ThemeButton_Load); this._attributeCollection = new AttributeCollection(ViewState); } /// <summary> /// ThemePage for the optional button image /// </summary> public string ImageThemePage { get { return this._themeImage.ThemePage; } set { this._themeImage.ThemePage = value; } } /// <summary> /// ThemeTag for the optional button image /// </summary> public string ImageThemeTag { get { return this._themeImage.ThemeTag; } set { this._themeImage.ThemeTag = value; } } /// <summary> /// Localized Page for the optional button text /// </summary> public string TextLocalizedPage { get { return this._localizedLabel.LocalizedPage; } set { this._localizedLabel.LocalizedPage = value; } } /// <summary> /// Localized Tag for the optional button text /// </summary> public string TextLocalizedTag { get { return this._localizedLabel.LocalizedTag; } set { this._localizedLabel.LocalizedTag = value; } } /// <summary> /// Defaults to "yafcssbutton" /// </summary> public string CssClass { get { return (ViewState["CssClass"] != null) ? I have added in the code as of right now an extra onclick="this.style.display='none'" in the .cs code but that is a ugly fix I was wondering if anyone would have a better idea of disabling the ThemeButton clientside?? pls any feedback if I need to give more examples or further explain the question thanks.

  • Multiple login locations for an online app.

    - by Goro
Hello, I am working on a browser based application that will have many users. The catch is that every user should have their own customized login page, but the actual application is the same for everyone, and needs to be in a central location. What is the most secure way of doing this? Would it make more sense to have a copy of the application for each user, and keep the database centralized? The projected number of users is not very high, probably around 20-80. Thank you,

  • Facebook Connect for iPhone persistant login

    - by Sam
Hi, I have implemented Facebook Connect in my iPhone project and it is working great. The only problem I have is that every time the user closes the app, the next time they load it they have to re-enter their username and password to login even if the 'keep me logged in' box is checked. My question is is there a way to save the user's session so next time the app is launched they are automatically logged into Facebook Connect without any prompts? Thanks!

  • is there a way to disconnect from facebook login without calling logout

    - by Joey
Basically, I'd like to know how I can logout of my facebook session if I am in an iphone app and have connected to facebook (such that I do not have to repeatedly enter my login/password). Normally you'd disconnect in the app somewhere like in the options, but if this is not available (i.e. anything that triggers the FBSession logout method) is there some other way to do it? I'm guessing one could restore their phone to factory settings or something.

Stack Overflow has this functionality but it seems like they need the user to manually say "this account google account is associated with that yahoo one". Is there no way to do this automatically?

  • PHP Login, Store Session Variables.

    - by Andreas Carlbom
Yo. I'm trying to make a simple login system in PHP and my problem is this: I don't really understand sessions. Now, when I log a user in, I run session_register("user"); but I don't really understand what I'm up to. Does that session variable contain any identifiable information, so that I for example can get it out via $_SESSION["user"] or will I have to store the username in a separate variable? Thanks.

  • Reasons for missing IP info in `last` output on pts logins?

Mon Nov 12 14:41 - 14:46 (00:04) You can see two of my pts login entries above that do not have a source IP address associated with them. My CentOS machines have as many as six other users that share the systems, but the mpenning userid is the only one that has this issue. Approximately 5% of my logins see this issue, but no other usernames exhibit this behavior. Questions Given the kind of scripts I keep on these systems (which control much of our network infrastructure), I'm a little spooked by this and would like to understand what would cause my logins to occasionally miss source addresses. Is there anything (other than malicious activity) that would reasonably explain the behavior? Other than bash history timestamping, are there other things I can do to track the issue down? Informational Since this started happening, I enabled bash history time-stamping (i.e. HISTTIMEFORMAT="%y-%m-%d %T " in .bash_profile) and also added a few other bash history hacks; however, that does not give clues to what happened during the previous occurrences. • asp.net web forms best practice to retrieve dynamic server control values

    - by Andrew Florko
I populate web form with dynamic list of exams from database. I want user to enter examination marks for each exam. There is list of exam titles and textbox near each title. I create list with repeater control: <asp:Repeater ID="rptExams" runat="server" onitemdatabound="rptExams_ItemDataBound" > <ItemTemplate> <tr> <td> <asp:Literal runat="server" ID="ltTitle"/> </td> <td> <asp:HiddenField runat="server" ID="hfId"/> <asp:Textbox runat="server" ID="tbMark"/> </td> </tr> </ItemTemplate> </asp:Repeater> And bind data to repeater on page_init: class Exam { public int Id { get; set;} public string Title { get; set;} } ... // this list is retrieved from database actually Exam[] Exams = new Exam[] { new Exam { Id = 1, Title = "Math"}, new Exam { Id = 2, Title = "History"} }; ... protected void Page_Init(object sender, EventArgs e) { rptExams.DataSource = Exams; rptExams.DataBind(); } So far so good. Then I have to retrieve data on postback. I have two ways but both of them looks ugly. Idea is to store dynamically created databounded controls on ItemDataBoundEvent in Page_Init stage, and process their values in Page_Load stage. It looks like this: private Dictionary<HiddenField, TextBox> Id2Mark = new Dictionary<HiddenField, TextBox>(); protected void rptExams_ItemDataBound(object sender, RepeaterItemEventArgs e) { ... if (IsPostBack) { var tbMark = (TextBox)e.Item.FindControl("tbMark"); var hfId = (HiddenField)e.Item.FindControl("hfId"); // store dynamically created controls Id2Mark.Add(hfId, tbMark); } ... } protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (IsPostBack) { foreach (var pair in Id2Mark) { int examId = Int32.Parse(pair.Key.Value); string mark = pair.Value.Text; // PROCESS } ... I'm completely sure there is a better way to retrieve data from dynamically created controls. Thank you in advance!
