  • LyX - breaking long formula lines

    - by Amir Rachum
How can I break long formulas in LyX into two (or more) lines? I know how to write several lines of equations in one "math box" but I'm looking for a solution to break lines even in the middle of a parenthesis. I'm using LyX 1.6.4 and currently, when the formula is too big, it doesn't do anything (it just doesn't print the last segment of it, which is "beyond" the page). Is this possible in LyX?

  • trigger jQuery function after location.reload() completes

    - by raj
I have a Rails app that allows users to login via jQuery modal form. Once logged in, I refresh the original page using location.reload(). At this point, I'm attempting to create a new jQuery dialog. How can I open the dialog only after location.reload() has finished executing? Right now the dialog is loading up before location.reload() is done. This is causing the dialog to disappear.

  • ModalPopup CodeBehind Function Wait For User Response

    - by Snave
I have set up a function which returns an enum of the button that the user clicked in the ModalPopup. I have a variable of type enum to store which button the user clicks in the button click event. In this function, I call the ModalPopupExtender's Show() method. My problem is, the function finishes out and returns the default enum (which is "none" since no button was clicked yet) before the ModalPopup can be shown and store which button the user clicks. So without changing the function to a method and using a different way to store the user's button click, how can I pause the function after the Show() method of the MPE has been called and wait for the user to click a button? Edit(11/20/2009): Clarification: On the aspx page, I include a ScriptManager, PlaceHolder, and an asp:Button with a codebehind click event. What I want is to click the button, then in the click event handler, I want to call a custom static class function that returns a variable. One of the arguments it takes is the PlaceHolder. The function creates all the necessary controls in the PlaceHolder needed to display a ModalPopup. It calls the created ModalPopupExtender's Show() method. What should happen: At this point is the ModalPopup gets displayed, the user clicks a button, that button's event handler fires, the button sets a variable indicating that it was clicked, it then calls the ModalPopupExtender's .Hide() method, and then the function returns the variable that indicates which button was clicked. We then return to the event handler from the original button that was clicked and the programmer can then perform some logic based on what variable was returned. Crux: When the ModalPopupExtender's .Show() method gets called, it does not display the ModalPopup until AFTER the function returns a default variable (because no button was clicked yet) and after the event handler from the original button that was clicked ends. What I need: After the ModalPopupExtender's .Show() method is called, I need the ModalPopup to get displayed immediately and I need the function to wait for a button click to be made from the ModalPopup. My thoughts: Some PostBack needs to be made to the page telling it to update and display the ModalPopup Panel. Then maybe a while loop can be run in the function that waits for a button to be clicked in the ModalPopup.

It displays fine on the jsp page or in the ireports preview but when it generates the RFT format, it gives me the "Invalid text height" error. I have no idea which field is causing this error, is there a way in ireports to drill down exactly which field is causing it?

  • log4net not logging with a mixture of .net 1.1 and .net 3.5

    - by Jim P
Hi All, I have an iis server on a windows 2003 production machine that will not log using log4net in the .net3.5 web application. Log4net works fine in the 1.1 apps using log4net version 1.2.9.0 and but not the 3.5 web app. The logging works fine in a development and staging environment but not in production. It does not error and I receive no events logged in the event viewer and don't know where to look next. I have tried both versions of log4net (1.2.9.0 and 1.2.10.0) and both work in development and staging but not in production. For testing purposes I have created just a single page application that just echos back the time when the page is hit and also is supposed to log to my logfile using log4net. Here is my web.config file: <configSections> <!-- LOG4NET Configuration --> <section name="log4net" type="log4net.Config.Log4NetConfigurationSectionHandler,log4net" requirePermission="false" /> </configSections> <log4net debug="true"> <appender name="RollingFileAppender" type="log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender"> <param name="File" value="D:\DIF\Logs\TestApp\TestApp_"/> <param name="AppendToFile" value="true"/> <param name="RollingStyle" value="Date"/> <param name="DatePattern" value="yyyyMMdd\.\l\o\g"/> <param name="StaticLogFileName" value="false"/> <layout type="log4net.Layout.PatternLayout"> <param name="ConversionPattern" value="%date{HH:mm:ss} %C::%M [%-5level] - %message%newline"/> </layout> </appender> <root> <level value="ALL"/> <appender-ref ref="RollingFileAppender"/> </root> </log4net> Here is my log4net initialization: // Logging for the application private static ILog mlog = LogManager.GetLogger(MethodBase.GetCurrentMethod().DeclaringType); protected void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e) { try { // Start the configuration of the Logging XmlConfigurator.Configure(); mlog.Info("Started logging for the TestApp Application."); } catch (Exception ex) { throw; } } Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim

I need to make changes to some Perl modules (.pm's). Somewhere along the line the data got changed and I need to find out where.

It has AllowPaging=True This is the gridview: <asp:GridView ID="gvExperiencias" runat="server" AllowPaging="True" GridLines="None" ShowHeader="False" AutoGenerateColumns="False" Width="650px" PageSize="4" OnDataBinding="gvExperiencias_DataBinding" OnPageIndexChanging="gvExperiencias_PageIndexChanging"> <PagerSettings Mode="NumericFirstLast" FirstPageImageUrl="~/images/fle_pag_izq.gif" LastPageImageUrl="~/images/fle_pag_der.gif" NextPageImageUrl="~/images/fle_pag_der.gif" PreviousPageImageUrl="~/images/fle_pag_izq.gif" Position="TopAndBottom" PageButtonCount="4" FirstPageText="" LastPageText="" NextPageText="" PreviousPageText=""></PagerSettings> <Columns> <asp:TemplateField> <ItemTemplate> <div id="it_0" class="new_solo_exp_ini"> <asp:HyperLink ID="a_0" runat="server" NavigateUrl='<%# "experiencia.aspx?cod_cod=" + Eval("tttb_articulo_relacion_0.ARTCOD_ARTREL") + "&pag=" + pag + "&grp=" + Eval("idiocod_cod_idi_0") + "&cod="+cod %>' Visible='<%# Eval("NotEmpty_0") %>'> <asp:Image ID="Image_0" runat="server" Height="88px" ImageUrl='<%# Eval("arigls_nom_img_0","~/ArchivosUsuario/1/1/Articulos/{0}") %>' Width="88px" CssClass="new_image_exp_ini" /> </asp:HyperLink> <div class="new_vineta_tit_exp_ini"> <asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLink_0" runat="server" NavigateUrl='<%# "experiencia.aspx?cod_cod=" + Eval("tttb_articulo_relacion_0.ARTCOD_ARTREL") + "&pag=" + pag + "&grp=" + Eval("idiocod_cod_idi_0") + "&cod="+cod %>' Text='<%# Bind("arigls_tit_0") %>'> </asp:HyperLink> </div> </div> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> </Columns> <PagerStyle CssClass="new_pag_bajo_exp_ini" /> <RowStyle CssClass="new_fila_exp_ini" /> </asp:GridView> When I click the last button or the ... it goes to the corresponding page but when i click on a previous page i get the following errror: An Error Has Occurred Because A Control With Id $ContentPlaceHolder1$gvExperiencias$ctl01$ctl01' Could Not Be Located Or A Different Control Is assigned to the same ID after postback. If the ID is not assigned, explicitly set the ID property of controls that raise postback events to avoid this error. So the pager does not work correctly. I think it's because of the Image's Id that has to be generated dinamically but i don't know how to do it. Can someone help me?

  • Google Base Query Problems

    - by Craig
I am querying Google Base using the .NET library pretty much as described on this page. http://code.google.com/apis/base/docs/2.0/developers_guide_dotnet.html When I run the query a GBaseFeed is returned and it will usually have the TotalRecords property set to something like 35, but in the Entries collection it will often have no items or very few items. Other times the query returns all 35 items as expected in the Entries. Has anyone seen this behaviour or have any idea what could cause it?
