  • org.apache.commons.httpclient.NameValuePair in post method

    - by pushkins
    I'm writing some code like : PostMethod p = new PostMethod(someurl); ... NameValuePair[] data = { new NameValuePair("name1", "somevalue1"), new NameValuePair("var[3][1]", "10") }; try { hc.executeMethod(p); } ... And that's what I get, when I look at my post in Wireshark: POST /someurl HTTP/1.1 ... type=var&ship%5B3%5D%5B1%5D=10 %5B means [, %5D- ] So the problem is how I can get square brackets in my post?

  • A NSMutableArray is destroying my life!

    - by camilo
EDITED to show the relevant part of the code Hi. There's a strange problem with an NSMutableArray which I'm just not understanding... Explaining: I have a NSMutableArray, defined as a property (nonatomic, retain), synthesized, and initialized with 29 elements. realSectionNames = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithCapacity:29]; After the initialization, I can insert elements as I wish and everything seems to be working fine. While I'm running the application, however, if I insert a new element in the array, I can print the array in the function where I inserted the element, and everything seems ok. However, when I select a row in the table, and I need to read that array, my application crashes. In fact, it cannot even print the array anymore. Is there any "magical and logical trick" everybody should know when using a NSMutableArray that a beginner like myself can be missing? Thanks a lot. I declare my array as realSectionNames = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithCapacity:29]; I insert objects in my array with [realSectionNames addObject:[category categoryFirstLetter]]; although I know i can also insert it with [realSectionNames insertObject:[category categoryFirstLetter] atIndex:i]; where the "i" is the first non-occupied position. After the insertion, I reload the data of my tableView. Printing the array before or after reloading the data shows it has the desired information. After that, selecting a row at the table makes the application crash. This realSectionNames is used in several UITableViewDelegate functions, but for the case it doesn't matter. What truly matters is that printing the array in the beginning of the didSelectRowAtIndexPath function crashes everything (and of course, doesn't print anything). I'm pretty sure it's in that line, for printing anything he line before works (example): NSLog(@"Anything"); NSLog(@"%@", realSectionNames); gives the output: 2010-03-24 15:16:04.146 myApplicationExperience[3527:207] Anything [Session started at 2010-03-24 15:16:04 +0000.] GNU gdb 6.3.50-20050815 (Apple version gdb-967) (Tue Jul 14 02:11:58 UTC 2009) Copyright 2004 Free Software Foundation, Inc. • Chrome extension - Localstorage not working

    - by Bjarki Jonasson
    I'm writing a Chrome extension that uses a content script to modify certain parts of a website. The content script worked fine until I tried to add an options page to my extension. Right now I'm using an options.html file to save user preferences to localstorage, as you can see here: <html> <head><title>Options</title></head> <script type="text/javascript"> function save_options() { var select = document.getElementById("width"); var width = select.children[select.selectedIndex].value; localStorage["site_width"] = width; } function restore_options() { var fwidth = localStorage["site_width"]; if (!fwidth) { return; } var select = document.getElementById("width"); for (var i = 0; i < select.children.length; i++) { var child = select.children[i]; if (child.value == fwidth) { child.selected = "true"; break; } } } </script> <body onload="restore_options()"> Width: <select id="width"> <option value="100%">100%</option> <option value="90%">90%</option> <option value="80%">80%</option> <option value="70%">70%</option> </select> <br> <button onclick="save_options()">Save</button> </body> </html> I also have a background.html file to handle the communication between the content script and the localstorage: <html> <script type="text/javascript"> chrome.extension.onRequest.addListener(function(request, sender, sendResponse) { if (request.method == "siteWidth") sendResponse({status: localStorage["site_width"]}); else sendResponse({}); }); </script> </html> Then there's the actual content script that looks like this: var Width; chrome.extension.sendRequest({method: "siteWidth"}, function(response) { width = response.status; }); None of that code actually works. It looks solid enough to me but I'm not a very experienced programmer so I might be wrong. Could someone explain localstorage to me in layman's terms?

  • Variable popen calls in C

    - by Bushman
I'm trying to execute MS-DOS DEL commands inside a Win32 C program, and I already know that system and popen can be used for this. However, the problem is that both require string literals (type const char) for the commands, and I need something like the DOS equivalent of dir ~ | grep -P '/\d{7,8}\.exe$/' | rm, which obviously can't use string literals. Is there some other subprocess function in C that allows for char arrays as arguments for process names?

  • how to disable vim autocomplete popup for plain text files?

    - by doorfly
After literally days of tweaking, I think I got vim's autocomplete (omnicomplete + Acp plugin) to work acceptably. But the annoying thing is that it is still enabled for plain text files so I would have to type :DisableAcp for README or plain text files. How do I add logic to my vimrc so that if it detects an empty filetype it disables the Acp on startup? here is what I wrote: if &filetype == "" let g:acp_enableStartup = 0 endif but this disables Acp on start up for all files.

  • Force Normal View when generating Word doc via HTML

    - by Jared
I am creating an HTML document which we are then pushing out to MS Word using a "application/msword" content type. This works so far except that the files open in Word with Web View. Once Normal View is selected all works fine. Is there any way to force Word to open with Normal View instead of Web View?

  • Is there a built-in .NET method for getting all of the properties and values for an object?

    - by Ben McCormack
Let's say I have: public class Item { public string SKU {get; set; } public string Description {get; set; } } .... Is there a built-in method in .NET that will let me get the properties and values for variable i of type Item that might look like this: {SKU: "123-4556", Description: "Millennial Radio Classic"} I know that .ToString() can be overloaded to provide this functionaility, but I couldn't remember if this was already provided in .NET.

  • Abstract mapping with custom JiBX marshaller

    - by aweigold
I have created a custom JiBX marshaller and verified it works. It works by doing something like the following: <binding xmlns:tns="http://foobar.com/foo" direction="output"> <namespace uri="http://foobar.com/foo" default="elements"/> <mapping class="java.util.HashMap" marshaller="com.foobar.Marshaller1"/> <mapping name="context" class="com.foobar.Context"> <structure field="configuration"/> </mapping> </binding> However I need to create multiple marshallers for different HashMaps. So I tried to reference it with abstract mapping like this: <binding xmlns:tns="http://foobar.com/foo" direction="output"> <namespace uri="http://foobar.com/foo" default="elements"/> <mapping abstract="true" type-name="configuration" class="java.util.HashMap" marshaller="com.foobar.Marshaller1"/> <mapping abstract="true" type-name="overrides" class="java.util.HashMap" marshaller="com.foobar.Marshaller2"/> <mapping name="context" class="com.foobar.Context"> <structure map-as="configuration" field="configuration"/> <structure map-as="overrides" field="overrides"/> </mapping> </binding> However when doing so, when I attempt to build the binding, I receive the following: Error during code generation for file "E:\project\src\main\jibx\foo.jibx" - this may be due to an error in your binding or classpath, or to an error in the JiBX code My guess is that either I'm missing something I need to implement to enable my custom marshaller for abstract mapping, or custom marshallers do not support abstract mapping. I have found the IAbstractMarshaller interface in the JiBX API (http://jibx.sourceforge.net/api/org/jibx/runtime/IAbstractMarshaller.html), however the documentation seems unclear to me on if this is what I need to implement, as well as how it works if so. I have not been able to find an implementation of this interface to work off of as an example. My question is, how do you do abstract mapping with custom marshallers (if it's possible)? If it is done via the IAbstractMarshaller interface, how does it work and/or how should I implement it?

  • MDX: How to exclude ancestors from being returned in this query?

    - by wgpubs
I have this MDX query: Exists([Group].[Group Hierarchy].allmembers, {[Group].[Group Full Name].&[121 - Group A], [Group].[Group Full Name].&[700000 - Group C]}) ... which works fine EXCEPT that it returns all of the ancestors of the specified groups as well. What I want is to return JUST the groups from the hierarchy with the specified Group Names (this is a type 2 dimension so there may be many at different levels). Any ideas?
