  • Detect a tag in hook-script SVN

    - by Mark
Is there a way that I can detect a tag/branch in SVN? Could I find out where the commits destination is? I want to check that all externals are set to a specific version of the folder they are pointing to, I don't want to prevent commits to a tag with this script. I am writing the script with the c-pyhton bindings.

  • What is the difference between printf() and puts() in C?

    - by alex
First up, I should let you know that I am learning C, so my apologies if this question seems stupid to a more advanced developer. I know you can print with printf() and puts(). I can also see that printf() allows you to embed variables inside and do some stuff like formatting. Is puts() merely a primitive version of printf(). Should it be used for every possible printf() without string interpolation? Thanks

  • Looking for WebAii Framework free edition online - before the Telerik merge

    - by jdk
Art of Test produced a nice UI testing tool for free -- WebAii Framework-- that I've been using to add client-side DOM unit tests to my projects. Recently they merged with Telerik and it's now a commercial product. From free to $1500 is suddenly very expensive. Does anybody know if the community edition is still available, or even the last free version is available for download? At least I can finish off with that.

  • Lifting a math symbol in LaTeX

    - by Chris Conway
I'm using the symbol \otimes as a unary operator and it's vertical alignment doesn't seem right to me. It wants to sit a bit below the baseline: and I tried using \raisebox to fix this, e.g., \raisebox{1pt}{$\otimes$}: But \raisebox doesn't seem to be sensitive to subscripts. The operator stays the same size while everything around it shrinks: The problem, I think, is that \raisebox creates its own LR box, which doesn't inherit the settings in the surrounding math environment. Is there a version of \raisebox that "respects math"?

  • Bet on Sharepoint 2010 Workflows?

    - by mbr
I am looking into Sharepoint 2010 currently and it seems to me the workflow engine being used is based on WWF 3.5. I wonder if it's a good idea to do this as WWF has been gone through dramatic changes with version 4. I wonder if the investments would be save.

  • C++ UTF-8 lightweight & permissive code?

    - by xenthral
Anyone know of a more permissive license (MIT / public domain) version of this: http://library.gnome.org/devel/glibmm/unstable/classGlib_1_1ustring.html ('drop-in' replacement for std::string thats UTF-8 aware) Lightweight, does everything I need and even more (doubt I'll use the UTF-XX conversions even) I really don't want to be carrying ICU around with me.

  • Does GCC have a built-in compile time assert?

    - by VladLosev
Our existing compile-time assert implementation is based on negative array index, and it provides poor diagnostic output on GCC. C++0x's static_assert is a very nice feature, and the diagnostic output it provides is much better. I know GCC has already implemented some C++0x features. Does anyone know if static_assert is among them and if it is then since what GCC version?

I installed Boost via sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev on the most recent version of Ubuntu. I've tried many variants of the following, without success: gcc -I /usr/lib code.cpp -o compiled /usr/lib/libboost_serialization.a and gcc -I /usr/lib code.cpp -o compiled -l libboost_serialization The error message is: error: ‘split_member’ is not a member of ‘boost::serialization ` What am I missing?

  • Hadoop On Azure C#Isotope

    - by Sreesankar
During the initial release of the HadoopOnAzure, Microsoft had provided the C#Isotope SDK as a programatic interface to the Hadoop cluster on the Azure. After the HDInsight release this is removed from the downoads. More over while trying with the previous version of the sdk we get a 500 - Internal Server Error. Any idea if this services is disabled? If so whats the alternative way to programatically interface with the HDInsight Cluster on Azure?

  • xslt: operations on new elements

    - by user1495523
    Could you please explain in case we could perform any operations on newly included elements using xsl? To explain using an example: if we have the following input file <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <top> <Results> <a>no</a> <b>10</b> <c>12</c> <d>9</d> </Results> <Results> <a>Yes</a> <b>8</b> <c>50</c> <d>12</d> </Results> </top> We need the final result as <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <top> <Results> <a>no</a> <b>10</b> <b_>10</b_> <c>12</c> <c_>12</c_> <d>9</d> <e_>11</e_> </Results> <Results> <a>Yes</a> <b>8</b> <b_>8</b_> <c>50</c> <c_>50</c_> <d>12</d> <e_>29</e_> </Results> </top> Where: b_ = b, c_ = c, & e_ = (b_ + c_)/2
