    I am looking for a static function in the .NET framework which takes an XML snippet and an Xslt file, applies the transformation in memory, and returns the transformed XML. I would like to do this: string rawXml = invoiceTemplateDoc.MainDocumentPart.Document.InnerXml; rawXml = DoXsltTransformation(rawXml, @"c:\prepare-invoice.xslt")); // ... do more manipulations on the rawXml Alternatively, instead of taking and returning strings, it could be taking and returning XmlNodes. Is there such a function?

ASP.NET 2.0 allows me to do this: Dim objResult as Class1 = objList.Find(objSearch) How does this approach rate when compared to a traditional For loop, looking at a performance perspective? How would this vary with increase or decrease in length of the list?

  • Use user control in the same folder as the page.

    I get this message at runtime of ASP.NET 2 page : The page 'MyFolder/blabla.aspx' cannot use the user control 'MyFolder/MyControl.ascx', because it is registered in web.config and lives in the same directory as the page. Of course I can separate them to 2 different folders and thus solve the problem, but the question is : WTF !?!?! Why I can't put them in the same folder ?! Why can't they all .. get along !?! :) Thanks

I use crystal report 8.5 with vb.net 2008,what I want is when I generate report it will appear red value, if the value is more or less than actual value else it will give default value but when I put this code it give me wrong result If {Intake.wheatType} = {Spec.WheatType} AND {Intake.HB43} >={Spec.M_Min} AND{Intake.HB43} >={Spec.M_Max} Then Red Else DefaultAttribute this report is related with two tables, which is table Spec and table Intake.   • What is a valid use for Response.Redirect("SomeURL", false) ?

    In ASP.NET I frequently use Response.Redirect to redirect the end user to another page on my system. I always set the second parameter to true to immediately end the response. For the life of me, I can't think of a reason why anybody would ever set that parameter to true. What's the point of continuing generating a page when the end user's browser is just going to be redirected to a different page immediately?

I want to use Expression Encoder 3 to generate thumbnail image for video (wmv format) every 30 seconds -- e.g. for a 5 minutes video, there will be 10 thumbnails which reflects video at the time of 0 second, 30 second, 1 minute, 1 minute and 30 seconds, etc. Any reference code? thanks in advance, George
