  • How do I export a PFX Code Signing Key to SPC and PVK under Windows 7?

    - by Greg Finzer
    I have a code signing key in PFX format that I need to export into SPC and PVK files. I tried to install the OpenSSL from Shining light but the install fails under Windows 7. http://www.shininglightpro.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html Here are the instructions I am using from Comodo as a basis: https://support.comodo.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=1089 Anyone know of an alternate way to do this?

  • How to avoid "source !=null" when using Code Contracts and Linq To Sql?

    - by Florian
    I have the following code using a normal data context which works great: var dc = new myDataContext(); Contract.Assume(dc.Cars!= null); var cars = (from c in dc.Cars where c.Owner = 'Jim' select c).ToList(); However when I convert the filter to an extension method like this: var dc = new myDataContext(); Contract.Assume(dc.Cars!= null); var cars = dc.Cars.WithOwner('Jim'); public static IQueryable<Car> WithOwner(IQueryable<Car> cars, string owner) { Contract.Requires(cars != null); return cars.Where(c => c.Owner = owner); } I get the following warning: warning : CodeContracts: requires unproven: source != null

  • django return file over HttpResonse - file is not served correctly

    - by Tom Tom
    I want to return some files in a HttpResponse and I'm using the following function. The file that is returned always has a filesize of 1kb and I do not know why. I can open the file, but it seems that it is not served correctly. Thus I wanted to know how one can return files with django/python over a HttpResponse. @login_required def serve_upload_files(request, file_url): import os.path import mimetypes mimetypes.init() try: file_path = settings.UPLOAD_LOCATION + '/' + file_url fsock = open(file_path,"r") #fsock = open(file_path,"r").read() file_name = os.path.basename(file_path) mime_type_guess = mimetypes.guess_type(file_name) try: if mime_type_guess is not None: response = HttpResponse(mimetype=mime_type_guess[0]) response['Content-Disposition'] = 'attachment; filename=' + file_name response.write(fsock) finally: fsock.close() except IOError: response = HttpResponseNotFound() return response

  • Is there any way to find unreferenced code in Flex Builder?

    - by Andrew Aylett
    We've got several Flex projects, one of which has just been refactored. I'm wondering if there's an easy way to tell which classes and functions (if any) aren't being used any more? I've discovered that we've definitely got some unused code, because running ASDoc on the entire project reports some compilation errors which don't get reported by Flex Builder (implying that those classes aren't being used any more). I'm hoping to find a more robust and complete method, and preferably one which can work at function level too.

  • Is there a code-generator to create DataTable definition block from Excel Work sheet?

    - by burak ozdogan
    Hi, Basically the thing I want to achieve is to have a data-table that I want to use in my unit tests. And when I run my unit tests, I do not want to read any excel file into a data-table -or any call to Db-. So, I would like to have method that returns a data-table with the values that I can use in my test. Is there already any written tool to read an excel sheet and generate a code that defines an ADO.Net DataTable? Thanks, burak ozdogan

  • MS SQL Return 1 Row Per Boat

    - by Tyler
    Basically, what I want to do is join 4 tables together and return 1 row for each boat. Table Layouts [Boats] id, date, section, raft [Photos] id, boatid, pthurl, purl [River_Company] id, sort, company, company_short [River_Section] id, section Its very simple as far as structure, however, I've having the time of my life trying to get it to return only 1 row. No boat will ever be on the same day, the only thing that's messing this up is the photo table. If you know a better way for it to return the record table for all the boats boats and only 1 photo from the photo table, please, please post it!!

  • Objective-C: How to create a method that will return a UInt8 array from an int

    - by Adam
    I need to create an Objective-C method that converts an int into a byte array. In this instance, I can't use NSArray as a return type, it must be an UInt8 array. I've written a simple method to do this, but it has errors during compile and tells me that I have incompatible return types. Here is the code snippet. Any ideas? - (UInt8[])ConvertToBytes:(int) i { UInt8 *retVal[4]; retVal[0] = i >> 24; retVal[1] = i >> 16; retVal[2] = i >> 8; retVal[3] = i >> 0; return retVal; }

  • How to return variable datatypes from a method

    - by Praesagus
    I have a method whose callers require different datatypes. I could repeat the requisite conversions a dozen times by putting them in each of the callers, but it seems much more efficient to do it once in the called method. public String myMethod(String myArg) { return DoSomething(myArg); } public Int32 myMethod(String myArg) { return Convert.ToInt32(DoSomething(myArg)); } private String DoSomething(key) { return SomeList[key]; } If I have multiple methods that pull data from SomeList and have to utilize different data types then in each I have to do a type conversion. Examples might be session variables or query or form requests or any other number of things. In VB I could say Function myMethod(myArg as String) as Variant myMethod=DoSomething(myArg) End Function Sorry if the original post was not very clear. I hope this makes more sense. Thanks

  • Extending DOMDocument and DOMNode: problem with return object

    - by Glauber Rocha
    I'm trying to extend the DOMDocument class so as to make XPath selections easier. I wrote this piece of code: class myDOMDocument extends DOMDocument { function selectNodes($xpath){ $oxpath = new DOMXPath($this); return $oxpath->query($xpath); } function selectSingleNode($xpath){ return $this->selectNodes($xpath)->item(0); } } These methods return a DOMNodeList and a DOMNode object, respectively. What I'd like to do now is to implement similar methods to the DOMNode objects. But obviously if I write a class (myDOMNode) that extends DOMNode, I won't be able to use these two extra methods on the nodes returned by myDOMDocument because they're DOMNode (and not myDOMNode) objects. I'm rather a beginner in object programming, I've tried various ideas but they all lead to a dead-end. Any hints? Thanks a lot in advance.

  • return value from ajax request to another function

    - by stormdrain
    I'm trying to return a value from (transport) to the calling function, but can't seem to get it to work: function createXMLHttpRequest( w ) { var urly = '/users/notes/' + w; var options = { method:'get' , onSuccess: function( transport ) { x = transport.responseText; return x; } , onFailure: function( transport ) { var response = transport.responseText; alert( "FAILED "+ response ); } }; new Ajax.Request( urly, options ); alert( x ); } var ai = $( 'addItem' ); ai.onclick = function() { // -1 indicates new addnote( -1, null ); } x always alerts undefined. Unless I assign x to the Ajax.Request e.g. x=new Ajax.Request(urly,options). It then will alert [Object object]. How can I return the value of transport.responseText to the onclick function?

  • How to return an image in an HTTP response with CherryPy

    - by colinmarc
    I have code which generates a Cairo ImageSurface, and I expose it like so: def preview(...): surface = cairo.ImageSurface(cairo.FORMAT_ARGB32, width, height) ... cherrypy.response.headers['Content-Type'] = "image/png" return surface.get_data() preview.exposed = True This doesn't work (browsers report that the image has errors). I've tested that surface.write_to_png('test.png') works, but I'm not sure what to dump the data into to return it. I'm guessing some file-like object? According to the pycairo documentation, get_data() returns a buffer. I've also now tried: tempf = os.tmpfile() surface.write_to_png(tempf) return tempf Also, is it better to create and hold this image in memory (like I'm trying to do) or write it to disk as a temp file and serve it from there? I only need the image once, then it can be discarded.

  • how subsonic SP should return a value

    - by android.sm
    Hi all, I'm very much new to SubSonic and need a little guidance. Here, I want to know how my SP should return a value. Currently, when I execute it I simply pass an Int and it returns me a string value. Here is code: SubSonic SP: public static StoredProcedure GetQuote(int? CategoryId) { StoredProcedure sp = new StoredProcedure("GetQuote", DataService.GetInstance("Quotes Provider"), "dbo"); sp.Command.AddParameter("@CategoryId", CategoryId, DbType.Int32, 0, 10); return sp; } My Code: public bool GetQuote(int category, out string quote) { bool val = false; quote = ""; try { StoredProcedure sp = SPs.GetQuote(category); if (sp != null) { sp.Execute(); val = true; } } catch (Exception err) { throw err; } return val; } Thanks all

  • Java Math.cos() Method Does Not Return 0 When Expected

    - by dimo414
    Using Java on a Windows 7 PC (not sure if that matters) and calling Math.cos() on values that should return 0 (like pi/2) instead returns small values, but small values that, unless I'm misunderstanding, are much greater than 1 ulp off from zero. Math.cos(Math.PI/2) = 6.123233995736766E-17 Math.ulp(Math.cos(Math.PI/2)) = 1.232595164407831E-32 Is this in fact within 1 ulp and I'm simply confused? And would this be an acceptable wrapper method to resolve this minor inaccuracy? public static double cos(double a){ double temp = Math.abs(a % Math.PI); if(temp == Math.PI/2) return 0; return Math.cos(a); }

  • What is the simplest and most impressive piece of jQuery code you've seen?

    - by Matias
    I think the question is clear enough, but I'd like to clarify it because it's subjective at some point and I don't want it closed. I want to see some short jQuery examples with awesome results (either from the user or from the programmer perspective), that would not be that easy using straight javascript without any library. I find this question useful to be aware how using jQuery simplifies your js code.
