  • Is it possible to use jQuery to manipulate XUL elements?

    I know its possible to integrate jQuery within mozilla addons, but are we able to manipulate (animate, move, adjust transparency, etc) xul elements themselves? From what I understand, the mozilla addon can use jquery to manipulate html/dom elements, but not sure about xul elements. All links and tips are appreciated, -=Vin

    Hi, I have an Ajax function which will retrieve some RSS feed script from server. I put this responsetext in a div using: $("#divId").html(responsetext); I want to execute the script inside the response. Currently, the RSS feeds not showing in the div. Is there any way to do that ? thanks..

  • Username already exists, when wanting to update userprofile in djago

    Whenever i try try to update a userprofile on djano powered web, i get the error, username already exists, please provide another one. I am trying to get it to recognize the authenticated user.     I was just reading a bit about the HQ9+ programming language ( http://esolangs.org/wiki/HQ9 , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HQ9%2B and http://www.cliff.biffle.org/esoterica/hq9plus.html ), and it tells me something about a so called 'accumulator' which can be incremented, but not be accessed.     Im trying to fill a dropdownlist based on an other one: Departments and SubDepartments. i followed this link: http://www.sharepoint-tips.com/2007/01/infopath-form-services-implementing.html when i try to fill in a form it gives me an error: Request Failed (-- securityException) on this line: q.FileLocation = q.FileLocation + "&FilterField1=Department&FilterValue1=" + GetDepartmentValue(); and the second dropdownlist (subdepartments) is not filtered. Any idea what might be the problem?

    As more presentational html properties get deprecated the natural response for me was to make single property CSS classes such as .text-align-left{text-align:left}. My question is, is this preferred versus inline styles? Stackoverflow actually uses quite a bit of inline styles. PS: I know this isn't really a coding question and it is likely to incite debate but stackoverflow is the largest stack exchange for code and this question does have some use for future individuals.
