  • WinDirStat Save Report Option

    - by Josh R
When running WinDirStat against a drive, I'd like the option to save the report so that I can look at it later while "offline" away from the system it was run on. I've looked around the program and can't see this option. Am I missing something, can this be done with WinDirStat? If it can't be done, is there a way similar to WinDirStat that will allow me to save the results of a drive space scan to delve into them at a later date?

  • seaudit report detail

    - by user1014130
I've just started using selinux in the last 6 months and am getting to grips with it. However, using sealert on a new CENTOS 6 server, Im not getting the level of detail I was with CENTOS 5. To illustrate: Running sealert -a /var/log/audit/audit.log On CENTOS 5 I get: Summary: SELinux is preventing postdrop (postfix_postdrop_t) "getattr" to /var/log/httpd/error_log (httpd_log_t). Detailed Description: SELinux denied access requested by postdrop. It is not expected that this access is required by postdrop and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is causing it to require additional access. Allowing Access: Sometimes labeling problems can cause SELinux denials. You could try to restore the default system file context for /var/log/httpd/error_log, restorecon -v '/var/log/httpd/error_log' If this does not work, there is currently no automatic way to allow this access. Instead, you can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ (http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Or you can disable SELinux protection altogether. Disabling SELinux protection is not recommended. Please file a bug report (http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/enter_bug.cgi) against this package. Additional Information: Source Context root:system_r:postfix_postdrop_t Target Context system_u:object_r:httpd_log_t Target Objects /var/log/httpd/error_log [ file ] Source postdrop Source Path /usr/sbin/postdrop Port Host Source RPM Packages postfix-2.3.3-2.1.el5_2 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-2.4.6-279.el5_5.1 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted MLS Enabled True Enforcing Mode Enforcing Plugin Name catchall_file Host Name server109-228-26-144.live-servers.net Platform Linux server109-228-26-144.live-servers.net 2.6.18-194.8.1.el5 #1 SMP Thu Jul 1 19:04:48 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 1 First Seen Wed Jun 13 11:43:55 2012 Last Seen Wed Jun 13 11:43:55 2012 but on CENTOS 6 I just get: Summary: SELinux is preventing postdrop (postfix_postdrop_t) "getattr" to /var/log/httpd/error_log (httpd_log_t). Does anyone have any idea why Im not getting the "Additional information" that I do with CENTOS 5? Thanks in advance Dylan

  • Alternatives/Competitors to RWWGuard 2008

    - by Christopher Edwards
Does anyone know of any alternatives or competitors to RWWGuard? http://www.scorpionsoft.com/products/rwwguard2008/ I am looking for a two factor authentication system for Remote Web Workplace for Small Business Server 2008. RWWGuard seems good but a little expensive and also I'd like something to evaluate it against.

    - by Unsliced
I have Microsoft Project Professional 2003 installed (11.2.2005.1801.15, SP2). I have been trying to open a MPP file created in a newer version so need the converter, which is part of SP3. But when I try to install the SP3 package (as downloaded from Microsoft's site) I get an error message box: --------------------------- Project 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) --------------------------- The expected version of the product was not found on your system. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Project (and Office) are licensed and otherwise work correctly. Any advice?

  • Using IP Tables to deny packet patterns?

    - by Chris
I'm not experienced with IP tables but it's something I'll be looking into if this is plausible. I'm looking to set up a system to inspect packets and look for a pattern similar to korek's chop chop attack. Is there a way to set up the IP tables to defend against this attack? Thanks

  • How do I get details about how Network and Sharing Center detected a problem?

    - by Matthew Scouten
When I open Network and Sharing Center in Windows 7, it puts a red X between the network and the internet, but when I run Troubleshoot Problems it tells me that it does not know what the problem is. Is there any way to tell what test Windows used to place that red X, and how it failed? The system obviously knows something that it is not telling me. Knowing the details would help me solve this problem.

  • Change default root user with a new one on Ubuntu Server

    - by MultiformeIngegno
I have a VPS, until now I used the default root user for SSH access and everything. For security reasons I'd like to use a different user for root, terminal access and sudo operations. So I created another user, gave him the sudo and every other perm. The problem is that all the system files belongs to root. What happens if I set PermitRootLogin No for root? Those files wouldn't be editable by the new root user!

  • How do I access admin shares on windows 2008 r2?

    - by Jim Geurts
I am not able to access admin file shares on a Windows 2008 R2 box, if I'm logged in as a user who is part of the Administrators group. The only way I can access those shares is if I use the built in Administrator account. How can I configure the server to allow any administrator to access the file system via admin shares? Btw, this works with Windows 2003. By admin shares, I refer to: \192.168.1.4\c$ or \192.168.1.4\e$

  • /etc/exports file not read on boot

    - by netimen
I added some entries into my /etc/exports file. But when I boot my system, the file is not read. I check it by sudo exportfs — it returns nothing (also I can't mount the exported folders on other systems). Then I run sudo expotfs -a and then again sudo exportfs — and now all my exported folders are listed (and now I can mount the exported folders on other systems). I'm running kubuntu 9.04 with 2.6.28-11-generic kernel

  • Future raid update in a NAS and HP ProLiant alternatives

    - by edwardmlyte
I'm thinking of buying the HP ProLiant MicroServer*. My question is if I just put a single 2TB drive, how easy would it be in the future to upgrade to a second 2TB drive in a RAID-1 setup? Can this be done without formatting the original 2TB drive? *It looks like the £100 cashback offer is stopping end of Aug, making this system cost around £260 without HDDs. Are there any other brands that anyone would recommend for all-in-one hardware solutions.

  • Function keys over SSH/PuTTY to SCO unix

    - by CyberKing
I am trying to set up SSH to a SCO Unix server that runs custom software that uses the function keys on the keyboard, however the keys do not appear to be in the correct format for SCO to recognise. None of the keyboard options on PuTTY work, including the SCO option. How do I change the keycodes that SCO/bash is looking for when it wants a function key? If it helps, the system is upgrading from Wyse50 terminals. thanks!

  • How do I know if DirectX is using hardware acceleration or software rendering?

    - by JohnIdol
Is there any DirectX diagnostcs tool which will allow me to understand if Graphics acceleration from my GPU is actually working or software rendering is kicking-in instead? I ask this because If I go properties (right click on desktop) -- settings -- I get an error saying my drivers are not working for my Intel Embedded GPU (Intel Embedded Graphics Driver - IEGD) and the system is defaulting to standard VGA drivers. I am on WinXP Professional.

  • Make mod_wsgi use python2.7.2 instead of python2.6?

    - by guron
i am running Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS and it came pre-packed with python2.6 but i need to replace it with python2.7.2. (The reason is simple, 2.7 has a lot of features backported from 3 ) i had installed python2.7.2 using ./configure make make altinstall the altinstall option installed it, without touching the system default version, to /usr/local/lib/python2.7 and placed the interpreter in /usr/local/bin/python2.7 Then to help mod_wsgi find python2.7 i added the following to /etc/apache2/sites-available/wsgisite WSGIPythonHome /usr/local i start apache and run a test wsgi app BUT i am greeted by python 2.6.5 and not Python2.7 Later i replaced the default python simlink to point to python 2.7 ln -f /usr/local/bin/python2.7 /usr/bin/python Now typing 'python' on the console opens python2.7 but somehow mod_wsgi still picks up python2.6 Next i tried, PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH export PATH then do a quick restart apache, but yet again its python2.6 !! • ~/.profile does not run on startup

    - by pocoa
I want to run some scripts at system startup, so in ~/.profile file, I've added: WORKSPACE="~/Development/workspace" alias workspace="cd $WORKSPACE" So I want this "workspace" alias to be available after the startup. Maybe it's not the right place to define these variables.

  • Restore dpm 2010 protection groups from partitions

    - by Dragouf
Hello, I have Data protection manager (DPM) 2010. I did a backup of my system which has been saved into different partitions. The computer running DPM crashed and is not allowing me to restore the backup. However, i still have all the backups as partitions. How can I restore the multiple protection groups from the physical existing partitions? I have been researching the msdn documentation for a solution, but no luck so far. Thanks for your help

  • Is it possable to invert the image output on a computer for a rear projection screen?

    - by Faken
Hello everyone, Is there a way to flip/invert/mirror a video out on a computer with a on board Intel video card? I'm making a large rear projection screen and i need to invert the image to project properly. One of my projectors has a function that automatically inverts the image, but the other one may or may not (likely not) and i need two projectors to drive the system so I'm hoping to do the inversion on the computer side before projecting.

  • Can I chain authentication methods in Apache?

    - by jldugger
I've got an existing SVN system that we're migrating away from SVN AuthUserFile (a flat file format) to LDAP authentication. In so doing, we'd like to establish a transitional phase where both LDAP and AuthUserFile work. Does Apache support fall through authentication mechanisms? I'm reading the documentation and it's still not clear either way.
