  Happy belated 4th of July, everyone! Here are the notes for this week’s release on CodePlex: Implemented performance improvements to Git repositories. Fixed an issue that caused the final “click here” download link to fail in projects that display ads. Fixed an issue for certain projects that made it impossible to edit releases. Fixed an issue where the URL for a diff of a file would not take users to the diff in question. Fixed a rare issue that prevented a small subset of projects from modifying their project details. Fixed an issue where scrollbars were missing in our side-by-side diff viewer. Super- and sub-scripts now work properly in documentation. Addressed several usability issues around the diff viewer.   Searching for answers about the "Clear Text Credential Access Enabled" field, I found a question on an oracle forum that was my exactly what I was trying to find out. Thinking that my answer would soon be found, I happily click on the link only to find zero replies. All hope was lost. I am posting the question here, hoping that someone on this site will know the answer. Can somebody please explain the usage of "Clear Text Credential Access Enabled" checkbox under "-Security-Advanced tab for Weblogic 11g? What is the difference if we set or unset this flag? If I dont set this flag I get an exception like "Access to sensitive attribute in clear text is not allowed due to the setting of ClearTextCredentialAccessEnabled attribute in SecurityConfigurationMBean" when I try to set a value for the "Credential" field. But what should be the value for "Credential" field if I dont set the "Clear Text Credential Access Enabled"flag?

• Firefox 16: Setting to bookmark always to Toolbar by Shortcut?

  The question sounds easy but I could not find a solution using google search. Maybe you have an idea: I am searching for the Firefox setting to bookmark always to the toolbar. If I click CTRL+D the default "Folder" is "Bookmarks Menu". I'd like to have it always "Bookmarks Toolbar", without the need of changing it every time. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/wzxt5.png PS: I know that you can use the mouse and drag the icon from the URL to the toolbar. But using the keyboard more and more as it is just faster, this is not an option.

• Mount drive at /Volumes/NAME/ or similar in Cygwin

  Hi.. I'm using Cygwin on Windows 7. When I plug in an USB stick, the drive automatically gets mounted to /cygdrive/x . This is good and really easy to use. My problem is that the drive letter changes sometimes, and when I've got remotes set up in git - I've got one called usb at /cygdrive/h/ - this sometimes doesn't work and I have to change the remote URL. That's just an example, there are other scenarios where I wouldn't want it to change. I like what the Mac does, and puts mounts a volume at /Volumes/STICK (STICK is the Volume name of my usb stick). Is there any way I can do this, or something similar under Cygwin. Thanks

  Hi there! I'm trying to figure out a structure for a hosted application that i'm working on. I've got a domain lets call it app.company.com (a sub-domain company.com of course) that is setup to redirect to my IIS 6 web server. I would like to set up one website in IIS for each client that will use this application. And have the URL schema be like this: app.company.com/clientA -- would point to ClientA website in IIS app.company.com/clientB -- would point to ClientB website in IIS Do you guys have any pointers or best practices for my scenario?

• French accents on a PC with US keyboard??

  My laptop has a US keyboard, and I need to write some French, with accents. I know there's a painful way to do it with combinations of the alt key and the ascii code alt-codes, but I was wondering if there was an easier way to do it. PS: Since the question is closed (but the answers no great) I thought I'd add this addendum. • Cannot access apache webserver running on home network from internet.

  I am trying to setup apache web server in my home network. I followed the instructions found at http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/creating/hostmyown.html. I have a d-link dir-601 router with a cable internet connection. I am able to connect to the web server from my LAN using the url pointing to my server's ip 192.168.0.103 in the web browser. but when I am trying to browse the same with my phone on 3G network, I get a message "server cannot be found". My Public IP starts with 61.xx.xxx.xxx and my router has an IP of 192.168.0.1 Could anyone please help me in figuring out the isuue. Thanks in advance.

• Mouse works only in some applications

  Recently my mouse has been buggy (actually one of the reasons I'm switching from Windows 8.1) (I say mouse, but I mean mice, I've tried several). It will work just fine, but when I try to click in the unity launcher to switch to a program such as Terminal it won't work. If I then use alt+tab to switch to Terminal I cannot click in the still-exposed Firefox to switch to that, AND it will change the mouse cursor to show things in Firefox as if I was still focused on the window (show the hand when hovering over a link). But if I then try to type in Firefox, thinking Terminal is now just shown over all windows, it types in Terminal. In Windows 8.1 I had a similar problem, I would run a program, but would only be able to use my mouse in it to click and right-click and everything for about 20 seconds before it would stop responding. NOTE: my mouse still moves around, I just can't click and sometimes it won't even register as hovering over something. I'm currently on Ubuntu 14.04 and the other OS is Windows 8.1. Any help is appreciated, Ethan

  I am running a php site on my apache server (Mac). I am having trouble displaying images on the site when I access it externally or from another computer on the same server. If I try to access the image directly. website.com/image.jpg I get a broken link icon and can't display the image. Any ideas what could cause this? My images are embedded using a style.css file. background-image:url(image.jpg);

  Textexpander is a program that aims to save you time by auto-replacing snippets of text with the content of your choice, or to quote their Web site: "Save yourself time and effort by typing short abbreviations for frequently-used text and images." So for instance when you type ,h1 it will change it to <h1></h1> with the cursor placed between the <. After some searching I have yet to find a resource/forum-thread/whatnot that discuss the uses of this marvelous program. I am therefore looking for your best snippets or a link to a resource where I can find this. Oh and one thing I can think of right away is sigw, sigp for my work/personal email signature.

• Why does Mac OS X auto-mount the (disabled) home folder?

  I've just bought a MacBook Pro. Now I'm trying to build up a filesystem (just some path) that looks like my Ubuntu server. By doing so, I can reuse a lot of the scripts I've written before. I found that Mac OS X auto mounts home with map auto_home, which prevents me from even making a symbolic link. I managed to solve this problem from the solution here. It mentioned that Time Machine will auto-exclude the home folder. But I'm wondering why, this is confusing.

• Trying to find a good filehost [closed]

  I'm looking for a good filehost that I can use to link downloads on my blog (personally created files, no copyright infringement). Been looking at mediafire, but I'm not sure what else is out there that would meet my needs. Ideally wanting something that has no files-per-day-per-user limits, can host individual files of at least 500MB each, and has very little hassle for the users who download from them. I'll pay for a 'premium' or whatever level account if necessary. Any good suggestions? Or will mediafire be my best bet for this?

So here is what i need: a search engine that will take a keyword. the search engine will open a new page with a list of all website users, displaying first the users that have the specific keyword in their username. display your username in the placeholder. • Why can I browse to localhost, not to my computer name? (IIS7) [closed]

  I'm not very clued up on IIS, but I'm trying to do something that I thought would be quite simple. In IE, if I browse to http://localhost:80, I am greeted with a pretty picture with a bunch of welcome messages and a big "IIS7", thanks to the graphic designers at Microsoft. In IE, if I browse to http://mycomputername:80, I'm greeted with 404. It may be my fault... perhaps I've done something weird. Chrome replies 404 to either of those. Should this work, and if so, what am I doing wrong, or what can I do to get it to work? What might cause this to happen and how can I fix it? EDIT To add a bit more information. I did find after posting this question that http://localhost:80 was the only URL I could access on my local PC. I could not access any of the virtual sub-directories on localhost via my browser.

• Why are Google search results not working for me? Does it have to do with otnggrneohai? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: What to do if my computer is infected by a virus or a malware? I can't use Google search results right now. The actual searches return results that look valid, but whenever I click on a link, I'm redirected to strange sites. I believe I'm being affected by a virus that has something to do with the string "otnggrneohai." I was running Windows 7 Home with Microsoft Security Essentials, but Microsoft Security Essentials has been deleted. I did not delete it myself. • In Ubuntu, my apps no longer have the system menu bar (not the panels!)

  So, I booted up my box today after the weekend, and my apps no longer have the System Menu Bar at the top. It kinda sucks 'cause that's an easy way to maximize windows. How do I get it back?
