hi,
i want to put noise filtering which is already in the sphinx4 to my application.
is there any previous examples available. how to do it and all. what are the libraries and all.
Hi.
I am trying to convert PDF to PDF/A.
Currently I can do this using OpenOffice pdf viewer plugin together with Jodconverter 2. But this is pretty cumbersome to do.
Does anybody of any open source / free Java libraries I can use to do this.
I got a sample snippet code from OpenNETCF and cfAes, but name space definition is missing for some reason. Here is the missing namespace:
using OpenNETCF.Security.Cryptography.NativeMethods;
I tried to add reference for all the OpenNETCF libraries. But didn't work me.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks.
I would like to include libQtGui.so.4 libQtNetwork.so.4 and libQtCore.so.4 in the same directory as where my app resides. How would I make Qt understand this? y purpose is to have a standalone app that uses shared libraries
I need to get a list of user names from Active Directory using C++Builder. I know I could shell out to batch file and run the csvde.exe command but surely there is a nicer way using a library or something, right? Are there any C++ libraries? (hopefully with examples?)
Many thanks!

I am using the EnableCdn=true in my ScriptManager so that WebResource.axd and ScriptResource.axd are overridden with static links to JS libraries at the MS CDN service as follows:
<asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server" EnableCdn="true" />
How do I override the CDN URLs or service so that I can retrieve the scripts over HTTPS from the MS CDN service rather than HTTP to avoid the browser mixed mode message? or for that matter a different or my own CDN service entirely.
I need some help deciding what to use to acquire an image from a webcam. I want to acquire a single image. I know you can typically acquire a still image at a higher resolution than a single video frame.
Currently, I am using MATLAB's image acquisition toolbox.. which apparently only supports obtaining frames in video mode(so lower resolution). Which other libraries do you recommend? Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I have set of points which lies on the image. These set of points form a irregular closed shape. I need to find the area of this shape. Does any body which is the normal algorithm used for calculating the area ? Or is there any support available in libraries such as boost? I am using C++.
Are there any libraries for .NET that deal with determining the Indefinite Article of a noun?
My crude attempt is below, which will probably work for 99% of my usage (which is acceptable) just wondering if there are any established alternatives?
public static string GetIndefinateArticle(string noun)
{
if(string.IsNullOrEmpty(self))
return self;
var first = noun[0];
if(first == 'a' ||
first == 'e' ||
first == 'i' ||
first == 'o')
return "a " + self;
return "an " + self;
}
I want to create a simple chat application that supports voice and video (something like Skype or Google Talk). I don't want to write everything from scratch, so my question is do you know some good libraries for that?
I stumbled over libjingle (c++) and Smash (Java), both implementing the XMPP extension Jingle. Would you recommend one of those?
I have two Picture Libraries. One has pictures and the other contains the thumbnails created programmatically by me. I am displaying the thumbnails into a custom webpart. I need to display the original pictures on mouseover on the thumbnails displayed in webpart and the originals displayed should dissappear on mouse out.
Please Help. I am a new sharepoint developer
I am researching possibilities of using memcached as a session storage for a system built on CodeIgniter. Has anybody done this before(that's probably a stupid question :) and if so what's your experience folks? Have you used any existing libraries/extensions?
As far as performance improvement what have you seen? Any caveats?
The Haskell platform includes two obsolete libraries, old-time and old-locale. For old-time, it also includes the preferred alternative (namely time), but I can't figure out what the recommended alternative for old-locale is.
Is this simply a shortcoming of the Platform as of now (version 2010.1.0.0), or something I've overlooked?
I'm interested in playing with this, anyone know of any code for this already existing? or what libraries would be useful to get started on something like this?
I'm looking for information extraction libraries where I can have semi structured information that may have either hidden or incomplete data. I want to train some classifiers to pull out content based on the structure.
I'm working on building a tool where I can select text in the browser, and it will generate (via some web service call) a classifier that can be used on other documents to pull out text.
I'm primarily looking at how the structure of the document can be used to indicate what the content is.
Trying to get Ruby 1.9.1 up and running with RVM on a fresh install(fedora).
So after doing rvm install 1.9.1, the rubygems error logs show that zlib can't be located
no such file to load -- zlib (LoadError)
However both the zlib runtime and development libraries are installed and up-to-date, So I'm kinda stumped on this one at the moment.
Any suggestions?
It just started experimenting with the ajax.net ToolkitScirptManager and it works fine but then I realized that it is breaking my ajax calls I'm doing using the jQuery library. I'm guessing that it is the issue with the $ symbol, does anyone have anythoughts on how to use both libraries.
I don't want to use jquery's noconflict mode because we use other jquery plugins that I'm afraid won't work.
Any thoughts?
Using the OpenSSL libraries one can create a CSR (certificate signing request) by doing this:
openssl genrsa -out rsa.key 1024
openssl req -new -key rsa.key -out output.csr -config config.txt
where config.txt contains the distinguished name to use in the certificate.
I would like to do something similar under Windows using C#. However, the method createPKCS10 does not require you to supply an RSA key.
Is there a way to get C# to generate an explicit RSA private key and then use that private key to create the CSR?
When you select text in an article on nytimes.com this little ? pops up at the end your selection:
What's the best way to implement something like this on my site? Are there any pre-rolled libraries for doing this?
In .NET System.Object.GetHashCode method is use in a lot of places throughout the .NET base class libraries. Especially when finding items in a collection fast or to determine equality. Is there a standard algorithm/ best practise on how to implement the GetHashCode override for my custom classes so I don't degrate performance?
Does anyone know of a library to display charts and graphs natively on blackberry devices ? There are quite a few javascript (Flot...) charting libraries but I'd rather use something similar to Coreplot on iPhone if it is possible. I didn't find anything on top of SVG (JSR 226) or open GL ES (JSR 239) so any help is appreciated.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to:
draw Bar Charts (both vertical and horizontal)
draw Stacked bar charts
draw Pie charts
drill-down one level on each bar or pie section to get corresponding information
Any ideas how i can best drive a USB POS printer from c#.
POS printers are usually serial, TCP/IP or USB based.
I know how to accomplish serial and TCP/IP but have no idea about communications through USB in C#.
I know that there is a layer available from Microsoft called POS.NET, but I want to try and avoid using this.
Any ideas or any C# libraries that people can recomend would be really appreciated. Thanks
Hi,
I want to extract some kind of bmp/rgb data from jpeg files.
I had a look at libjpeg, but there seemed not to be any good documentation available.
So my questions are:
Where is documentation on libjpeg?
Can you suggest other c-based jpeg-decompression libraries?
thanks in regard
ps: I am using GNU/Linux, and c/c++
Hi Guys,

If .NET 3.5 is installed, but not .NET 3.5 SP1, WaitHandle.WaitOne(int) throws a MissingMethodException. I'd like to be notified earlier on if the correct version of the .NET libraries is not available, for example when the application is started. Is this possible?
Update: So my question question is twofold:
a) How can I determine which version of the .NET library is required by an application?
b) How can I determine the currently installed version of the .NET library?
