  • Using boost::iterator

    - by Neil G
    I wrote a sparse vector class (see #1, #2.) I would like to provide two kinds of iterators: The first set, the regular iterators, can point any element, whether set or unset. If they are read from, they return either the set value or value_type(), if they are written to, they create the element and return the lvalue reference. Thus, they are: Random Access Traversal Iterator and Readable and Writable Iterator The second set, the sparse iterators, iterate over only the set elements. Since they don't need to lazily create elements that are written to, they are: Random Access Traversal Iterator and Readable and Writable and Lvalue Iterator I also need const versions of both, which are not writable. I can fill in the blanks, but not sure how to use boost::iterator_adaptor to start out. Here's what I have so far: template<typename T> class sparse_vector { public: typedef size_t size_type; typedef T value_type; private: typedef T& true_reference; typedef const T* const_pointer; typedef sparse_vector<T> self_type; struct ElementType { ElementType(size_type i, T const& t): index(i), value(t) {} ElementType(size_type i, T&& t): index(i), value(t) {} ElementType(size_type i): index(i) {} ElementType(ElementType const&) = default; size_type index; value_type value; }; typedef vector<ElementType> array_type; public: typedef T* pointer; typedef T& reference; typedef const T& const_reference; private: size_type size_; mutable typename array_type::size_type sorted_filled_; mutable array_type data_; // lots of code for various algorithms... public: class sparse_iterator : public boost::iterator_adaptor< sparse_iterator // Derived , array_type::iterator // Base (the internal array) (this paramater does not compile! -- says expected a type, got 'std::vector::iterator'???) , boost::use_default // Value , boost::random_access_traversal_tag? // CategoryOrTraversal > class iterator_proxy { ??? }; class iterator : public boost::iterator_facade< iterator // Derived , ????? // Base , ????? // Value , boost::?????? // CategoryOrTraversal > { }; };

  • Asp.net mvc small amount data storage

    - by Trimack
    Hi there, I am writing some learning tests (i.e. what's the answer for...; choose correct options...). Now my question is, how should I store them. SQL db seems quite an overkill, but I really don't know what would be the best choice if I wanted to select random subset of questions etc. Perhaps some simple xml files? Thanks for advice.

  • How To Send A Confirmation Number To Others And Myself?

    - by user2913307
    On my website I have a reservation form. Once someone clicks submit a confirmation number comes up (that number is different everytime). I get an e-mail with everything the person filled out on my reservation form but I want to know their confirmation number as well. RANDOM NUMBER CODE $(document).ready(function() { var ranval = Math.floor((Math.random()*10000)+1); $('input[name=lblrand]').val(ranval); // bind 'myForm' and provide a simple callback function $('#myForm').ajaxForm(function() { alert("Your Message has been sent!Your Form Registration Number is: "+ ranval); $('#myForm').resetForm(); WHAT GETS E-MAILED TO ME $('#rSubmit').click(function(){ var data = {}; data.to = "[email protected]"; data.from = "[email protected]>"; data.subject = "New Reservation"; data.message = "New Reservation from Website \n"+ '\n First Name : '+$('#name').val()+ '\n Last Name : '+$('#lastname').val() + '\n Confirmation : '+$('#lblrand').val () + '\n Coupon Code : '+$('#coupon').val() + '\n Company Name : '+$('#company').val() + '\n Phone Number : '+$('#phone').val() + '\n Street Address : '+$('#street').val() + '\n Pick-Up City : '+$('#city').val()+ '\n Pick-Up State : '+$('#state').val() + '\n Pick-Up Zip : '+$('#zip').val() + '\n Date : '+$('#calendar').val()+ '\n Time : '+$('#time').val() + '\n Time : '+$('#time2').val() + '\n Time : '+$('#time3').val() + '\n Airport : '+$('#airport').val() + '\n Airline : '+$('#airline').val() + '\n Flight # : '+$('#fnumber').val() + '\n Stops : '+$('#hstops').val() + '\n Stops Info : '+$('#info').val() + '\n Passengers : '+$('#passengers').val() + '\n Luggages : '+$('#luggages').val()+ '\n Car Seat : '+$('#seat').val()+ '\n Drop-Off Street : '+$('#dostreet').val() + '\n Drop-Off City : '+$('#docity').val()+ '\n Drop-Off State : '+$('#dostate').val() + '\n Drop-Off Zip : '+$('#dozip').val() + '\n D.O Airport : '+$('#doairport').val() + '\n D.O Airline : '+$('#doairline').val() + '\n Flight # : '+$('#dofnumber').val() + '\n Date : '+$('#calendar2').val()+ '\n Time : '+$('#rtime').val() + '\n Time : '+$('#rtime2').val() + '\n Time : '+$('#rtime3').val() + '\n Return Street : '+$('#rtstreet').val() + '\n Return City : '+$('#rtcity').val()+ '\n Return State : '+$('#rtstate').val() + '\n Return Zip : '+$('#rtzip').val() + '\n Return Airport : '+$('#rtairport').val() + '\n Return Airline : '+$('#rtairline').val() + '\n Return Flight # : '+$('#rtfnumber').val() + '\n Payment Type : '+$('#payment').val() + '\n Card Number : '+$('#creditcardno').val() + '\n Exp.   • XSD and plain text

    - by Paul Knopf
    I have a rest/xml service that gives me the following... <verse-unit unit-id="38009001"> <marker class="begin-verse" mid="v38009001"/> <begin-chapter num="9"/><heading>Judgment on Israel&apos;s Enemies</heading> <begin-block-indent/> <begin-paragraph class="line-group"/> <begin-line/><verse-num begin-chapter="9">1</verse-num>The burden of the word of the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span> is against the land of Hadrach<end-line class="br"/> <begin-line class="indent"/>and Damascus is its resting place.<end-line class="br"/> <begin-line/>For the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span> has an eye on mankind<end-line class="br"/> <begin-line class="indent"/>and on all the tribes of Israel,<footnote id="f1"> A slight emendation yields <i> For to the <span class="divine-name">Lord</span> belongs the capital of Syria and all the tribes of Israel </i> </footnote><end-line class="br"/> </verse-unit> I used visual studio to generate a schema from this and used XSD.EXE to generate classes that I can use to deserialize this mess into programmable stuff. I got everything to work and it is deserialized perfectly (almost). The problem I have is with the random text mixed throughout the child nodes. The generated verse-unit objects gives me a list of objects (begin-line, begin-block-indent, etc), and also another list of string objects that represent the bits of string throughout the xml. Here is my schema <xs:element maxOccurs="unbounded" name="verse-unit"> <xs:complexType mixed="true"> <xs:sequence> <xs:choice maxOccurs="unbounded"> <xs:element name="marker"> <xs:complexType> <xs:attribute name="class" type="xs:string" use="required" /> <xs:attribute name="mid" type="xs:string" use="required" /> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:element name="begin-chapter"> <xs:complexType> <xs:attribute name="num" type="xs:unsignedByte" use="required" /> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:element name="heading"> <xs:complexType mixed="true"> <xs:sequence minOccurs="0"> <xs:element name="span"> <xs:complexType> <xs:simpleContent> <xs:extension base="xs:string"> <xs:attribute name="class" type="xs:string" use="required" /> </xs:extension> </xs:simpleContent> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:element name="begin-block-indent" /> <xs:element name="begin-paragraph"> <xs:complexType> <xs:attribute name="class" type="xs:string" use="required" /> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:element name="begin-line"> <xs:complexType> <xs:attribute name="class" type="xs:string" use="optional" /> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:element name="verse-num"> <xs:complexType> <xs:simpleContent> <xs:extension base="xs:unsignedByte"> <xs:attribute name="begin-chapter" type="xs:unsignedByte" use="optional" /> </xs:extension> </xs:simpleContent> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:element name="end-line"> <xs:complexType> <xs:attribute name="class" type="xs:string" use="optional" /> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:element name="end-paragraph" /> <xs:element name="end-block-indent" /> <xs:element name="end-chapter" /> </xs:choice> </xs:sequence> <xs:attribute name="unit-id" type="xs:unsignedInt" use="required" /> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> WHAT I NEED IS THIS. I need the random text that is NOT surrounded by an xml node to be represented by an object so I know the order that everything is in. I know this is complicated, so let me try to simplify it. <field name="test_field_0"> Some text I'm sure you don't want. <subfield>Some text.</subfield> More text you don't want. </field> I need the xsd to generate a field object with items that can have either a text object, or a subfield object. I need to no where the random text is within the child nodes.

  • Whats a valid strategy for a secure image upload from a flash client?

    - by WillyCornbread
    Hi all - I'm creating a flash application that will post images to a url for saving to disk/display later. I was wondering what are some suggested strategies for making this secure enough so that the upload is verified as coming from the application and not just some random form post. Is it reliable enough to check referring location realizing that I don't need bulletproof security, or perhaps setting authentication headers is a better strategy even though it seems unreliable from what I have read. Thanks for any advice - b

  • CMake: Mac OS X: ld: unknown option: -soname

    - by Alex Ivasyuv
    I try to build my app with CMake on Mac OS X, I get the following error: Linking CXX shared library libsml.so ld: unknown option: -soname collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [libsml.so] Error 1 make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/sml.dir/all] Error 2 make: *** [all] Error 2 This is strange, as Mac has .dylib extension instead of .so. • Decision region plot for neural network in matlab

    - by Taban
    I have a neural network trained with backpropagation algorithm. I also create data set (input and target) random. Now I want to plot a decision region where each region is marked with a red star or with a blue circle according to whether it belongs to class 1 or -1. I searched a lot but just find plotpc function that is for perceptron algorithm. What should I try now? Any link or answer really helps. Thanks

  • Android: Any way to auto-pair to another device over Bluetooth without prompting for a pin?

    - by D.
    I am looking for a way to connect to Android devices via Bluetooth without user intervention(assuming at least on device is set to "Discoverable"). Since 2.0, it seems the devices prompt for a random pin to be entered when connecting to each other for the first time. I've tried some Bluetooth projects, but none seem to work as the underlying Bluetooth Adapter code always kicks in. Is there any way around this? Thanks.

  • rails solr search limit total search results / get fixed number of results

    - by kLeos
    I'm trying to perform a search, order the results randomly, and only return a number of results, not all matches. Something like limit(2) I've tried using the Solr param 'rows' but that doesn't seem to do anything: @featured_articles = Article.search do with(:is_featured, true) order_by :random adjust_solr_params do |params| params[:rows] = 2 end end @featured_articles.total should be 2, but it returns more than 2 How can I get a randomized fixed number of results?

  • How many times can you randomly generate a GUID before you risk duplicates? (.NET)

    - by SLC
    Mathematically I suppose it's possible that even two random GUIDs generated using the built in method in the .NET framework are identical, but roughly how likely are they to clash if you generate hundreds or thousands? If you generated one for every copy of Windows in the world, would they clash? The reason I ask is because I have a program that creates a lot of objects, and destroys some too, and I am wondering about the likelihood of any of those objects (including the destroyed ones) having identical GUIDs.

  • assistance required, hangman game.

    I am making a hangman game and am having trouble with part of it. I have selected a random word from a file, but I want to display the word as a series of undersocres __ and then match the letter chosen to a position in the undersocres.
