  • How do I declare a pipe in a header file? (In C)

  • How to check for empty values on two fields then prompt user of error using javascript

    Hello guys, I hope I can explain this right I have two input fields that require a price to be entered into them in order for donation to go through and submit. The problem that I am having is that I would like the validation process check to see if one of the two fields has a value if so then proceed to submit. If both fields are empty then alert.   • Which view will be resolved, code from spring's docs

    So when you go to /appointments the get() action is called, so then would the view be get.jsp (assuming you are using .jsp, and assuming you are mapping action names to views)? And what about the getnewform? It seems to be returning an object?   • Giving users a "reputation system" - Should I... ?

    Hi folks, I'm thinking of adding a reputation system to a web application, the site is already being used so I'm trying to be careful about my choices. I'm developing in Django/Python, thought this would be important. Reputation is generated in all actions that contribute to the site, similar to Stackoverflow's system. I know there are literally millions of ways of implementing this, and this is why I feel quite lost. Two alternatives I am not sure about are: Keep track of reasons why reputation was incremented Ignore reasons in order to reduce complexity of the site and overhead Would be happy with a few pointers, and directions. Would be very much appreciated!

    How can I customize automatically generated command button, e.g. Delete? I want to add a client confirmation on deleting and in the same moment I want this button would be generated on setting AutoGenerateDeleteButton="true". Is it possible?? I can add a custom button this way: <asp:TemplateField> <ItemTemplate> <asp:LinkButton runat="server" CommandName="Delete" OnClientClick="return confirm('Delete?')">Delete</asp:LinkButton> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> but it will be not automatically localized and will be not generated on setting AutoGenerateDeleteButton="true"!

    Help me, Stackoverflow! I have a simple .NET 3.5 console app that reads some data and sends emails. I'm representing the email format in an XSLT stylesheet so that we can easily change the wording of the email without needing to recompile the app. We're using Extension Objects to pass data to the XSLT when we apply the transformation: <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt" exclude-result-prefixes="msxsl" xmlns:EmailNotification="ext:EmailNotification"> -- this way, we can have statements like: <p> Dear <xsl:value-of select="EmailNotification:get_FullName()" />: </p> The above works fine. I pass the object via code like this (some irrelevant code omitted for brevity): // purely an example structure public struct EmailNotification { public string FullName { get; set; } } // Somewhere in some method ... var notification = new Notification("John Smith"); // ... XsltArgumentList xslArgs = new XsltArgumentList(); xslArgs.AddExtensionObject("ext:EmailNotification", notification); // ... // The part where it breaks! (This is where we do the transformation) xslt.Transform(fakeXMLDocument.CreateNavigator(), xslArgs, XmlWriter.Create(transformedXMLString)); So, all of the above code works. However, I wanted to get a little fancy (always my downfall) and pass a collection, so that I could do something like this: <p>The following accounts need to be verified:</p> <xsl:for-each select="EmailNotification:get_SomeCollection()"> <ul> <li> <xsl:value-of select="@SomeAttribute" /> </li> </ul> <xsl:for-each> When I pass the collection in the extension object and attempt to transform, I get the following error: "Extension function parameters or return values which have Clr type 'String[]' are not supported." or List, or IEnumerable, or whatever I try to pass in. So, my questions are: How can I pass in a collection to my XSLT? What do I put for the xsl:value-of select="" inside the xsl:for-each ? Is what I am trying to do impossible?

    I'd like to use an object across AppDomains. For this I can use the [Serializeable] attribute: [Serializable] class MyClass { public string GetSomeString() { return "someString" } } Or subclass from MarshalByRefObject: class MyClass: MarshalByRefObject { public string GetSomeString() { return "someString" } } In both cases I can use the class like this: AppDomain appDomain = AppDomain.CreateDomain("AppDomain"); MyClass myObject = (MyClass)appDomain.CreateInstanceAndUnwrap( typeof(MyClass).Assembly.FullName, typeof(MyClass).FullName); Console.WriteLine(myObject.GetSomeString()); Why do both approaches seem to have the same effect? What is the difference in both approaches? When should I favor the one approach over the other? EDIT: At the surface I know that there are differences between both mechanisms, but if someone jumped out of a bush and asked me the question I couldn't give him a proper answer. The questions are quite open questions. I hoped that someone can explain it better than I could do.

  • Me.Invoke in VB.NET doesn't actually "Invoke" - threads stall on Invoke statement

    I've got the following code: Public Delegate Sub SetStatusBarTextDelegate(ByVal StatusText As String) Private Sub SetStatusBarText(ByVal StatusText As String) If Me.InvokeRequired Then Me.Invoke(New SetStatusBarTextDelegate(AddressOf SetStatusBarText), StatusText) Else Me.labelScanningProgress.Text = StatusText End If End Sub The problem is that, when I call the "SetStatusBarText" sub from another thread, InvokeRequired is True (as it should be), but then my threads stall on the Me.Invoke statement - pausing execution shows them all just sitting there, not actually invoking anything. Any thoughts about why the threads seem to be afraid of the Invoke?

    Hi all, I have an associative array in awk that gets populated like this... chr_count[$3]++ When I try to print my chr_counts I use this: for (i in chr_count) { print i,":",chr_count[i]; } But not surprisingly, the order of i is not sorted in any way. Is there an easy way to iterate over the sorted "keys" of chr_count?

Out of the box, the slider lets users slide with a really high number of fraction digits, but I only want my users to be able to increment/decrement by .001 for each "tick" up or down of the slider.   • Support-function in the GJK-algorithm.

    I am trying to implement the GJK-algorithm but I got stuck instantly. The problem is to implement the Support-function that isn't O(n^2). As it is now I'm computing the complete Minkowski difference, and then there is really no point in doing the GJK-algorithm. (or is it?) What I mean by Support-function is the function that returns the point in the Minkowski difference that is furthest away in a specified direction. I assume this shouldn't be O(n^2) as it is in my current implementation.

  • Windows Phone 7: Existing Libraries Not Supported?

    I was hoping it was as easy as referencing my existing libraries to use them with WP7. However, it complains about not able to load them because of .Net CF when I actually use them. Do i need to recompile them to .NET CF or something? I thought the big plus of WP7 was: leveraging your existing codebase...? How can I leverage my existing codebase if I need to strip everything out of it and maintain multiple versions?

  • Question about Remote WAN IP on NetGear FVS336G VPN setup

    I wanted to be able to have a VPN connection to my home network so I purchased the FVS336G because the reviews said it was easy set up. I am sure it is for someone that knows what needs to be entered it is easy, but I am a little confused. Using the VPN wizard I choose VPN Client as the tunnel connection, enter key, etc... but then I get to the "What is the remote WAN's IP or Internet Name" and "What is the local WAN's IP address or Internet Name" I am lost. I am probably being really dumb, but I am not sure what I need to put in here. Is the remote WAN ip the ip from the outside world to my cable modem? Is the local ip the ip to my FVS336G? Any help would be appreciated.
