  • PHP, what is the better choice for removing a known string?

    - by Brook Julias
I am looking to search for and replace a known string from within another string. Should I use str_replace() or ereg_replace()? The string to be replaced would be something similar to [+qStr+], [+bqID+], or [+aID+] and it would be being searched for in a code chunk similar to this: <li> [+qStr+] <ol class="mcAlpha"> <li><input type="radio" name="[+bqID+]" id="[+bqID+]_[+aID+]" value="[+aID+]" /><label for="[+bqID+]_[+aID+]">[+aStr+]</label></li> </ol> </li> I would be replacing the strings with the results from a MySQL query, and be performing this action or similar up to 200 times at a time. Which function str_replace() or ereg_replace() would be the easiest and/or quickest method to take.

  • IIS Flash Remoting Request Limit introduced with Coldfusion 9

    - by ciaranarcher
Hi all We've just been our Coldfusion servers from Enterprise CF 8.01 to CF 9. They are running Win 2008. We ran into trouble on those servers that provide the Flash remoting back-end for a Flex application we provide. Once the CF 9 upgrade was complete we noticed that during busy times when many Flex clients were connecting, we appeared to have a hard limit of 25 Flash Remoting Requests running, despite having much higher limits (in fact 150) set in CF Admin. Initially we thought that this was an issue with the fact that Blaze DS was now bundled with CF 9 (rather than a separate install) so we decided to roll-back the CF 9 installation. This, unfortunately, didn't work and we were still stuck with out hard limit of 25 Flash Remoting requests. Then looking at IIS we noticed that the CF9 ISAPI filter was still installed (after we had ran the Web Service Configuration part of the install). That was removed and the CF 8 one was re-run and all of a sudden the Flash Remoting hard limit disappeared. So it seems that it might have had something to do with the wsconfig of CF 9 (C:\ColdFusion9\runtime\bin\wsconfig.exe) Has anyone else had this problem, or does anybody know of where these hard limits are configured in IIS? Any and all help appreciated!

  • VSC++, virtual method at bad adress, curious bug

    - by antoon.groenewoud
Hello, This guy: virtual phTreeClass* GetTreeClass() const { return (phTreeClass*)m_entity_class; } When called, crashed the program with an access violation, even after a full recompile. All member functions and virtual member functions had correct memory adresses (I hovered mouse over the methods in debug mode), but this function had a bad memory adress: 0xfffffffc. Everything looked okay: the 'this' pointer, and everything works fine up until this function call. This function is also pretty old and I didn't change it for a long time. The problem just suddenly popped up after some work, which I commented all out to see what was doing it, without any success. So I removed the virtual, compiled, and it works fine. I add virtual, compiled, and it still works fine! I basically changed nothing, and remember that I did do a full recompile earlier, and still had the error back then. I wasn't able to reproduce the problem. But now it is back. I didn't change anything. Removing virtual fixes the problem. Sincerely, Antoon

  • MongoDB equivalent of SQL "OR"

    - by Matt
So, MongoDB defaults to "AND" when finding records. For example: db.users.find({age: {'$gte': 30}, {'$lte': 40}}); The above query finds users = 30 AND <= 40 years old. How would I find users <= 30 OR = 40 years old?

  • HttpURLConnection does not read the whole respnse

    - by Peter Szanto
    I use HttpURLConnection to do HTTP POST but I dont always get back the full response. I wanted to debug the problem, but when I step through each line it worked. I thought it must be a timing issue so I added Thread.sleep and it really made my code work, but this is only a temporary workaround. I wonder why is this happening and how to solve. Here is my code: URL u = new URL(url); URLConnection c = u.openConnection(); InputStream in = null; String mediaType = null; if (c instanceof HttpURLConnection) { //c.setConnectTimeout(1000000); //c.setReadTimeout(1000000); HttpURLConnection h = (HttpURLConnection)c; h.setRequestMethod("POST"); //h.setChunkedStreamingMode(-1); setAccept(h, expectedMimeType); h.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", inputMimeType); for(String key: httpHeaders.keySet()) { h.setRequestProperty(key, httpHeaders.get(key)); if (logger.isDebugEnabled()) { logger.debug("Request property key : " + key + " / value : " + httpHeaders.get(key)); } } h.setDoOutput(true); h.connect(); OutputStream out = h.getOutputStream(); out.write(input.getBytes()); out.close(); mediaType = h.getContentType(); logger.debug(" ------------------ sleep ------------------ START"); try { Thread.sleep(2000); } catch (InterruptedException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } logger.debug(" ------------------ sleep ------------------ END"); if (h.getResponseCode() < 400) { in = h.getInputStream(); } else { in = h.getErrorStream(); } It genearates the following HTTP headers POST /emailauthentication/ HTTP/1.1 Accept: application/xml Content-Type: application/xml Authorization: OAuth oauth_consumer_key="b465472b-d872-42b9-030e-4e74b9b60e39",oauth_nonce="YnDb5eepuLm%2Fbs",oauth_signature="dbN%2FWeWs2G00mk%2BX6uIi3thJxlM%3D", oauth_signature_method="HMAC-SHA1", oauth_timestamp="1276524919", oauth_token="", oauth_version="1.0" User-Agent: Java/1.6.0_20 Host: test:6580 Connection: keep-alive Content-Length: 1107 In other posts it was suggested to turn off keep-alive by using the http.keepAlive=false system property, I tried that and the headers changed to POST /emailauthentication/ HTTP/1.1 Accept: application/xml Content-Type: application/xml Authorization: OAuth oauth_consumer_key="b465472b-d872-42b9-030e-4e74b9b60e39", oauth_nonce="Eaiezrj6X4Ttt0", oauth_signature="ND9fAdZMqbYPR2j%2FXUCZmI90rSI%3D", oauth_signature_method="HMAC-SHA1", oauth_timestamp="1276526608", oauth_token="", oauth_version="1.0" User-Agent: Java/1.6.0_20 Host: test:6580 Connection: close Content-Length: 1107 the Connection header is "close" but I still cannot read the whole response. Any idea what do I do wrong?

  • Future of the SAP RFC SDK

    - by Elmex
Is the SAP RFC SDK (wdtfuncs.ocx, wdtlog.ocx respectively Interop.SAPFunctionsOCX.dll, Interop.SAPLogonCtrl.dll) an acceptable / recommended way to connect (Microsoft) applications via RFCs with SAP ? Will there be a support and maintenance of the SDK in the future (especially in ECC 6.0) ? Are there people who use these controls in .NET applications ?

  • Java getInputStream 400 errors

    - by Bill Szerdy
When I contact a web service using a Java HttpUrlConnection it just returns a 400 Bad Request (IOException). How do I get the XML information that the server is returning; it does not appear to be in the getErrorStream of the connection nor is it in any of the exception information. When I run the following PHP code against a web service: <?php $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, "https://www.myclientaddress.com/here/" ); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1 ); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST,1 ); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS,"username=ted&password=scheckler&type=consumer&id=123456789&zip=12345"); $result=curl_exec ($ch); echo $result; ?> it returns the following: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <response> <status>failure</status> <errors> <error name="RES_ZIP">Zip code is not valid.</error> <error name="ZIP">Invalid zip code for residence address.</error> </errors> </response> so I know the information exists

  • Is there any point in using a volatile long?

    - by Adamski
I occasionally use a volatile instance variable in cases where I have two threads reading from / writing to it and don't want the overhead (or potential deadlock risk) of taking out a lock; for example a timer thread periodically updating an int ID that is exposed as a getter on some class: public class MyClass { private volatile int id; public MyClass() { ScheduledExecutorService execService = Executors.newScheduledThreadPool(1); execService.scheduleAtFixedRate(new Runnable() { public void run() { ++id; } }, 0L, 30L, TimeUnit.SECONDS); } public int getId() { return id; } } My question: Given that the JLS only guarantees that 32-bit reads will be atomic is there any point in ever using a volatile long? (i.e. 64-bit). Caveat: Please do not reply saying that using volatile over synchronized is a case of pre-optimisation; I am well aware of how / when to use synchronized but there are cases where volatile is preferable. For example, when defining a Spring bean for use in a single-threaded application I tend to favour volatile instance variables, as there is no guarantee that the Spring context will initialise each bean's properties in the main thread.

  • what does calling ´this´ outside of a jquery plugin refer to

    - by Richard
Hi, I am using the liveTwitter plugin The problem is that I need to stop the plugin from hitting the Twitter api. According to the documentation I need to do this $("#tab1 .container_twitter_status").each(function(){ this.twitter.stop(); }); Already, the each does not make sense on an id and what does this refer to? Anyway, I get an undefined error. I will paste the plugin code and hope it makes sense to somebody MY only problem thusfar with this plugin is that I need to be able to stop it. thanks in advance, Richard /* * jQuery LiveTwitter 1.5.0 * - Live updating Twitter plugin for jQuery * * Copyright (c) 2009-2010 Inge Jørgensen (elektronaut.no) * Licensed under the MIT license (MIT-LICENSE.txt) * * $Date: 2010/05/30$ */ /* * Usage example: * $("#twitterSearch").liveTwitter('bacon', {limit: 10, rate: 15000}); */ (function($){ if(!$.fn.reverse){ $.fn.reverse = function() { return this.pushStack(this.get().reverse(), arguments); }; } $.fn.liveTwitter = function(query, options, callback){ var domNode = this; $(this).each(function(){ var settings = {}; // Handle changing of options if(this.twitter) { settings = jQuery.extend(this.twitter.settings, options); this.twitter.settings = settings; if(query) { this.twitter.query = query; } this.twitter.limit = settings.limit; this.twitter.mode = settings.mode; if(this.twitter.interval){ this.twitter.refresh(); } if(callback){ this.twitter.callback = callback; } // ..or create a new twitter object } else { // Extend settings with the defaults settings = jQuery.extend({ mode: 'search', // Mode, valid options are: 'search', 'user_timeline' rate: 15000, // Refresh rate in ms limit: 10, // Limit number of results refresh: true }, options); // Default setting for showAuthor if not provided if(typeof settings.showAuthor == "undefined"){ settings.showAuthor = (settings.mode == 'user_timeline') ? • Avoid richfaces to send back javascript libraries in the ajax responses

    - by pakore
I'm using JSF 1.2 with Richfaces, and for every ajax request, the server is sending back the response, whichi is good, but it also contains all the links to the javascript files. I want to improve the performance so I just want the <body> to be returned, because all the javascript files are already loaded in the browser when the user logs in (my app is not restful). How can i do that? Thanks This is an example of a response to reRender an image when clicking a button. <?xml version="1.0"?> <html lang="nl_NL" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><title></title><link • Binding PropertyName of CollectionViewSource SortDescription in Xaml

    - by Faisal
Here is my xaml that tells the collectionviewsource sort property name. <CollectionViewSource Source="{Binding Contacts}" x:Key="contactsCollection" Filter="CollectionViewSource_Filter"> <CollectionViewSource.SortDescriptions> <scm:SortDescription PropertyName="DisplayName" /> </CollectionViewSource.SortDescriptions> </CollectionViewSource> The xaml above works fine but problem I have is that I don't know how to give a variable value to SortDescription PropertyName. I have a property in my viewmodel that tells which property to sort on but I am not able to bind this property to SortDescription's PropertyName field. Is there any way?

  • Data Access from single table in sql server 2005 is too slow

    - by Muhammad Kashif Nadeem
Following is the script of table. Accessing data from this table is too slow. SET ANSI_NULLS ON GO SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON GO CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Emails]( [id] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, [datecreated] [datetime] NULL CONSTRAINT [DF_Emails_datecreated] DEFAULT (getdate()), [UID] [nvarchar](250) COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS NULL, [From] [nvarchar](100) COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS NULL, [To] [nvarchar](100) COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS NULL, [Subject] [nvarchar](max) COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS NULL, [Body] [nvarchar](max) COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS NULL, [HTML] [nvarchar](max) COLLATE Latin1_General_CI_AS NULL, [AttachmentCount] [int] NULL, [Dated] [datetime] NULL ) ON [PRIMARY] Following query takes 50 seconds to fetch data. select id, datecreated, UID, [From], [To], Subject, AttachmentCount, Dated from emails If I include Body and Html in select then time is event worse. indexes are on: id unique clustered From Non unique non clustered To Non unique non clustered Tabls has currently 180000+ records. There might be 100,000 records each month so this will become more slow as time will pass. Does splitting data into two table will solve the problem? What other indexes should be there?

  • compromised site

    - by pinniger
So, I have a web site that has been compromised twice in two weeks. every index.php and .js file gets a script injecting into the source code of the file. The problem is that I have no idea how they're doing it. I've seen this done via sql injection before, but I don't know how they are actually writing to the file. I've dug through the Apache logs but didn't find anything interesting. The site is built using the cakephp framework on a godaddy shared server. Anybody know what secturity settings or log files to check to see how they are doing this?

  • Removing extra commas in CSV without another data source

    - by fi-no
We have a large database with customer addresses that was exported from an SQL database to CSV. In the event that a company has a comma in their name, it (predictably) throws the whole database out of whack. Unfortunately, there are so many instances of this (and commas in the second address line) that the whole CSV (~100k rows) is a huge mess. The obvious fix is to export the data again in a different, non comma reliant format, but access to that SQL database is more or less impossible at the moment... I've tried a few tools and brainstormed about combining things to fix this, but I figured asking couldn't hurt. Thanks!

  • Which is the cheapest machine where I can run linux and plug in some webcams? (and with network inte

    - by marc.riera
I'm looking for a very cheap machine to run a linux distro for security(anti-thief) software. I would like to be able to connect to the network and a couple of webcams. May be ip-webcams or usb-webcams. The idea is having a machine with batteryes, laptop style, but there is no need to have a display/monitor attatched all the time. I'm planning to spend no more than 200$, in case it also gets stolen. Any advice on what to buy? (all modifications to this security plan are welcome) Thanks.
