    Note that you can specify a port number with "port=####", but this port number will be ignored if the host is localhost. If you want to connect to a local port other than the default, use host=127.0.0.1 instead of localhost. Quoted from this page,has anyone verified if it has been fixed?

  • Downloading image from Picasa Web Albums loses metadata

    I have several photos on my Picasa Web Albums account. I have added captions, tags and location information to many of them through the PWA web interface. I assumed that PWA was saving this information in an IPTC, or some other metadata tag inside the image, but whenever I go to 'Download Photo' (on a single image), the resulting image, when saved to my computer, has no tags whatsoever. Does anybody know why this is the case? Does PWA require Picasa to be installed to preserve this information?

  • Binding type variables that only occur in assertions

    Hi! I find it extremely difficult to describe my problem, so here goes nothing: I have a bunch of assertions on the type of a function. These assertions rely on a type variable that is not used for any parameter of the function, but is only used for internal bindings. Whenever I use this function it does not compile because, of course, the compiler has no information from which to guess what type to bind my type variable.   • How to send message from one dialog to another?

    Hi! I was given a task. First dialog based application has 4 buttons (up, down, left, right). Second dialog based application has two controls (e.g. text area, button). When on the first dialog I click "left" button - controls on the second dialog must move to the left. But unfortunately I don't know Win32 API at all. How can I implement it? What kind of Win32 API mechanism should I be using? Thanks.

  • Best practice stock management when payment of customer failed using SQL Server and ASP.NET

    Hi there, I am currently building a webshop for my own where I want to increment the product-stock when the user fails to complete payment within 10 minutes after the customer placed the order. I want to gather information from this thread to make a design decision. I am using SQL Server 2008 and ASP.NET 3.5. Should I use a SQL Server Job who intervals check the orders which are not payed yet or are there better solutions to do this. Thanks in advance! Martijn

  • Integrate Zend translator into my app

    Hello. I wish to use the Translator classes of Zend framework in my app, but I don't want to include the whole framework. I grabbed the: Locale folder Translate folder Exception.php Loader.php Locale.php Registry.php Translate.php and copied into a custom folder named zend.translator. Obviously I had to edit all them to adjust the includes to the new path... Is this the way to go? I'm worried to have to edit all those files every time a new version is released.

  • Label in PyQt4 GUI not updating with every loop of FOR loop

    I'm having a problem, where I wish to run several command line functions from a python program using a GUI. I don't know if my problem is specific to PyQt4 or if it has to do with my bad use of python code. What I wish to do is have a label on my GUI change its text value to inform the user which command is being executed. My problem however, arises when I run several commands using a for loop. I would like the label to update itself with every loop, however, the program is not updating the GUI label with every loop, instead, it only updates itself once the entire loop is completed, and displays only the last command that was executed. I am using PyQt4 for my GUI environment. And I have established that the text variable for the label is indeed being updated with every loop, but, it is not actually showing up visually in the GUI. Is there a way for me to force the label to update itself? I have tried the update() and repaint() methods within the loop, but they don't make any difference. I would really appreciate any help.     Suppose I have the following expressions: Expression<Action<T, StringBuilder>> expr1 = (t, sb) => sb.Append(t.Name); Expression<Action<T, StringBuilder>> expr2 = (t, sb) => sb.Append(", "); Expression<Action<T, StringBuilder>> expr3 = (t, sb) => sb.Append(t.Description); I'd like to be able to compile these into a method/delegate equivalent to the following: void Method(T t, StringBuilder sb) { sb.Append(t.Name); sb.Append(", "); sb.Append(t.Description); } What is the best way to approach this? I'd like it to perform well, ideally with performance equivalent to the above method. UPDATE So, whilst it appears that there is no way to do this directly in C#3 is there a way to convert an expression to IL so that I can use it with System.Reflection.Emit?

  • problem in showing and hiding dialog boxes in MFC

    Hello all, I am trying to create a wizard like structure using dialog boxes...So I replaced the code in CDialog1App as below CDialog1Dlg* dlg = new CDialog1Dlg; m_pMainWnd = dlg; dlg->Create(IDD_DIALOG1); dlg->ShowWindow(SW_SHOW); the above worked fine...its displying the dialog box.but I have added another dialog box... So in the first dialog box if the user clicks Next it has to hide the first dialog box and display the second dialog.. //CDialog1 class void CDialog1Dlg::OnBnClickedNext() { // TODO: Add your control notification handler code here CDialog2* dialog2 = new CDialog2(); dialog2->Create(IDD_DIALOG2); dialog2->ShowWindow(SW_SHOW); this->ShowWindow(SW_HIDE); } in the above code am creating an object for the Dialog2 class and trying to show that.... Now the problem is,when I click next its hiding both the windows..What can I do..I tried several types but its still its not workin..Please dont suggest me to do with PropertySheet..It will work with that, i know ...but I want this using Dialog Box for some reason

  • remove/ignore float from outer div

    This may sound weird but i have some css which aligns mys divs. In one place i also use http://www.brunildo.org/test/img_center.html which centers images. Now i want my divs inside a larger div to go to another line if this one gets full. float: left seems to be the answer. The problem is it ruins my formatting. Including solution in the above link. I have this test code. If i remove the width and float it looks fine except it may take up too much space and not go to another line. I was thinking i could use float on an outerdiv and center the image within. However float: left is still breaking it.   • WEP key not working on laptop running Ubuntu

    I can't connect to my router via wifi from my laptop (running Ubuntu) even if I'm 100% sure the WEP key I punch in is correct. It works via LAN though. I'm also not able to ping localhost 127.0.0.1. I had some problems setting up the radio on my network card but I think that that works since it finds some wireless networks. (Although it's much much faster than Windows it's useless since I can't download any libraries for development.) What could be wrong with my setup?

  • Best way to deploy VB.NET Code / create an assembly on a SQLServer

    I've created some functions / procedures with VB.NET and want to deploy them to a SQLServer. Within Visual Studio you can click right and select "deploy". An assembly will be created on the server and a lot of functions and procedures. It's really easy. Now I want to script the whole deployment process. What is Visual Studio doing when I make a deployment? Can Visual Studio autoscript all the deployment steps for me? Can I save it to a file and execute it manually?
