    Hello, I want to create a footer like facebook, that sticks at the bottom of the page, irrespective of the scroll. <div id="footer"></div> and here is the css style #footer{ position:absolute; left:0px; margin-bottom:0px; vertical-align:bottom; bottom:0px; width:100%; height:25px; background-color:#dfd5d7; overflow:hidden; } It comes fine, when I resize the browser window it does not stick to the bottom but a about 50 pixels up.   • HTTPS connection in BlackBerry Java Midlet

    My Java ME Midlet works fine on Java phones and the BlackBerry simulator, but I can't receive a connection on a BlackBerry. I see a message that asks for permissions to connect, but when I select yes, it doesn't connect. I even checked on the server, but no connection was provided. My application isn't signed. Does anyone know why this might be failing?

  • vlc python bindings - how to receive keyboard input?

    I'm trying to use VLC's python bindings to create my own little video player. The demo implementation is quite simple and nice, but it requires all the keyboard commands to be typed into the console from which the script was run. Is there any way I can handle keyboard input also when the video player itself has focus? Specifically, I care about controlling the video while in fullscreen mode. Perhaps there's a way to keep the keyboard focus in the console (or maybe another window) while showing the video? I'm using Windows XP, if that has any relevance.

  • This program has stopped working

    In a visual C++ mfc program, which I run on Wondows 7, I always get the error message This Program Has Stopped Working after I close the main dialog/exit the application. But it doesn't happen in Windows XP. Can anyone explain what the matter is and how to solve it? Thanks a lot.

  • NSView -(void)keyDown in console program

    I'm not getting the -(void)keyDown callback on my inherited NSOpenGLView (note that mouseMoved does not work either though I do setAcceptsMouseMovedEvents:YES, but that is not an issue yet). It implements - (BOOL)acceptsFirstResponder { return YES; } but still no luck. My knowledgeable friend implied that it might have something to do with that the application is still a console application and not a bundled .app (I'm currently porting it). If so: is there some way to circumvent? Could the cause be something else? When I terminate my console application, I frequently see all my keypresses go to stdout so it does seem reasonable...

    I am trying to output a document that looks like this. http://pastebin.com/dpBAY8Sb my issue is that I cannot find how to format the output I have to have a floating poing and format the distance between columns.   • Webmin ADSL module

    I was wondering if the Webmin ADSL module is going to help me solve a problem .... but I cannot find any documentation telling me what the module does ..... Any ideas? What I am hoping is that it will solve a problem .... I am just in the process of setting up a Debian server. I will use the DHCP server as part of the Debian setup to manage the lan IP addresses. I want to turn off the external DHCP server which is part of the Linksys ADSL modem / router and use just the modem. The challenge I have is knowing what I need to do in order to get the public DNS on the eth1. When I turn off the DHCP on the modem / router not a lot happens apart from no longer being able to access the settings .......... So I am looking at this Webmin module and wondering if it is to manage the ADSL connection and find the public DNS address .... The local DHCP server is working well for the lan, I am just stuck for the external DNS.

  • Why do scrollbars stop working when the mouse is too far away?

    Dragging a (Windows) scrollbar only works as long as the cursor is not too far away from the scrollbar itself. How can I 'fix' this bevaviour? Is there some kind of threshold in the registry? Tip: to see this behavior: click on a scrollbar (dont' release the mouse button) and move up/down. This works, as long as you don't move too much to the left.

  • How can you centre an image within the image control in SQL Server Reporting Services 2008?

    I have got an image in an image control on a report in SSRS 2008. The image is coming from an external source, and varies in width. I would like to centre the image within the control, but the image control does not have an equivalent of the text box's TextAlign property to allow right/left/center alignment to be done automatically. I have seen methods to dynamically calculate the amount of left padding as a hack to solve this, http://blogs.msdn.com/chrishays/archive/2004/10/27/CenteredImages.aspx, but the solution gives an error in SSRS 2008, perhaps not surprising given the age of the article. Has anybody got a solution to this for SSRS 2008?

  • How to listen for AffectsParentArrange events when you're not the parent

    There is an attribute "AffectsParentArrange" that implicitly invalidates the parent's layout - but I want to attach an event handler to the "event" triggered by that attribute. When a child property with the attribute changes, the parent's arrangement is invalidated. I have a custom control (which is not the immediate parent) that needs to receive an event. Does anyone know of an event that can be used here? Do I need to provide a custom parent that overrides a method and fires an event?

  • Have loaded a php variable into flash but cant apply it in a function...

    hi I have created an actionscript function which stops an animation on a specific frame which works fine. I have then loaded in a php file with a variable which will contain the number for the frame i want the animation to stop on.     In relation to this question, I was wondering if anyone knows a javascript code snippet/library to convert a single doxygen comment to HTML? For example, /** This is a comment block * * \b bold text * \i italic text */ would be converted to something like: <p>This is a comment block</p> <p><b>bold</b> text</p> <p><i>italic</i> text</p> Similar for all the other formatting related tags of doxygen. I've found this already, which seems to be a good starting point if I have to implement it myself, but possibly I'm missing a complete project :-) So, suggestions welcome!

  • two log4j files for EAR with two modules

    Hi, I have an EAR that is made up of two modules. Both expose services and share common code. Imagine that the ear has a common.jar shared by a webservices.war and webapp.war. I use log4j to log the activities. I would like to be able to have two log files (webservices.log and webapp.log) capturing the events that are specific to each of them plus all the stuff that is handled by the common.jar. How should I configure my categories and my appenders to achieve this? At the moment I have the following packages: com.myapp for shared stuff com.myapp.webservices for the webservices and com.myapp.webapp for the webapp. My problem is that I don't know how I can capture the com.myapp (common stuff) in both log files by using a single log4j configuration file. I have tried setting up multiple configuration files but when JBoss would work OK Websphere would break and the other way round... Thank you

Although it has not been proved yet (Collatz Problem), it is thought that all starting numbers finish at 1. Which starting number, under one million, produces the longest chain? NOTE: Once the chain starts the terms are allowed to go above one million. I tried coding a solution to this in C using the bruteforce method. However, it seems that my program stalls when trying to calculate 113383.
