  • Static libraries, dynamic libraries, DLLs, entry points, headers ... how to get out of this alive?

    Hello, I recently had to program C++ under Windows for an University project, and I'm pretty confused about static and dynamic libraries system, what the compiler needs, what the linker needs, how to build a library ... is there any good document about this out there? I'm pretty confused about the *nix library system as well (so, dylibs, the ar tool, how to compile them ...), can you point a review document about the current library techniques on the various architectures? Note: due to my poor knowledge this message could contain wrong concepts, feel free to edit it. Thank you Feel free to add more reference, I will add them to the summary.   • OraOps10.dll loading problem

    Hello, I have ASP.NET web service built on windows 7 in 32 bit. All dependences of this service compiled in Release mode in x64 bit. Now, I'm installed it on windows 8 64 bit and when I'm access to this service I get error "Could not load OraOps10.dll". I doesn't succeed to find any thing about this problem with oracle client in context of x32-x64 bit incompatibility in internet. Have you any idea? Thank you very much.

    Hello all, I am trying to make a button that response to single and double tap. I am trying to do this using myAction method. The problem is that first time when I press the button the method myAction isn't called.   • GWT Post build command in Eclipse

    I am starting getting used to Eclipse, but I have much more experience with Visual Studio. In Visual Studio it is possible to run auto commands after the build has finished. Now I am creating a GWT project and several other projects at once in one solution (or workspace) in Eclipse. Some files which are compiled with the GWT project needs to be copied to another location when they have been compiled. I am currently doing this manually and would like to do it automatically. I am not doing it often, since the project works fine in debug mode (...?gwt.codesvr=localhost:9997). But where is the location for executing a post build command for a GWT project in eclipse? Is it possible?

  • Match multiple terms within <body> tags

    I've want to match any occurrence of a search term (or list of search terms) within the tags of a document. My current solution uses preg (within a Joomla plugin) $pattern = '/matchthisterm/i'; $article->text = preg_replace($pattern,"<span class=\"highlight\">\\0</span>",$article->text); But this replaces everything within the HTML of the document so I need to match the tags first. Is this even the best way to achieve this?

  • Is there a way to use template specialization to separate new from new[]?

    I have an auto pointer class and in the constructor I am passing in a pointer. I want to be able to separate new from new[] in the constructor so that I can properly call delete or delete[] in the destructor. Can this be done through template specialization?   • iphone sdk - why is the video returned not full res?

    im developing an app for the iphone and im able to get a video using a UIImagePickerController the problem is that the video thats returned by the UIImagePickerControllerMediaURL is not full resoultion -- its only 480 x 360 as opposed to 640 x 480 like the videos that sync to my itunes. -please someone tell me this is not a limitation of the current sdk? - how can i work around it and is there a way to set the uiimage picker so its taking full res video?

    I'd like to have my desktop Java application to have single sign on related to Active Directory users. In two steps, I'd like to : Be sure that the particular user has logged in to Windows with some user entry. Check out some setup information for that user from the Active Directory With http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31394/java-programatic-way-to-determine-current-windows-user I can get the name of the current Windows user but can I rely to that? I think the System.getProperty("user.name") won't be secure enough? ("user.name" seems to be got from environment variables, so I can't rely on that, I think?) Question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/390150/authenticating-against-active-directory-with-java-on-linux provides me the authentication for given name+pass but I'd like to authenticate based on the Windows logon? For the Active Directory access, the LDAP would probably be the choise? I'm not totally sure if I'm asking the right questions but hopefully somebody has some ideas to forward me on.
