    Hi, How to use junit to run concurrency test? Let's say I have a class public class MessageBoard { public synchronized void postMessage(String message) { .... } public void updateMessage(Long id, String message) { .... } } I wan to test multiple access to this postMessage concurrently.   • Pop3 to SMTP message custom forwarder in C#

    I'd like to write a service that periodically checks a POP3 account for new messages and based on custom business logic forwards the messages to an appropriate "To", and possibly changes the "From" as well. I might need to keep some messages on the server until certain conditions are ready for them to be forwarded.     I am using an LGPL library in my code. For my needs, I need to modify the code in the library. How do I mark the jar file that it contains modified code? Some txt file in the jar? In that case, what do I write in the txt file? I will include in the license agreement that we are distributing a modified version of the jar, but my question is about marking the jar itself.

  • NSMutableUrlRequest eats plus signs

    I create NSMutableUrlRequest for sending data to server, add all necessary fields to it and then add the string for sending like this: [theRequest setHTTPBody:[postString dataUsingEncoding: NSUTF8StringEncoding]]; postString is a usual NSString. The problem is, when I receive this request at the server, all the plus (+) signs disappear from the http body. So if I had "abcde+fghj" on iPhone, I get "abcde fghj" on the server". Can this be some encoding problem from using dataUsingEncoding: NSUTF8StringEncoding? Or some NSMutableUrlRequest stripping feature? What can I do to make it stop stripping plus signs? I need to receive UTF8 strings at the server side.

  • Sql Server 2005 Database Tables - Row Comparison Column By Column.

    Scenario I have an TWO datbase tables of exactly the SAME STRUCTURE. The difference between these tables is that one contains data populated by one application and the other is populated by a different application. Each application is trying to produce the same result, but using two different methods of implementation. Proposed Idea What I want to do, is run both applications, which will roughly produce 35000 rows containing 10 columns each - So all in all, 70000 rows of data, I then want to compare each row of data, COLUMN BY COLUMN to check whether the values are the same or not. Current Thoughts Since there is so much data to compare, I feel that the best way in which to do this would be to write an application, preferably in C# (but if necessary, T-sql), to compare each row of data column by column, and write out any failed comparisons to a text log file. Question Could anybody suggest an efficient way in which to perform column by column row comparison for 70000 rows worth of data? I'm struggling for ideas on how to tackle this problem. Extra Detail The two applications are both written in C# .Net 3.5. The Database is running on Sql Server 2005. Help greatly appreciated.

  • best way to set up a VM for development (regarding performance)

    I am trying to set up a clean vm I will use in many of my devs. Hopefully I will use it many times and for a long time, so I want to get it right and set it up so performance is as good as possible. I have searched for a list of things to do, but strangely found only older posts, and none here. My requirements are: My host is Vista 32b, and guest is Windows2008 64b, using Vmware Workstation. The VM should also be able to run on a Vmware ESX I cannot move to other products (VirtualBox etc), but info about performance of each one is welcomed for reference. Anyway I guess most advices would apply to other OSs and other VM products. I need network connectivity to my LAN Guest will run many java processes, a DB and perform lots of file I/O What I have found so far is: HOWTO: Squeeze Every Last Drop of Performance Out of Your Virtual PCs: it's and old post, and about Virtual PC, but I guess most things still apply (and also apply to vmware). I guess it makes a difference to disable all unnecessary services, but the ones mentioned in 1 seem like too few, I specifically always disable Windows Search. Any other service I should disable?

  • "preprocess current file" addin for Visual Studio? (C++ )

    I realize that Visual Studio has the "/P" option to generate preprocessed files, but it's extremely inconvenient. I'm looking for an addin that allows you to right-click on a file and select "view preprocessed" - or any similar solution that would basically preprocess the currently-open file (with the appropriate options from the current configuration) and show me the output, with no extra hassle. Does such a thing exist?
