  • Issues with FTP on my server

    I installed FTP on my windows 2003 box I created a FTP site on a ipaddress, I am not allowing anonymous access. I created a user that has access to the folder c:\ftptest connecting to my server using filezilla shows: connectiong to -0.0.0.0 connection established, waiting for welcome message could not connect to server I tried both active and passive modes. The port on the server is open i.e. TCP 21 I can connect to other FTP sites so my locla firewall isnt' the issue. (now I know why sys admin work is so fun!)

  • ZigBee Maximum Bandwidth

    What is the maximum rated bandwidth for ZigBee? I can't seem to find this information anywhere, not even on the ZigBee Alliance website at http://www.zigbee.org/ I did find some information elsewhere, but it dated back to 2004, so I'm guessing it's different now that it was 5 years ago.   • Making Thunderbird leave messages on server

    When I setup my GMail account with Thunderbird years ago, it had a specific option for GMail. I choose it and everything worked fine and dandy. However, whenever Thunderbird checks the mail for me, it moves my mail from the inbox (on GMail) to the "All Mail" folder. How can I prevent it from doing this?

  • C# Application process hangs after some time

    Hi, I implemented a simple C# application which inserts about 350000 records into the database. This used to work well and the process took approximately 20 minutes. I created a progress bar which lets you know approximately the progress of the records insertion. When the progress bar reaches about 75% it stops progressing. I have to manually terminate the program as the process doesn't seem to complete. If I use less data (like 10000), the progress bar finishes and the process is completed. However when I try to insert all the records, this won't happen any more. Note that if I wait longer to terminate the program manually, more records would have been inserted. For example, if I terminate the program after 15 minutes, 200000 records are inserted, whereas if I terminate the program after 20 minutes, 250000 records are inserted. This program is using a single thread. In face I can't do anything else until the process is complete. Does this have anything to do with threading or processes? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • gcov merge mismatch for summaries

    Can anyone tell me what the gcov message "Merge mismatch for summaries" means. I have found the message in the gcc source here: http://www.opensource.apple.com/source/gcc/gcc-5646/gcc/libgcov.c It seems to be a sanity check that the tags in the .gcda files match but I'm not sure.     I need to create a schema for an XML file that is pretty flexible. It has to meet the following requirements: Validate some elements that we require to be present, and know the exact structure of Validate some elements that are optional, and we know the exact structure of Allow any other elements Allow them in any order Quick example: XML <person> <age></age> <lastname></lastname> <height></height> </person> My attempt at an XSD: <xs:schema attributeFormDefault="unqualified" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <xs:element name="person"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="firstname" minOccurs="0" type="xs:string"/> <xs:element name="lastname" type="xs:string"/> <xs:any processContents="lax" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" /> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:schema> Now my XSD satisfies requirements 1 and 3. It is not a valid schema however, if both firstname and lastname were optional, so it doesn't satisfy requirement 2, and the order is fixed, which fails requirement 4. Now all I need is something to validate my XML. I'm open to suggestions on any way of doing this, either programmatically in .NET 3.5, another type of schema etc. Can anyone think of a solution to satisfy all 4 requirements?

    In my javascript file there is, var htm = '<div style="overflow:hidden;height:24px;width:150px;" onmouseover="tooltip(this)">' ; function tooltip(sp) { sp.title = sp.innerHTML; } So on mouse over a text the tooltip is displayed.But the tool tip does not stay longer. meaning the position is not fixed. Can the code be modified such that mouse over should be done on the text and the tool tip also........

  • Recommendations of a high volume log event viewer in a Java enviroment

    I am in a situation where I would like to accept a LOT of log events controlled by me - notably the logging agent I am preparing for slf4j - and then analyze them interactively. I am not as such interested in a facility that presents formatted log files, but one that can accept log events as objects and allow me to sort and display on e.g. threads and timelines etc. Chainsaw could maybe be an option but is currently not compatible with logback which I use for technical reasons. Is there any project with stand alone viewers or embedded in an IDE which would be suitable for this kind of log handling. I am aware that I am approaching what might be suitable for a profiler, so if there is a profiler projekt suitable for this kind of data acquisition and display where I can feed the event pipe, I would like to hear about it). Thanks for all feedback Update 2009-03-19: I have found that there is not a log viewer which allows me to see what I would like (a visual display of events with coordinates determined by day and time, etc), so I have decided to create a very terse XML format derived from the log4j XMLLayout adapted to be as readable as possible while still being valid XML-snippets, and then use the Microsoft LogParser to extract the information I need for postprocessing in other tools.

  • SSL_accept hangs... sometimes ( C, linux, openssl )

    I'm currently working on an embedded linux system. There are two crucial client applications on the system that connect to an external server ( on another embedded system, all written in C ). The two apps use different certificates. The ssl connection works... At least usually, but from time to time an error occures: the server hangs on SSL_accept() when accepting connection from one of the applications - the one using older certificates. Restarting the server application does not help, nor does restarting the client - the only way is to reboot the server system, unless I create a symbilic link to the new certificates used by the other app - only then will restarting the server app work. Never does the error occur when both applications use the same, new certificate. Could this happen due to some strange openssl cache or something like that?

  • problems calling webservices through the https connection

  • How to render consistence and smooth moving animation on iphone / ipod / iphone simulator.

    I am trying render a simple animation(object movement animations) on iphone. I used opengl for object rendering. Movements appears to be smooth on the simulator. But if I used same code in the ipod, object movement is slower. In the iphone it is still slower. I googled a bit and found 'frame rate independent rendering method', which taught me the concept of 'time interval' and object movement based on it. However result is very unpleasant. There is a lot of jerk in the animation even when fps remains above 20. Following code fragment is used for calculation of time interval between successive frames and I am using that to move my animation.     Hi, I am quite new to Open Inventor(Coin3D) and have the following problem: I have a SoSelection holding a root node(also SoSeparator). And the root node holds a number of SoSeparator nodes. Each of these SoSeparator nodes holds a SoTransform node and a SoCube node. When I select one cube node I want all other cubes within a certain distance to the selected cube to arrange in a circle arround the selected cube. (Moreover all of the cubes should be on a plane than) An additional information: My cubes are always oriented in the camera direction with (cubeTransform_-rotation.connectFrom(&camera_-orientation) Assuming the selected cube is the center of the circle, how do I translate the other cubes in a circle on a plane(perpendicular to the vector between the selected cube and the camera)? Especially how do I find coordinates on the plain on which the circle should be which have a certain distance from the Axis (from center cube to camera). What I already did is to search for the for all cubes within a certain distance as soon as one cube is selected. As a result I already have the required separators (which are holding the according SoTransforms and SoCubes) in a SoPathList. Now I want to arrange the cubes by modifing the according SoTransform-translation values. Regards Mark
