  • Call Webservice without adding a WebReference - with Complex Types

    - by ck
I'm using the code at This Site to call a webservice dynamically. [SecurityPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction.Demand, Unrestricted = true)] public static object CallWebService(string webServiceAsmxUrl, string serviceName, string methodName, object[] args) { System.Net.WebClient client = new System.Net.WebClient(); //-Connect To the web service using (System.IO.Stream stream = client.OpenRead(webServiceAsmxUrl + "?wsdl")) { //--Now read the WSDL file describing a service. ServiceDescription description = ServiceDescription.Read(stream); ///// LOAD THE DOM ///////// //--Initialize a service description importer. ServiceDescriptionImporter importer = new ServiceDescriptionImporter(); importer.ProtocolName = "Soap12"; // Use SOAP 1.2. importer.AddServiceDescription(description, null, null); //--Generate a proxy client. importer.Style = ServiceDescriptionImportStyle.Client; //--Generate properties to represent primitive values. importer.CodeGenerationOptions = System.Xml.Serialization.CodeGenerationOptions.GenerateProperties; //--Initialize a Code-DOM tree into which we will import the service. CodeNamespace nmspace = new CodeNamespace(); CodeCompileUnit unit1 = new CodeCompileUnit(); unit1.Namespaces.Add(nmspace); //--Import the service into the Code-DOM tree. This creates proxy code //--that uses the service. ServiceDescriptionImportWarnings warning = importer.Import(nmspace, unit1); if (warning == 0) //--If zero then we are good to go { //--Generate the proxy code CodeDomProvider provider1 = CodeDomProvider.CreateProvider("CSharp"); //--Compile the assembly proxy with the appropriate references string[] assemblyReferences = new string[5] { "System.dll", "System.Web.Services.dll", "System.Web.dll", "System.Xml.dll", "System.Data.dll" }; CompilerParameters parms = new CompilerParameters(assemblyReferences); CompilerResults results = provider1.CompileAssemblyFromDom(parms, unit1); //-Check For Errors if (results.Errors.Count > 0) { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); foreach (CompilerError oops in results.Errors) { sb.AppendLine("========Compiler error============"); sb.AppendLine(oops.ErrorText); } throw new System.ApplicationException("Compile Error Occured calling webservice. • Windows loader problem - turn on verbose mode

    - by doobop
Hi, I'm in the process of reorganizing some of the legacy libraries in our application which has unmanaged code calling into libraries of managed code. While I have the code reorganized, it produces the following loader error: ... 'app.exe': Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\CsDisp.dll' 'app.exe': Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\psapi.dll' 'app.exe': Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll' 'app.exe': Loaded 'C:\appCode\Debug\daq206_32.dll', Binary was not built with debug information. 'app.exe': Loaded 'C:\appCode\Debug\SiUSBXp.dll', Binary was not built with debug information. 'app.exe': Loaded 'C:\appCode\Debug\AdlinkDAQ.dll', Symbols loaded. 'app.exe': Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\P9842.dll', Binary was not built with debug information. LDR: LdrRelocateImageWithBias() failed 0xc0000018 LDR: OldBase : 10000000 LDR: NewBase : 00A80000 LDR: Diff : 0x7c90d6fa0012f6cc LDR: NextOffset : 00000000 LDR: *NextOffset : 0x0 LDR: SizeOfBlock : 0xa80000 Debugger:: An unhandled non-continuable exception was thrown during process load I believe 0xc0000018 error is an overlapping address range. So, I have two questions. First, what linker options may cause this error? I'm currently linking with /DYNAMICBASE:NO and /FIXED:No as this was how some of the previous libraries were set up. Second, is there a way to turn on verbose mode for the loader so I can see what exactly it's trying to load? P9842 is a third party library so I imagine it is getting to one of my libraries after P9842 and failing on that one. Can I narrow it down? Thanks.

  • Rendering 'belongs_to" in index view question - Ruby on Rails

    - by bgadoci
    I have created a simple blog application with Ruby on Rails. The applications consists of two tables, posts and comments. Comments belongs_to :post and posts has_many :comments. I created posts table with the following columns: title:string, body:text. I created the comments table with the following columns: body:text post_id:integer name:string email:string In the /views/comments/index.html.erb display I would like to show a listing of all comments w/ the post title as well. Currently, the index view only displays post_id, body, name, email. How do I replace the post_id column with the corresponding post title? Here is my code: CommentsController Index action: def index @comments = Comment.all :order => "created_at DESC" respond_to do |format| format.html # index.html.erb format.xml { render :xml => @comments } format.json { render :json => @comments } format.atom end end /views/comments/index.html.erb <h1>Listing comments</h1> <table> <tr> <th>Post</th> <th>Body</th> </tr> <% @comments.each do |comment| %> <tr> <td><%=h comment.post_id %></td> <td><%=h comment.body %></td> <td><%=h comment.name %></td> <td><%=h comment.email %></td> </tr> <% end %> </table> <br />

  • How to customize the content of each page using Page Control and UIScrollView?

    - by viper15
I have problem with customizing each page using pagecontrol and UIScrollView. I'm customizing Page Control from Apple. Basically I would like to have each page different with text and image alternately on different page. Page 1 will have all text, Page 2 will have just images, Page 3 will have all text and goes on. This is original code: // Set the label and background color when the view has finished loading. - (void)viewDidLoad { pageNumberLabel.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"Page %d", pageNumber + 1]; self.view.backgroundColor = [MyViewController pageControlColorWithIndex:pageNumber]; } As you can see, this code shows only Page 1, Page 2 etc as you scroll right. I tried to put in this new code but that didn't make any difference. There's no error. I know this is pretty simple code. I don't why it doesn't work. I declare pageText as UILabel. // Set the label and background color when the view has finished loading. - (void)viewDidLoad { pageNumberLabel.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"Page %d", pageNumber + 1]; self.view.backgroundColor = [MyViewController pageControlColorWithIndex:pageNumber]; if (pageNumber == 1) { pageText.text = @"Text in page 1"; } if (pageNumber == 2) { pageText.text = @"Image in page 2"; } if (pageNumber == 3) { pageText.text = @"Text in page 3"; } } I don't know why it doesn't work. Also if you have better way to do it, let me know. Thanks.

  • iptables : how to allow incoming ftp traffic?

    - by logansama
Hi, Still fighting my way through the jungle that is called iptables. I have managed to allow FTP access outside of our LAN: both these would work. NOTE: eth0 is the LAN interface and eth1 is the WAN interface. iptables -t filter -A FORWARD -i eth0 -p tcp --dport 20:21 -j ACCEPT or iptables -A FORWARD -i eth0 -o eth1 -p tcp --sport 20:21 --dport 1024:65535 -j ACCEPT But when i connect to a external FTP server i manage to log in and all is fine until it wishes to List the directory content. Then nothing happens as the data is blocked, due to the fact that i do not have a rule set up to allow it! (my last rule on the FORWARD chain is to block all traffic) I have tried a gazillion rules (many of which i did not understand) to try and allow the FTP traffic back through my server. One such rule for example was: iptables -A FORWARD -i eth1 -o eth0 -p tcp --sport 20:21 --dport 1024:65535 -j ACCEPT But i cannot get the List to work. It just times out after a while. Would anyone perhaps know how to build a rule which would allow FTP to List / allow such traffic back? Or have a link to sources i could work through? Thank you,

  • How to specify the order of XmlAttributes, using XmlSerializer

    - by demoncodemonkey
XmlElement has an "Order" attribute which you can use to specify the precise order of your properties (in relation to each other anyway) when serializing using XmlSerializer. Is there a similar thing for XmlAttribute? I just want to set the order of the attributes from something like <MyType end="bob" start="joe" /> to <MyType start="joe" end="bob" /> This is just for readability, my own benefit really.

  • How do I access a tomcat 5.5 installation via localhost running on Virtual PC 2007?

    - by MetroidFan2002
I have a tomcat installation of 5.5 up and running on a Virtual PC with a fresh XP pro SP3. Launching tomcat gives the standard messages: INFO: Find registry server-registry.xml at classpath resource Apr 12, 2010 11:43:44 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina start INFO: Server startup in 3576 ms However, I cannot for the life of me connect to http://localhost:8080. I've also tried http://127.0.0.1:8080 with no success. This is on the virtual PC itself that I cannot connect to the server - I haven't bothered to try it on the host machine. Can anyone provide any information on why this may be happening? It's a fresh install of tomcat using Sun's JRE 5.0 (I know, EOL, technical requirements make me have to use 5.0 and not a newer JRE).

  • in java, which is better - three arrays of booleans or 1 array of bytes?

    - by joe_shmoe
I know the question sounds silly, but consider this: I have an array of items and a labelling algorithm. at any point the item is in one of three states. The current version holds these states in a byte array, where 0, 1 and 2 represent the three states. alternatively, I could have three arrays of boolean - one for each state. which is better (consumes less memory) depends on how jvm (sun's version) stores the arrays - is a boolean represented by 1 bit? (p.s. don't start with all that "this is not the way OO/Java works" - I know, but here performance comes in front. plus the algorithm is simple and perfectly readable even in such form). Thanks a lot

  • LB_SETTABSTOPS does not appear to affect a CheckedListBox

    - by BP
I am trying to set tab stops in a CheckedListBox in my WinForms application, but no matter what I do, it does not seem to have any effect. I have the following in the code for my form: <DllImport("user32.dll")> _ Public Sub SendMessage(ByVal hWnd As IntPtr, ByVal uMsg As Int32, ByVal wParam As Int32, ByRef lParam As Int32) End Sub Public Const LB_SETTABSTOPS As Int32 = &H192 And in the form's load method, I am doing the following, where theList is my CheckedListBox: Dim tabStops() As Integer = {40, 140, 240} Call SendMessage(theList.Handle, LB_SETTABSTOPS, tabStops.Length, tabStops(0)) theList.Refresh() And then later on, I use this in a loop, where col1 through col4 are all string values for the columns: theList.Items.Add(col1 & vbTab & col2 & vbTab & col3 & vbTab & col4) But no matter what I use for the values of tabStops, the list is formatted with standard width tab stops.

  • Need help with Layouts in Swing

    - by Malki
Hi, I'm using Java Swing and I have the following problem: I have a class TnaiPanel that extends JPanel. In this class I am creating 3 components and then lay them out in a horizontal line using a BoxLayout. Also, I have a class TnaimDinamimPanel that also extends JPanel. This class contains multiple occurances of TnaiPanel, layed out vertically using a BoxLayout. Also, I have a class MainFrame that extends JFrame. This frame contains a menu-bar and one main panel. The main panel can change (when choosing a certain menu-item, I create a new panel and set it to show as the main panel of the frame). Now, for some reason I get "BoxLayout can't be shared" when I add the newly created TnaimDinamimPanel to the components of the frame. I don't mind using different layout objects. The result I want to get is a sort of "table" of components, where each TnaiPanel will have fixed component sizes and spacing, essentially serving the role os a "row" in the "table". Thanks, Malki.

  • What can I access in Androids Native libraries? And How?

    - by Donal Rafferty
I am completely new to the NDK. I have done a couple of the tutorials including the hello from jni one and another one that calculates the sum of two numbers. They involved using cygwin and the ndk to create the library so file and I have a bit of a grasp on how to insert my own libraries into the libraries layer of Android. I have now been asked to access the native libraries on Android and see what I can use them for. My question is can I do this? The STABLE-APIS.txt document is a bit vague and mentions the following as Stable C++ API's in Android 1.5 cstddef new utility stl_pair.h Does that mean I can access them? If so then how do I go about it? I dont think that following the tutorials I have already done would be any help? Any pointers on how to do this or links to tutorials etc.. would be greatly appreciated
