  • How can one close html tags in vim quickly

    - by wds
It's been a while since I've had to do any html-like code in vim, but recently I came across this again. Say I'm doing a simple bit of a html page: <html><head><title>This is a title</title></head></html> How do I write those closing tags for title, head and html down quickly? I feel like I'm missing some really simple way here that does not involve me going through writing them all down one by one. Of course I can use ^P to autocomplete the individual tag names but what gets me on my laptop keyboard is actually getting the brackets and slash right.

  • How to add a WHERE clause on the second table of a 1-to-1 join in Fluent NHibernate?

    - by daddywoodland
I'm using a legacy database that was 'future proofed' to keep track of historical changes. It turns out this feature is never used so I want to map the tables into a single entity. My tables are: CodesHistory (CodesHistoryID (pk), CodeID (fk), Text) Codes (CodeID (pk), CodeName) To add an additional level of complexity, these tables hold the content for the drop down lists throughout the application. So, I'm trying to map a Title entity (Mr, Mrs etc.) as follows: Title ClassMap - Public Sub New() Table("CodesHistory") Id(Function(x) x.TitleID, "CodesHistoryID") Map(Function(x) x.Text) 'Call into the other half of the 1-2-1 join in order to merge them in 'this single domain object Join("Codes", AddressOf AddTitleDetailData) Where("CodeName like 'C.Title.%'") End Sub ' Method to merge two tables with a 1-2-1 join into a single entity in VB.Net Public Sub AddTitleDetailData(ByVal m As JoinPart(Of Title)) m.KeyColumn("CodeID") m.Map(Function(x) x.CodeName) End Sub From the above, you can see that my 'CodeName' field represents the select list in question (C.Title, C.Age etc). The problem is that the WHERE clause only applies to the 'CodesHistory' table but the 'CodeName' field is in the 'Codes' table. As I'm sure you can guess there's no scope to change the database. Is it possible to apply the WHERE clause to the Codes table?

  • Json to treeview (<ul>)

    - by Pieter
Hi I get the following data back from my WCF Data Service (I cut out the metadata) { "d" : [ {"CodeId": 6, "Title": "A Child Sub Item", "Parent":}, {"CodeId": 5, "Title": "Another Root Item", "Parent": -1}, {"CodeId": 4, "Title": "Child Item", "Parent": 2}, {"CodeId": 2, "Title": "Root Item", "Parent": -1} ] } I am trying to get this into a <ul> style tree with Parent = -1 as root and then the rest as sub items of their parent id's. Can anyone help me please, preferably in jQuery? I will use this in jstree if someone knows of a better way to do this. Thanks

  • Should I learn FLEX, is it a marketable enough?

    - by aceinthehole
I haven been recently laid off and was considering what to learn in the down time while trying to get another job. I had heard that Adobe's FLEX was starting to become more in-demand, and have seen it increasingly on job postings. Has anyone else been successful (career wise) in learning FLEX? Is it worth spending time to learn FLEX to add a bullet point to a resume, and lead to a possible job or should time be spent else where?

    - by John
Hi all, I have around 8000 xml files that needs to be converted into text files. The text file must contain title, description and keywords of the xml file without the tags and removing other elements and attributes as well. In other words, i need to create 8000 text files containing the title, description and keywords of the xml file. I need codings for this to be done systematically. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Hey all thank you all so so much with your replies. Here's a sample of what my xml looks like: <?xml version="1.0"?> <metadata> <identifier>43productionsNightatthegraveyard</identifier> <title>Night at the graveyard</title> <collection>opensource_movies</collection> <mediatype>movies</mediatype> <resource>movies</resource> <upload_application appid="ccPublisher" version="2.2.1"/> <uploader>[email protected]</uploader> <description>una noche en el cementerio (terror)</description> <license>http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/</license> <title>Night at the graveyard</title> <format>Video</format> <adder>[email protected]</adder> <licenseurl>http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/</licenseurl> <year>2007</year> <keywords>Night,at,the,graveyard,43,productions</keywords> <holder>43 productions</holder> <publicdate>2007-04-11 19:52:28</publicdate> </metadata> And this would be the output: una noche en el cementerio (terror) Night at the graveyard Night,at,the,graveyard,43,productions This need to be saved with the same name but in text format. Thanks all so much if any more suggestions would be much appreciated.

  • Styling an Input Field

    - by John
    Hello When I try to alter the CSS for the input field named "title" below, which is classed by "submissionfield", the position changes, but the height, length, and font of the field do not change. How could I make the height of the input field "title" 22 px, the length 550 px, and the font Times New Roman? The CSS below does not do it. Thanks in advance, John echo '<form action="http://www...com/.../submit2.php" method="post"> <input type="hidden" value="'.$_SESSION['loginid'].'" name="uid"> <div class="submissiontitle"><label for="title">Story Title:</label></div> <div class="submissionfield"><input name="title" type="title" id="title" maxlength="1000"></div> <div class="urltitle"><label for="url">Link:</label></div> <div class="urlfield"><input name="url" type="url" id="url" maxlength="500"></div> <div class="submissionbutton"><input name="submit" type="submit" value="Submit"></div> </form> '; The CSS: .submissiontitle { position:absolute; width:100px; left:30px; top:200px; text-align: left; margin-bottom:3px; padding:0px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color:#000000; } .submissionfield { position:absolute; width:550px; left:50px; top:230px; text-align: left; margin-bottom:3px; padding:0px; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 22px; color:#000000; } .urltitle { position:absolute; width:250px; left:30px; top:300px; text-align: left; margin-bottom:3px; padding:0px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color:#000000; } .urlfield { position:absolute; width:550px; left:30px; top:330px; text-align: left; margin-bottom:3px; padding:0px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color:#000000; } .submissionbutton { position:absolute; width:250px; left:30px; top:380px; text-align: left; margin-bottom:3px; padding:0px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color:#000000; } .submittitle { position:absolute; width:250px; left:30px; top:150px; text-align: left; margin-bottom:3px; padding:0px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color:#000000; }

  • How could I implement a fuzzy time date replacer using Knockout?

    - by rball
I'd like to implement what this plugin does using jQuery: https://github.com/rmm5t/jquery-timeago A short description of that plugin: This will turn all abbr elements with a class of timeago and an ISO 8601 timestamp in the title (conforming to the datetime design pattern microformat): <abbr class="timeago" title="2011-12-17T09:24:17Z">December 17, 2011</abbr> Into something like this: <abbr class="timeago" title="December 17, 2011">about 1 day ago</abbr> Except using knockout my markup looks like this: <abbr data-bind="attr: { title: Posted }" class="timeago"></abbr> I think something isn't synced up because nothing is happening even if I put the call to timeago within the viewmodel itself. I'm guessing I need a subscriber that's attached to the observable "Posted" but I'm not sure how to set that up.

  • How to run lengthy tasks from an ASP.NET page?

    - by Jimmy C
I've got an ASP.NET page with a simple form. The user fills out the form with some details, uploads a document, and some processing of the file then needs to happens on the server side. My question is - what's the best approach to handling the server side processing of the files? The processing involves calling an exe. Should I use seperate threads for this? Ideally I want the user to submit the form without the web page just hanging there while the processing takes place. I've tried this code but my task never runs on the server: Action<object> action = (object obj) => { // Create a .xdu file for this job string xduFile = launcher.CreateSingleJobBatchFile(LanguagePair, SourceFileLocation); // Launch the job launcher.ProcessJob(xduFile); }; Task job = new Task(action, "test"); job.Start(); Any suggestions are appreciated.

  • T-SQL Query, combine columns from multiple rows into single column

    - by Shayne
I have seeen some examples of what I am trying to do using COALESCE and FOR XML (seems like the better solution). I just can't quite get the syntax right. Here is what I have (I will shorten the fields to only the key ones): Table Fields ------ ------------------------------- Requisition ID, Number IssuedPO ID, Number Job ID, Number Job_Activity ID, JobID (fkey) RequisitionItems ID, RequisitionID(fkey), IssuedPOID(fkey), Job_ActivityID (fkey) I need a query that will list ONE Requisition per line with its associated Jobs and IssuedPOs. (The requisition number start with "R-" and the Job Number start with "J-"). Example: R-123 | "PO1; PO2; PO3" | "J-12345; J-6780" Sure thing Adam! Here is a query that returns multiple rows. I have to use outer joins, since not all Requisitions have RequisitionItems that are assigned to Jobs and/or IssuedPOs (in that case their fkey IDs would just be null of course). SELECT DISTINCT Requisition.Number, IssuedPO.Number, Job.Number FROM Requisition INNER JOIN RequisitionItem on RequisitionItem.RequisitionID = Requisition.ID LEFT OUTER JOIN Job_Activity on RequisitionItem.JobActivityID = Job_Activity.ID LEFT OUTER JOIN Job on Job_Activity.JobID = Job.ID LEFT OUTER JOIN IssuedPO on RequisitionItem.IssuedPOID = IssuedPO.ID

  • How can I get Perl to detect the bad UTF-8 sequences?

    - by gorilla
I'm running Perl 5.10.0 and Postgres 8.4.3, and strings into a database, which is behind a DBIx::Class. These strings should be in UTF-8, and therefore my database is running in UTF-8. Unfortunatly some of these strings are bad, containing malformed UTF-8, so when I run it I'm getting an exception DBI Exception: DBD::Pg::st execute failed: ERROR: invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0xb5 I thought that I could simply ignore the invalid ones, and worry about the malformed UTF-8 later, so using this code, it should flag and ignore the bad titles. if(not utf8::valid($title)){ $title="Invalid UTF-8"; } $data->title($title); $data->update(); However Perl seems to think that the strings are valid, but it still throws the exceptions. How can I get Perl to detect the bad UTF-8?

  • Regular expressions in a Python find-and-replace script?

    - by Haidon
I'm new to Python scripting, so please forgive me in advance if the answer to this question seems inherently obvious. I'm trying to put together a large-scale find-and-replace script using Python. I'm using code similar to the following: findreplace = [ ('term1', 'term2'), ] inF = open(infile,'rb') s=unicode(inF.read(),charenc) inF.close() for couple in findreplace: outtext=s.replace(couple[0],couple[1]) s=outtext outF = open(outFile,'wb') outF.write(outtext.encode('utf-8')) outF.close() How would I go about having the script do a find and replace for regular expressions? Specifically, I want it to find some information (metadata) specified at the top of a text file. Eg: Title: This is the title Author: This is the author Date: This is the date and convert it into LaTeX format. Eg: \title{This is the title} \author{This is the author} \date{This is the date} Maybe I'm tackling this the wrong way. If there's a better way than regular expressions please let me know! Thanks!

  • Help needed in AdventureWorks in a sql query.

    - by vaibhav
I was just playing with adventureworks database in sqlserver. I got stuck in a query. I wanted to Select all titles from HumanResources.Employee which are either 'Male' or 'Female' but not both. i.e if title Accountant is Male and Female both I want to leave that title. I need only those titles where Gender is either Male or Female. I have done this till yet. select distinct(title) from humanresources.employee where gender='M' select distinct(title) from humanresources.employee where gender='F' Probably a join between these two queries, would work. But If you have any other solution, please let me know. It is not a homework. :) Thanks in advance.

  • How to bind value to its parent element value?

    - by KentZhou
Silverlight provides element to element binding. How to apply it this is case: I have a xaml as below: <TextBlock Text="{Binding ABC}" > <ToolTipService.ToolTip> <local:MyControl Title="{Binding ...}" /> </ToolTipService.ToolTip> </TextBlock> I want to bind MyControl Title to the same data as its parent Textblock Text, but I don't want set x:Name for its parent Textblock. I know there is one solution to bind Title to same data source: <local:MyControl Title="{Binding ABC}" /> This may cause two times to call "{Binding ABC}", with my case, there ValurConverter for this binding. I don't want to use this way.
