• Smart coding on ActionScript 2 (importing vars from a php)

  Hello, i have a php who when is executed it give me a couple of vars in this format: &lVar1=DATA1&&lVar2=DATA2&&lVar3=DATA3 and soo... The problem is that i dont know the quantity of lVar the php script is gonna give in any time, so i cant figure out a smart script in AS2 to import all of them into a array to my flash.   I have a complex XSD schema and hundreds of XML files conforming to the schema. How do I automate the creation of related SQL Server tables to store the XML data? I've considered creating C# classes from the XSD schema using the xsd.exe tool and letting something like Subsonic figure out how to make a shiny database out of it, but not sure if it's the best way to approach it. Has anyone managed to elegantly import XSD files into SQL Server?

• FLEX: How to know when a dialog created throw PopUpManager Closes

  Is there a easy way to figure out consistently when a Dialog closes that has been created through PopUpManager. I would have suspected some type of message or callback mechanism, but there does not seem to be. In one case I use the WindowTitle component and event that only fires the CLOSE if someone presses the close and give no message when the dialog actually closes.

  I have a program which places structures in a linked list based on the 'name' they have stored in them. To find their place in the list, i need to figure out if the name im inserting is earlier or later in the alphabet then those in the structures beside it. The names are inside the structures, which i have access to. I don't need a full comaparison if that is more work, even just the first letter is fine. Thanks for the help!

• HTML5 elements working in Chrome but not Safari or Firefox?

  Hi, I'm using the HTML5 elements and in a project i'm working on (see it here) and the css seems to be working fine in Chrome. However, it doesn't appear to be working in Safari or Firefox (I haven't tested IE, but I'd imagine it's the same), and the page layout is all over the place. Any ideas why this may be? I know Firefox and Safari both support these elements, and Safari is webkit-based like Chrome, so I can't figure out what the problem is.

I want a formula that will make it for eample twice its size but from the center * * * * * * * * Therefore the new shape is twice as large and from the center of the polygon. I can’t seem to get the #{@user.name} to work in my flash[:notice] Everything else works just fine I can add new users, but when I add a new user instead of saying “User John Doe was successfully created”, it says “User #{@user.name} was successfully created.” I'm at this point in the depot app: depot_p/app/controllers/users_controller.rb to work.

Surely its just two right? one for the server one for the client, but this seems to obvious. • If i write in assembly or machine language, will the program work on any computer with a compatible processor?

  Basically, i'm wanting to know if i can use either machine or assembly language to write a program that will work on any computer with an x86 processor, despite differences in operating systems. For example, you run a program and no matter what computer it's on, it'll display "Hello, World!" I know it's a little crazy to want to know either of these to languages, but i figure it's an incredible thing to learn, so why not?
