• Issue in parsing the GridViewRows in a Telerik RadGridView

  Hi, I would like to do something similar what we do in ASP.NET where we parse through all the rows in a GridView and assign a particular value to a particular cell in a row which has a matching TaskId as the current Id. This has to happen in a Tick function of a Dispatcher Timer object. Since I have a Start Timer button Column for every row in a GridView. Upon a particular row's Start Timer Button click, I have to start its timer and display in a cell in that row. Similarly there can be multiple timers running in parallel. For this I need to be able to check the task Id of the particular task and keep updating the cell values with the updated time in all of the tasks that have a Timer Started. • C# TcpClient, getting back the entire response from a telnet device

  I'm writing a configuration tool for a device that can communicate via telnet. The tool sends a command via TcpClient.GetStream().Write(...), and then checks for the device response via TcpClient.GetStream().ReadByte(). This works fine in unit tests or when I'm stepping through code slowly. If I run the config tool such that it performs multiple commands consecutively, then the behavior of the read is inconsistent. By inconsistent I mean sometimes the data is missing, incomplete or partially garbled. So even though the device performed the operation and responded, my code to check for the response was unreliable. I "fixed" this problem by adding a Thread.Sleep to make sure the read method waits long enough for the device to complete its job and send back the whole response (in this case 1.5 seconds was a safe amount). • Can I perform a search on mail server in Java?

  I am trying to perform a search of my gmail using Java. Of course I can cache all the results, but this becomes a storage concern with large gmail boxes and also would be very slow (I can only imagine how long it would take to search through gigabytes of text...). So my question is, is there a way of searching through mail on the server, a la gmail's search field? Maybe through Microsoft Exchange? Hours of Googling has turned up nothing.

• Authentication Error when accessing Sharepoint list via web service

  I wrote a windows service a few months ago that would ping a Sharepoint list using _vti_bin/lists.asmx function GetListItemChanges. It was working fine until a few weeks ago when my company upgraded our Sharepoint instance to SP1. Now whenever my service attempts to access Sharepoint I receive an 401.1 authentication error: Error: You are not authorized to view this page You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. Please try the following: Contact the Web site administrator if you believe you should be able to view this directory or page. HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. Internet Information Services (IIS) I have checked and my privileges on the site have not changed. here is the code In which I call the list: Lists listsService = new Lists(); listsService.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("UserName", "Password", "domain"); Result = listsService.GetListItemChanges("List name", null, dTime.ToString(), null); It has also been brought to my attention that basic authentication may have been disabled on our farm. I don't believe I'm using that but I may be mistaken.

  I am getting an error at public Rectangle(double width, double height){ saying that it's an invalid method declaration, return type required. I'm not sure how to fix it. These are also my instructions for my assignment: Write a super class encapsulating a rectangle. A rectangle has two attributes representing the width and the height of the rectangle. It has methods returning the perimeter and the area of the rectangle. This class has a subclass, encapsulating a parallelepiped, or box. A parallelepiped has a rectangle as its base, and another attribute, its length. • C# Uploading files to file server

  Hello All, Currently I have an application that receives an uploaded file from my web application. I now need to transfer that file to a file server which happens to be located on the same network (however this might not always be the case). I was attempting to use the webclient class in C# .NET. string filePath = "C:\\test\\564.flv"; try { WebClient client = new WebClient(); NetworkCredential nc = new NetworkCredential(uName, password); Uri addy = new Uri("\\\\192.168.1.28\\Files\\test.flv"); client.Credentials = nc; byte[] arrReturn = client.UploadFile(addy, filePath); Console.WriteLine(arrReturn.ToString()); } catch (Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine(ex.Message); } The machine located at 192.168.1.28 is a file server and has a share c:\Files. As of right now I am receiving an error of Login failed bad user name or password, but I can open explorer and type in that path login successfully. I can also login using remote desktop, so I know the user account works. Any ideas on this error? Is it possible to transfer a file directly like that? With the webclient class or maybe some other class? Thanks

  I am creating a modular ASP.NET MVC application using areas. In short, I have created a greedy route that captures all routes beginning with {application}/{*catchAll}. Here is the action: // get /application/index public ActionResult Index(string application, object catchAll) { // forward to partial request to return partial view ViewData["partialRequest"] = new PartialRequest(catchAll); // this gets called in the view page and uses a partial request class to return a partial view } Example: The Url "/Application/Accounts/LogOn" will then cause the Index action to pass "/Accounts/LogOn" into the PartialRequest, but as a string value. // partial request constructor public PartialRequest(object routeValues) { RouteValueDictionary = new RouteValueDictionary(routeValues); } In this case, the route value dictionary will not return any values for the routeData, whereas if I specify a route in the Index Action: ViewData["partialRequest"] = new PartialRequest(new { controller = "accounts", action = "logon" }); It works, and the routeData values contains a "controller" key and an "action" key; whereas before, the keys are empty, and therefore the rest of the class wont work. So my question is, how can I convert the "/Accounts/LogOn" in the catchAll to "new { controller = "accounts", action = "logon" }"?? • Puting contact number into field

  I have this code that has one button that let's me choose an entry from contacts, and passes that choesn contact to onActivityResult function. My question is how do I select data of that single contact when all that is passed is an Intent in data variable. That data variable, if converted to string shows something like "dat: content://contacts/people/4" so I see that selected contact is somehow passed, but what now? How to get that data? And also all I found by googling was examples with deprecated class People, so I don't know how too use new classes. Please help. I could put in a mutable variable to keep track when the first part of the set clause is appended, but that seems wrong. I could just create an list of tuples, where each tuple is oldtext, newtext, columnname, so that I could then loop through the list and build up the query, but it seems that I should be passing in a StringBuilder to a recursive function, returning back a boolean which is then passed as a parameter to the recursive function. Does this seem to be the best approach, or is there a better one?

  Hi,there I have a problem when do search with lucene. First, in lucene indexing function, it works well to huge size document. such as .pst file, the outlook mail storage. It can build indexing file include all the information of .pst. The only problem is to large sometimes, include very much words. So when i search using lucene, it only can process the front part of this indexing file, if one word come out the back part of the indexing file, it couldn't find this word and no hits in result. But when i separate this indexing file to several parts in stupid way when debugging, and searching every parts, it can work well. • Android - Correspondence between ImageView coordinates and Bitmap Pixels

  In my application I want the user to be able to select some content of an Image contained inside an ImageView. To select the content I subclassed the ImageView class making it implement the OnTouchListener so to draw over it a rectangle with borders decided by the user. Here is an example of the result of the drawing (to have an idea you can think of it as when you click with the mouse on your desktop and drag the mouse): Now I need to determine which pixels of the Bitmap image correspond to the selected part. It's kind of easy to determine which are the points of the ImageView belonging to the rectangle, but I don't know how to get the correspondent pixels, since the ImageView has a different aspect ratio than the original image. I followed the approach described especially here, but also here, but am not fully satisfied because in my opinion the correspondence made is 1 on 1 between pixels and points on the ImageView and does not give me all the correspondent pixels on the original image to the selected area. • Reading numpy arrays outside of Python

  In a recent question I asked about the fastest way to convert a large numpy array to a delimited string. My reason for asking was because I wanted to take that plain text string and transmit it (over HTTP for instance) to clients written in other programming languages. A delimited string of numbers is obviously something that any client program can work with easily. However, it was suggested that because string conversion is slow, it would be faster on the Python side to do base64 encoding on the array and send it as binary. This is indeed faster. My question now is, (1) how can I make sure my encoded numpy array will travel well to clients on different operating systems and different hardware, and (2) how do I decode the binary data on the client side. For (1), my inclination is to do something like the following import numpy as np import base64 x = np.arange(100, dtype=np.float64) base64.b64encode(x.tostring()) Is there anything else I need to do? For (2), I would be happy to have an example in any programming language, where the goal is to take the numpy array of floats and turn them into a similar native data structure. Assume we have already done base64 decoding and have a byte array, and that we also know the numpy dtype, dimensions, and any other metadata which will be needed. Thanks.
