Hi !
I have a Folder with about 1000 Projects.
So to open one, it's not that easy with this amount.
Recent projects are very useful feature, what I need is something like favorite projects.
I like MvcContrib Grid's AutoGenerateColumns feature, however it only seems to work with simple objects. Is it possible to get it to traverse the properties of a complex object? Or is it neccesary to do this manually with column.For()?
An example would be a User object that has an Address object as one of its properties.
I really like the promote to home page feature of drupal. But what if I want some content promoted to a page other than the home page. Is that possible?
I'm writing my first app in MFC, and I was looking to include a very simple feature : Include a "Save To File" button that on being clicked will bring up the familiar "Save As.." Dialog box and will ultimately save the data in a text file. I couldn't find how to invoke this dialog box - can someone just point me at the right way to do it ?
I have a third party COM component (they don't offer a .Net assy), that has the additional feature that it only works under x86 compile.
I am trying to wrap this in a WCF service, but if I select x86, the service won't start (System.BadImageFormatException).
Any workarounds for this ?
Thanks
Larry
I have a program developed for Windows XP, but when I try to install it in Windows Vista, I get an error message saying that the SQL database (sqlite3) is read only. Is that due to a feature in Windows Vista?
I'm using interface builder's tag feature to access some UILabels I'm instantiating in a xib file. Since this a UITextViewCell I want to avoid superfluous method calls, but I want to do it right too. Thus when I do:
UILabel *label = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:1];
I'm wondering if I should wrap it up like so:
if([[cell viewWithTag:1] isKindOfClass [UITableViewCell class]]) {
UILabel *label = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:1];
}
Any discussion on this would be appreciated.
Thanks
In C++ using delete to free memory obtained with malloc() doesn't necessarily cause a program to blow up.
Do you guys think a warning or perhaps even an assertion failure should be produced if delete is used to free memory obtained using malloc()??
Why do you think that Stroustrup did not had this feature on C++?
Django's form library has a feature of form sets that allow you to process dynamically added forms. For example you would use form sets if your application has a list of bookmarks you could use form sets to process multiple forms that each represent a bookmark.
What about if you want to dynamically add a field to a form? An example would be a survey creation page where you can dynamically add an unlimited number of questions. How do you handle this in Django?
Hello. Does anyone know how I can create a screen overflow while a program is running? Mainly while a game is running. If anyone has used xFire or Steam, these use this feature. I've created a winform which starts the game/program and then minimizes. Could the overflow be created in the same winform? Thanks for the help! :)
I have an ASP web application which has pages with static content as well as dynamic content(data from database). I want to implement a search feature in the site.I Can do this with the dynamic data easily by framing the select query based on the search keys and pull data from the tables,But i would like to know how can i implement the search with the static pages ?
In my application I catch a DragOver event and then perform an action. I'd like to wait for half a second before performing the action, the action should not be performed after that delay if the drag operation has ended.
The only way I could think of to implement this feature is something like this:
Function DragOver Event
If TimerTimeReached Then
PerformDragAction
Else If Not TimerStarted
StartTimer
End
End Function
Function DragLeave Event
If TimerStarted
StopTimer
End
End Function
Is there a better way to perform this operation?
Hi guys:
I am a noivce at JQuery.
I'm curious about if there is any plug-in or libraries to help developers validate whether any input value over a set of form elements is not entered (empty string).
I can just think of using a function to achieve this feature. Any better idea?
Thanks.
All those familiar with websphere commerce will know that it is feature rich. It supports B2B, B2C and extended sites(which ATG doesn't) and some other features. But it is complicated, and on the performance and reliability front it still seems to leave a lot to be desired. Any opinions on which would be better for a high traffic site?
I wonder how can I enable the nullptr in the just released Visual Studio 2010. (C++ project, not managed).
This is one of the new features but it is not available by default and looking inside the documentation at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/4ex65770(VS.100).aspx it seams that it is enabled by /clr but this is managed!
Is this a feature added only for .NET?
Hello,
I'm doing some research on the convenience of using Office Web Components on a web to show pivot tables and graphics and I have a question regarding this.
Does the use of these components will turn my web app (at least for this feature) into a "Internet Explorer only" app
Thanks in advance!
C# properties (I mean get and set methods) are a very useful feature. does java have something similar to C# properties too. I mean how we can implement something like the following C# code in java:
public string Name
{
get
{
return name;
}
set
{
name = value;
}
}
thank you in advance
somewhere i read about one specific feature present in awk which is absent in perl.
failed in locating it again.
would appreciate it, if anyone of you could remember.
(yep, this might be a useless trivia.) but still curious.
I'm using the config file replacement feature of Visual Studio 2010's "Publish" functionality, as described in this article. I want to automate this using MSBuild/Hudson. Does anybody know how to do this?
I like how it works but if I cannot automate it I'll have to switch to XmlMassUpdate or similar.
Hi, all
I'm writing an application which contains many tabs, and sometimes the number of tabs may exceed five. So I want to make it behave like iPhone, which is, move additional tabs to a "More..." tab. I would like to know if this feature is supported by TabHost, or if there is any existing open source widget which can do the favor for me. Thanks.
In the Crystal Reports editor that comes with Visual Studio (2008) is it possible to align text to the center of a text box rather than to the top?
I can't find the option anywhere and a Google search is not encouraging but I just can't bring myself to believe that they would not include such an obvious feature.
I am trying to set up a search feature on my site that will only return exact matches to keyword entered by the user. So if the user searches "dog" I don't want an article titled "Doggy Style" to appear in the search results (just an example I don't really have an article by that name). This of course does exactly that:
SELECT * FROM articles WHERE article_title LIKE '%$searchQuery%'
$searchQuery here is a PHP variable taken from the user's input form. So is there any way to return only exact matches?
Hi folks,
We all know you can implement drag-and-drop feature for your Window so that it accepts drag and drop operation, but my question is, how to detect a drag-and-drop operation that's is in progress in other windows, for example, dragging a file in the Windows Explorer? What I want to do is that when a user is dragging a file then my hidden window shows up.
Thank you!
As I understand things, the Scrum backlog is composed of a series of Stories that represent something for the end user and this is further decomposed into Features.
If this is the case, where does all the behind the scenes features go that aren't really linked to a story but are still useful?
For example, say I'm making an application that catalogs the contents of a hard drive. A story wouldn't require it but having an md5 hash on each file would be a nice feature.
Hi,
I would like know how this feature is implemented in VS - I understand it holds some sort of weak-reference to the object in the debugged-application's memory, but how exactly is it accomplished?
I know simply tracking the address (as in native code) wouldn't work, because the GC might move the object about, invalidating the address.
Thanks.
