    - by Ojtwist
So i'm trying to render a template with trimpath in IE8, but when passing the template (a jquery object) there is nothing in it. This all works in chrome, safari, firefox. So to give an example: var $flickrImageGalleryPreviewTemplate =$('#flickr_image_gallery_preview_template',rootel); $flickrImageGalleryPreviewTemplate.length) will result in 0 in IE8 and 1 in FF,Chrome,Safari

    - by Probocop

The reason being is because the form has a load of options on it which will be passed to a script. How would I go about doing this with Jquery?

  • Test if links are external with jQuery / javascript?

    - by Matrym
How do I test to see if links are external or internal? Please note: I cannot hard code the local domain. I cannot test for "http". I could just as easily be linking to my own site with an http absolute link. I want to use jQuery / javascript, not css. I suspect the answer lies somewhere in location.href, but the solution evades me. Thanks!

  • How do I add a function to a specific element type in jQuery?

    - by Chad Johnson
I can do this jQuery.fn.validate = function(options) { var defaults = { validateOPtions1 : '', validateOPtions2 : '' }; var settings = $.extend({}, defaults, options); return this.each(function() { // you validation code goes here }); }; but that will make validate() available for every element. I could do this to any element: $('some selector').validate(). Is there a way I can make this only available to, say, form elements? eg. $('.mySpecialFormClass').validate()?
