• Is it possible to display image with loadDataWithBaseURL() method in android?

  Hi. I m trying to display html file contains with loadDataWithBaseURL() method in android.. I m Just contains Html file data in one String source object then pass it to the method. for e.g String source; //contain html tags with images View.loadDataWithBaseURl(null,source,"text/html","UTF-8","about:blank"); The data displayed in view is fine. My problem is if my html file contains any images then I couldn't displayed it? how can I do that? Can anybody help me?

• PHP & MySQLi timeout

  Whenever I try to create a mysqli object, as in; $mysqli = new mysqli(host, user, pass, table); ...the page just loads for around a minute, then stops, showing all the content of the page up until that line. info() says that MySQLi (and MySQL if that matters) are enabled, and I can access the MySQL CLI. I'm also working on a local machine, not a remote server. I feel like I've missed something obvious. Can anyone shed some light on it? Edit: just for clarification, I am actually putting real values into the mysqli constructor :)

• How do you make an in-place construction of a struct casted to array compile in Visual C++ 2008?

  I'm working with quite a big codebase which compiles fine in linux but vc++ 2008 spits errors. The problem code goes like this: Declaration: typedef float vec_t; typedef vec_t vec2_t[2]; The codebase is littered with in-place construction like this one: (vec2_t){0, divs} Or more complex: (vec2_t){ 1/(float)Vid_GetScreenW(), 1/(float)Vid_GetScreenH()} As far as I know, this code constructs a struct, then converts it to an array and passes the address to the function. I personally never used in-place construction like this so I have no clue how to make this one work. I don't maintain the linux build, only the windows one. And I can't get it to compile. Is there some switch, some macro to make vc++ compile it? Maybe there is a similar nifty way to construct those arrays and pass them to the functions in-place that compiles just fine in vc++?

• Why Date Format in ASP NET MVC Differs when used inside Html Helper?

  Hi, I just came across a very interesting issue. If I use ViewData to pass a DateTime value to the view and then display it inside a textbox, even though I'm using String.Format in the exact same manner, I get different formatting results when using the Html.TextBox helper. <%= Html.TextBox("datefilter", String.Format("{0:d}", ViewData["datefilter"]))%> <input id="test" name="test" type="text" value="<%: String.Format("{0:d}", ViewData["datefilter"]) %>" /> The above code renders the following html: <input id="datefilter" name="datefilter" type="text" value="2010-06-18" /> <input id="test" name="test" type="text" value="18/06/2010" /> Notice how the fist line that uses the Html helper produces the date format in one way while the second one produces a very different output. Any ideas why? Note: I'm currently in Brazil, so the standard short date format here is dd/MM/yyyy.

  Hi All, I have a repeater.. and in my repeater i have a link that fires some JS. I would like to pass the itemIndex of the datasource in the JS. • Can I get a PTypeInfo from a string?

  This is probably going to be a "no", but is there any way I can use Delphi's RTTI, either old-school or the 2010 extended RTTI, to pass in a string containing the name of a type, specifically the name of an enumerated type, and have it give me the PTypeInfo for that type? I've looked through RTTI.pas and TypInfo.pas and I don't see any function that would do that, but I might have missed something. What I'm looking for: var info: PTypeInfo; begin info := GetTypeInfoFromName('TComponentStyle'); end; Or something like that. Thing is, the name of the enumerated type would be passed in; it wouldn't be known at compile time.

• Java Convert ColorSpace of BufferedImage to CS_GRAY without using ConvertColorOp

  I know its possible to convert an image to CS_GRAY using public static BufferedImage getGrayBufferedImage(BufferedImage image) { BufferedImageOp op = new ColorConvertOp(ColorSpace .getInstance(ColorSpace.CS_GRAY), null); BufferedImage sourceImgGray = op.filter(image, null); return sourceImgGray; } however, this is a chokepoint of my entire program. I need to do this often, on 800x600 pixel images and takes about 200-300ms for this operation to complete, on average. I know I can do this alot faster by using one for loop to loop through the image data and set it right away. The code above on the other hand constructs a brand new 800x600 BufferedImage that is gray scale. I would rather just transform the image I pass in. Does any one know how to do this with a for loop and given that the image is RGB color space?

  I've been getting several errors: cannot add an entity with a key that is already in use An attempt has been made to attach or add an entity that is not new, perhaps having been loaded from another datacontext In case 1, this stems from trying to set the key for an entity versus the entity. In case 2, I'm not attaching an entity but I am doing this: MyParent.Child = EntityFromOtherDataContext; I've been using using the pattern of wrap everything with a using datacontext. In my case, I am using this in a web forms scenario, and obviously moving the datacontext object to a class wide member variables solves this. My questions are thus 2 fold: How can I get rid of these errors and not have to structure my program in an odd way or pass the datacontext around while keeping the local-wrap pattern? I assume I could make another hit to the database but that seems very inefficient. Would most people recommend that moving the datacontext to the class wide scope is desirable for web pages?

• jQuery Validation Plugin + equalTo Not Working

  Hey guys, Here is what I am currently using to attempt to validate a form. When I press submit with no values entered into the form, I get the error messages for each of the inputs as expected. However, no matter what I put in newpassword2 or newemail2 they never 'pass' validation. I've tried everything from copy and paste to making them one letter each to no success. Perhaps I am not using the equalTo attribute correctly... I've also verified that all the names of the selectors agree with the input id's on the form. Also, all of the inputs are contained within the form, so there aren't any outside of the form tags (I read that was an issue with someone else). $(document).ready(function() { $("#account_data").validate({ rules: { newpassword1: { required: true }, newpassword2: { equalTo: "#newpassword1" }, newemail1: { required: true, email: true }, newemail2: { equalTo: "#newemail1" } } }); }); Any help would be extremely appreciated! • call my web services from other app with javascript?

  Hi. I got .asmx a web service on my app. I need to call a method from an other app to get statistics from my app. I need it to return XML. the call to the webmethod is done with javascript soap. There is a default hellow world webmethod and calling that work but it seem that when i try to call a method where i need to pass parameters and it need to execute code it wont work and just return my error message. any ideas on what can be wrong. am I using the wrong web method?

• Are multiline tooltips possible using CWnd::EnableTooltips()?

  I'm attempting to make my tooltips multiline, but I don't seem to be having much luck with it. I call CWnd::EnableTooltips() directly after creation (in this case, an edit box) and I handle the TTN_NEEDTEXT message. My tooltips display correctly, but only display as a single line. I've tried adding '\n' to the string I pass when handling TTN_NEEDTEXT, and also tried '\r\n'. No luck. It just displays them as normal text in the tooltip string. I then tried manually inserting 0x0D0A, but this just displays as boxes. I've been digging a bit, and have found a few offhand references on the web saying that multiline behavior may not work when using tooltips through the CWnd functions. I'd prefer not to have to replace with CToolTipCtrl (since it's a rather large project). Has anyone ran into this before? If so, is there any way around it?

• Process for linking static ObjC libraries in XCode

  I'm trying to link to a static library and I keep getting linker errors. I've found a few sites that post examples but I have not been able to see what I am doing wrong. First I create a project that will link to my lib add existing files find my .xcodeproj file select "Copy items into destination groups folder"... Select my host project as Add To Targets. Then I add a direct dependency to my host app expand targets double click MyHost.app click + under direct dependencies select my lib Then I set build flags double click MyHost application icon in Groups and Files. click the build tab then I set the OtherLinerFlag to -ObjC then I set Header Search Paths to my header file location for my static library. I pass the compile stage but any classes in my static lib cause linker error: literal-pointer@_OBJC@_cls_refs@SomeClass in MyHost.o thanks!

At various times during the program year. I am ok with the first point (MCPD Enterprise, planning for CopmTIA shortly), but includes the last 2 points?   I have a web service with following operation contract and my service is hosted at http://localhost:9002/Service.svc/ [OperationContract] [WebGet(UriTemplate = "/Files/{Filepath}")] Stream DownloadFile(string Filepath); This web service would let users download file, if the proper filepath is provided (assuming, I somehow find out that proper filepath). Now, I can access this service from a browser by typing, http://localhost:9002/Service.svc/Files/(Filepath} If {filepath} is some simple string, its not a problem, but I want to send the location of the file. Lets us say users want to download file C:\Test.mp3 on the server. But how can I pass C:\Test.mp3 as {Filepath}? I get an error when I type http://localhost:9002/Service.svc/Files/C:\Test.mp3 in the browser. I am new to web services and find that this community is the quickest way to get answers to my questions.

  i wanna load a movieclip inside another movieclip with loadmovie or anything like this. so my question is.... could have i access to the location of the loaded swf-file inside the loaded swf-file? example: swf#1 loads swf#2 inside itself, so now the swf#2 should check its own uri with an identical key.. but without access to the loaded uri... it would be hard to pass this step :-). is there any information given? as2, as3 dosn't matter.... could use both :-)

  Django newbie here. I wrote simplified login form which takes email and password. It works great if both email and password are supplied, but if either is missing i get KeyError exception. According to django documentation this should never happen: By default, each Field class assumes the value is required, so if you pass an empty value -- either None or the empty string ("") -- then clean() will raise a ValidationError exception I tried to write my own validators for fields (clean_email and clean_password), but it doesn't work (ie I get KeyError exception).   I'm serving up PDFs from a SQL db and presenting them in the browser. I'm trying to figure out a way to embed a number in the PDF dynamically that is the recordID for that PDFs SQL record so that when the user hits the submit button and the form submits its XML data to my submission page I can tell which PDF this is. If there is some way of changing the submission URL on the fly then I could do a query string to pass my self the recordID. I'm not generating the PDF in code, its being created by hand and then uploaded to my site.

  Hi everyone, I've always found character-sets and encodings complicated to understand and here I'm faced with another problem. My apologies for any inaccuracies. I'll do my best. I'm requesting data from a server which returns JSON. In the HTTP headers it also returns the character.set like so: Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 I'm using the JSON library in python to load the JSON using the json.loads method. When I pass it the returned JSON, it gives me a dictionary in Unicode. I've Googled around and I know that JSON should return Unicode as JavaScript strings are Unicode objects. How can I load the JSON as UTF-8. I would like to use the same encoding as specified in the response header. I've read this post but it didn't help. Thank you.

• Programmatically sync the db in Django

  I'm trying to sync my db from a view, something like this: from django import http from django.core import management def syncdb(request): management.call_command('syncdb') return http.HttpResponse('Database synced.') The issue is, it will block the dev server by asking for user input from the terminal. How can I pass it the '--noinput' option to prevent asking me anything? I have other ways of marking users as super-user, so there's no need for the user input, but I really need to call syncdb (and flush) programmatically, without logging on to the server via ssh. Any help is appreciated.

• How to upload binary (audio) data from a Flash AS3 client to .NET server (WCF/REST/HTTP/?)?

  Simply stated: I'm trying to record audio in a browser, and get that data back up to the server. I originally tried to capture, encode and upload the audio using Silverlight, but because of the lack of suitable client-side encoding options, I'm now giving Flash a shot (Flash has baked-in support for encoding to Speex). I think I've figured out how to capture and encode the audio... But now what was easy in Silverlight, is the challenge in Flash. My server-side is .NET: MVC2- I'm open to receiving the audio in whatever manner is best- REST, WCF.. So that's my question: How could one upload binary data from Flash, to a .NET server-side endpoint. If the answer is WCF: then how would one setup the client-side proxies to communicate with the service? If the answer is REST or HTTP Post, then how would one construct this HTTP request and pass along the data? I've been reading up on AS3, but am new to Flash dev... Thanks for any help!

• iPhone OS: Posting an image + text "story" to a user's news feed through the facebook api

  So what I am trying to do is post an image that has been created by a user on an iphone into that users newsfeed. The functionality I am having a hard time understanding if it is possible: Can I pass a local NSURL (or URL?)(to a png file that lives in the documents folder) through a JSON string and onto Facebook? i want to mimic the action of a user going to his/her facebook page, clicking into the textfield for their newsfeeld, uploading an image by clicking the "photos" icon and selecting an image from a local disk and uploading it. I would also like to add some text into the post optionally. I'm just getting started with the Facebook api and it seems pretty tough right now, any help would be appreciated. code examples appreciated. Thanks, Nick
