  • JQuery Accordian Problem

    - by Kubi
jQuery('#alternatives').accordion({ header: 'div.AirlineHeader', active: false, alwaysOpen: false, animated: 'bounceslide', autoheight: false }) My accordian is having many panes. The problem is when I click it first, it works OK but second time it doesn't have constant height, Instead it is having a greater height value. Should I add another option or anything for that ?

  • library to determine indefinite article of a noun

    - by Andrew Bullock
    Are there any libraries for .NET that deal with determining the Indefinite Article of a noun? My crude attempt is below, which will probably work for 99% of my usage (which is acceptable) just wondering if there are any established alternatives? public static string GetIndefinateArticle(string noun) { if(string.IsNullOrEmpty(self)) return self; var first = noun[0]; if(first == 'a' || first == 'e' || first == 'i' || first == 'o') return "a " + self; return "an " + self; }

  • Remote MySQL in AIR

    - by YourComputerHelpZ
I use Aptana Studio 2.0 to create an Adobe AIR 2.0 webapplication. I have to contact my MySQL database from my server to be able to use my application. I tried, but it failed. Does AIR have these abilities anyways, and how? If not, what are the alternatives?

  • Paypal IPN security

    - by keithics
Hello! I am developing a website which will allow users to pay via Paypal. Paypal IPN seems to be easy to integrate and it works on my localhost. Now the problem is that, the amount and the business name are passed to paypal using POST Data. I know it's very dangerous to put it that way, but I am not sure what are the alternatives. How can I make Paypal IPN secure?

  • Ruby / rubyzip alternative capable of handling rar/tar/zip/7z?

    - by Nick Gorbikoff
I was wondering if anyone knows of rubyzip alternatives for Ruby, that can handle various formats in particular zip / rar / 7z? I know of libarchive, but it's not complete for my purposes ( it's a good gem thou). (To clarify, libarchive - won't work for me - cause I need to be able to run in on Windows. ( Yeah I know sucks to be me)) Right now I end up running system commands to the os, but I'd like something OS independent, and capable of handling those formats - reading and writing. Thank you

  • best tool for monitoring incoming/outgoing requests (PC/MAC)?

    - by dave L
What are the best tools for monitoring incoming/outgoing requests from a PC or MAC? Any tool that works well on both? (my guess is N/A) I'm interested in capturing HTTP (possibly even TCPIP)-based requests and responses. Does Wireshark always come out on top or are there alternatives people feel are better? Thanks for any info.

    - by davemackey
I need to take data from one table and import it into another table. In pseudocode, something like this: For Each row in table1 If row.personid is in table2 then update table2.row Else insert row into table2 End If Next What is the best way to do this in T-SQL? As I understand it T-SQL doesn't support For Each..Next, so what alternatives do I have?

  • How can I create an editable combo box in HTML/Javascript?

    - by Christian Davén
I need to let users select an item from a dropdown list, but also allow them to instead enter any text, even if it doesn't match an item in the list. How can I achieve this on a web page with HTML and Javascript? The select field doesn't let users enter text, and the input text field doesn't show the preferred alternatives. All items must show if the user opens the dropdown, so it can't be a simple auto-complete that only shows matching items.

  • Naming remote proxy classes

    - by Tobbe
What are some good names for the client and server side classes that communicate over the network when implementing a remote proxy? The classes are often called stub and skelleton but I don't find those names very "intention revealing". Are there any other (better) alternatives?

  • Generate terminal graphics

    - by Werner
Hi, which open source software options exist for generating terminal graphics? I mean, there is for instance the nice matplotlib, which can generate beautiful plots from data, in PNG or similar formats. But there are similar alternatives for generating just kind of ascii graphics? Thanks

  • What's the best free and opensource PHP ecommerce solution? (and why?)

    - by Andrea Ambu
I'd like to avoid coding one from scratch, so I'd like to see what the open-source community can offer :-) Required features: Easy way to insert items with photo and description Templates easy-to-create Multi language (at least Italian and English) Shopping cart User managment PayPal support (not required but really appreciated :D) I'm going on PHP and MySQL because of the hosting service I can't change, so please don't talk to me about alternatives :P I'd like to know what's the one you like the most and why should it be better than the others UPDATE: I need also multi language, Italian and English are a must.

  • PHP mobile browser detection?

    - by TreyK
I'm in need of a way to detect mobile browsers server-side. I'd like a way that requires me to do little to set up and little to maintain, yet still provide me with accurate detection of (at the VERY least) Android, Mobile Safari and Blackberry browsers, along with alternatives like Opera. I'd like to have at least the majority of the mobile market covered, and I'd really prefer virtually all of the market if it doesn't take much.

  • Find and replace table/field names in Access?

    - by richardtallent
I've been handed a rather large, old, and crusty Access 2000/2003 database to clean up. I'll need to rename a number of tables and fields, but need to do so in a way that doesn't break existing queries. (Fortunately, there are no macros, forms, or reports to worry about.) I've heard there are some commercial tools to make this job easier, but only found one (http://www.rickworld.com/products.html). Can anyone recommend this software, or any alternatives?

  • Styling buttons of Flex TabNavigator

    - by donpal
I created a TabNavigator with a bunch of NavigatorContent inside it, and want to skin just the buttons of the tabs themselves. So I added a skinClass, but looks like in the documentation, there's no skin part to target the button specifically. Do I have to style the mx:TabNavigator itself to accomplish this? I was hoping not since I don't know how to style mx components and am more comfortable with styling spark. Any other alternatives that I didn't think about?

  • Unit Testing and SharePoint Development

    - by MagicAndi
Hi, I am interested in writing unit tests for the SharePoint development work I am doing. Can anyone suggest practical approachs to implementing unit tests in MOSS? Note that any third party tools have to be free (but not necessarily open-source); the company I work for will not pay for additional tooling. In particular, any alternatives to the Typemock Isolator for SharePoint would be appreciated. Thanks, MagicAndi.
