• Exception Handling in SQl Stored Procedures?

  Hi All, Adding Exceptional Handling is a good practise, but I have a doubt, In our database we have 10 SPs which are accessed by our data access layer, there is not much logic and the queries are also not big.The purpose of keeping the queries in SPs was to allow paged data to be easily passed to the presentation layer. So, my question is, should error handling be added to the SPs in this scenario when they do not include large complex queries?

  Hi all, I came across this interesting website, with an idea of a way to visualize a clustering algorithm called "Clustergram": I am not sure how useful this really is, but in order to play with it I would like to reproduce it with R, but am not sure how to go about doing it. How would you create a line for each item so it would stay consistent throughout the different number of clusters?   Hi. I'm stuck trying to get a regex to match a filetype in a sorting script. Dir.foreach(savedirs[0]) do |x| puts "Matching " + x + " against filetypes." case x when x.match(/^.*\.exe$/i) then puts x when x.match(/\.jpe?g$/) then FileUtils.move(x, sortpath[".exe"], :verbose => true) when x =~ /\.jpg$/ then FileUtils.move(x, sortpath[".jpg"]) end end I can't get any of these to match on in windows. All I need is to confirm that a given filename matches against compatible filetypes.

  Hi, Environment is: Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Slik-Subversion-1.6.11-x64 TortoiseSVN-1.6.8.19260-x64-svn-1.6.11 I have setted up svn srvice based on Jeff Atwood guidlines and can connect work with host via svn command lines like svn list svn://localhost, but TortoiseSVN can't connect to it even on server machine itself. All firewall types are off. TortoiseSVN error message is: Can't connect to host 'localhost': No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. How can I solve this problem?   hi, DRUPAL question. I'm using Views, with an exposed filter (Taxonomy). I've downloaded the "better exposed filter" module to display it as checkbox list. a Now, how can I order the tags in the filter list ? "Views Sort" is not the solution because I only can order articles but not the filter items!! I want to add an option (checkbox) for the customer to order the tags alphabetically or leave them in the default order. thanks

  Hi Everybody, i'm running Windows as well as Ubuntu and like to sync both tweetdeck installations via dropbox. Therefore i need to locate two files: td_26_[username].db preferences_[username].xml I found them on windows under the folder c:\Users[account]\AppData\Roaming\TweetDeckFast.[random string]\Local Store\ But i can't find them on my ubuntu installation. When I have a Right to Left language string which contains more the one word the JSON encodes it backwards (For example: "Hello world" is encoded as "world hello"). But on my Iphone 3GS V3.1.3 in French, I have to use ',' to separate them.
