  • jQuery to bind input value to span or div???

    Please excuse me if this is a newbie question. I am new to this. I would like that a user fill out a form with their info and, just before clicking submit, there to be a summary of details area where they confirm their details are correctly entered. So is it possible for me to "bind" specific inputs to specific spans or divs and as they type (or maybe onBlur?) the span would reflect what is written in the respective input???

    I was wondering if somebody use syslog to log his web application errors/warning/info ? It could be quite useful in a deployment environment with a lot of servers. If yes, what kind of client visualisation you can get to watch errors and grouping the same errors into batch? Do you use other techniques than syslog to achieve this kind of logging functionality?

    I have a java class containing all the columns of a database table as attributes (member variables) and corresponding getters and setters. I want to have a method in this class called getColumnCount() that returns the number of columns (i.e. the number of attributes in the class)?   • Eazfuscator.NET logging?

    I am using Eazfuscator.NET 3.0.41 to obfuscate a (VS 2010) WPF 4 application. After obfuscating, when I double click the exe file it's throwing an error message like this. "Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException" Is there a way I could enable some sort of a logging to check where it's going wrong ? How can I solve this problem? please advice

  • Trying to set up iPhone-gcc compiler

    So I've installed iPhone-gcc, make and ldid from cydia, i can't compile yet though because I don't have the headers setup. I've looked around and there's not really much info on setting up the headers, librarys and frameworks. I just need to know where to extract them from the sdk and where to place them on my iPhone. To give a simple example: I need object A to perform action X. Object A needs P, Q and R to perform this action X. Will then Object A retrieve P, Q and R by itself (within action X), or must these values be parameters for action X?

  • Drupal 7: Rename files on upload (via filefield)

    Looking for a way to rename files that are uploaded by users through a filefield. For example, rename user profile photos using uniqid. I found a good solution for D6 here: http://www.wesjones.net/home/2011/03/drupal-6-how-to-change-filename-on-upload but can't find anything for D7. Another option is to use File (Field) Paths, but (1) the module causes warnings on my setup and (2) seems to be a bit of an overkill to install a general module for a very specific purpose.

    I use cnPack Uses cleaner, but in general which are the downsides of having useless units? I know some of them: 1) of course if the unit is never used across the full project there will be useless resource consuption 2) the code insight will give useless results 3) the code insight will be slower But imagine a simple case: I have a project with 2 forms, I use StrUtils in one of them but I declared StrUtils in both of them... Is there any downside in temrs of memory consumption in this case or not?

  • Is it best to code from a blank sheet or improving a code that's already written?

    Just had a curious thought, but for general coding and programming, do you think it's best to work out all the logic yourself and start from a blank sheet or just take a code that has been written already(by you or someone else) and just change it to your liking? Assuming you have a programming background of like 1year+. (because as a beginner, it's best to learn from nothing) I'm not saying copy+paste someone else's code and say it's yours.
