    Client Environment : Windows XP , Internet connection Available, PHP Not installed. Server Environment : CentOS , Internet connection Available, PHP , MYsql installed. Data are stored in files at client machine , suggest better ways to send data fetched from the file to the server.   • Refresh SWC in FlexBuilder after publishing

    I am using a SWC that was published from Flash CS3 in an Actionscript project in FlexBuider. The problem is that every time I make a change and re-publish the SWC the changes I made are not immediately recognized back in FlexBuilder. In order to have newly published SWC recognized I have to remove the reference to the SWC from the library path and then add it back again. This is tedious. Is there a better way?

    I'm working on my first Ruby on Rails aplication and it's quite big (at least for me ;) - database has about 25 tables). I'm still learning Ruby and Rails and I never wrote anything in Javascript nor Ajax. Should I add Ajax to my application from the begining? Or maybe it will be better to add it latter? Or in the other words: is it (relatively) easy to add ajax to existing web application?

However my problem is that I am using 2005 and not 2008. Does anyone know whether this is possible please?? The reason I want to do this is to better understand C# paradigms. With Java this is possible and I learnt a tremendous amount by being able to read code written by engineers

    I have the following piece of code in my controller def index session[:previous_url] = URI(request.referer).path if session[:previous_uri] != new_path redirect_to registration_path(id: current_user.associate_username) end end However this does not actually work and i get a bad URI error. I just want to check if the request came from a particular page and if not redirect it to another page. I would also like to know if there is a better way for doing this?.Thank you

    I have the following dictionary: sites = { 'stackoverflow': 1, 'superuser': 2, 'meta': 3, 'serverfault': 4, 'mathoverflow': 5 } To check if there are more than one key available in the above dictionary, I will do something like: 'stackoverflow' in sites and 'serverfault' in sites The above is maintainable with only 2 key lookups. Is there a better way to handle checking a large number of keys in a very big dictionary?

Examples I looked at indicate the the format is: [content_type:content_type_title] However my email arrives with just the string : [content_type:content_type_title] Even better would be a PHP snippet that loads the node and dumps filed title and filed value into the body of the message.

  • Read part of a file in PHP

    I would like to read the last 1 megabyte of a MP3 file and calculate SHA1 checksum for just that part of the file. The reason that I would want this is that when I'm looking for duplicate MP3's, the header info (song title, album etc.) can differ even though it's the exakt same audio file, so I figured I would be better of to checksum a part of the file at the end instead of the whole one. Is there an efficient way of doing this?

  • Makefile - How to save the .o one directory up?

    Imagine the following folder structure: project src code.c makefile bin How can I compile code.c to code.o and directly put it inside bin? I know I could compile it to code.o under src and the do "mv code.o ../bin" but that would yield an error if there were compile errors, right? Even if it works that way, is there a better way to do it? Thanks.
