I want to use Google Chart API using javascript. (I don't want to use the python wrapper)
So how do I send data from my python code into the javascript to create graphs?
I have a Rails app on a subdomain - xyz.domain.com, and a PHP app on another subdomain - abc.domain.com
When a user is logged into the Rails app, I would like to give them a session so that I can log certain events about that user in the PHP app but in the same database of the Rails app. I would essentially just expose an API that requires authentication.
What is the best way to go about this? I am not storing the session in a database
I put my questions in the code comments for clarity:
from piston.handler import AnonymousBaseHandler
class AnonymousAPITest(AnonymousBaseHandler):
fields = ('update_subscription',)
def update_subscription(self, request, months):
# Do some stuff here to update a subscription based on the
# number of months provided.
# How the heck can I call this method?
return {'msg': 'Your subscription has been updated!'}
def read(self, request):
return {
'msg': 'Why would I need a read() method on a fully custom API?'
}
Hello everyone
I know there is no public api to read 3g/wifi bandswitch.
But I wonder how this app can do this?

I like the Android platform. Actually, with some friends, we even participate to the ADC with the Spoxt project.
But Java is not my favourite language at all. We are working on a S60 version and this platform has a nice Python API. Of course there is nothing official about Python on Android, but since Jython exists, does anybody know a way to let the snake and the robot work together ?
I know that to filter an element with an atttribute called attrName which has value attrValue I do:
filter("[attrName='attrValue']")
but looking at the docs http://api.jquery.com/category/selectors/ I can't see an option to select all elements s.t. attrNameattrValue
Will this work
filter("[attrName>'attrValue']")
I am programming in C, using the Windows API, and would like to know how I could draw separators.
I'm a total noob when it comes to writing GUI applications, so I may need a code example.
How can you tell whether the device is oriented vertically (portrait) or horizontally (landscape)?
Is there an API that simplifies this or do you have to make the determination "by hand" using the accelerometer?
Hi all ,
I'm looking for an open source library that implements the OAuth protocol , I need the server side implementation . Say I have a Social network system , and I want to give my users an OAth abiliy to my API , like facebook.

I'm reading the Google Maps API and it states that the:
"callback: The function to call once the script has loaded. If using the Auto-loading feature, this must specify a function name, not a function reference.
What's the difference been a JavaScript function name vs a function reference?

Hi All,
I'm trying to use windows' API IsTextUnicode to check if a character input is unicode or not, but is sort of buggy. I figured, it might be better using a regex. However, I'm new to constructing regular expressions. What would be the regex to check if a character is unicode or not?
Thanks...
I have data structured in Binary tree format, i want to represent it into an image(*. jpeg) then i need to display that image on web page and all the data will come @ runtime, so image processing should be done @ runtime, how to do this ?
This is what my thought solution any other suitable solution are also welcomed,

Environment: JPA 1, Hibernate 3.3.x
I have an JPA entity class (User), how do I selectively fetch member variables say (first_name, last_name) instead of fetching all user attributes using the JPA api.
Hi,
I'm wondering if someone knows how to store an array into a user session?
This is the method to store a single attribute:
$this->getUser()->setAttribute('something', $something);
And the documentation says:
"User attributes can store any type of data (strings, arrays, and associative arrays)"
... but doesn't say anything more. The API documentation doesn't have a "SetAttributes" or something similarly obvious.
Thank you.

I'm working on a PHP project and am looking for a good authorize.net gateway. I want something with mature code that's tested. The goal is to avoid writing and testing the entire thing myself based on the authorize.net api docs.
Does anyone know of any good PHP libraries for this? I've search Google to no avail.
I want to create some sort of method of creating a web service that will run automatically and run DB queries and some API calls which will then store data that I can use/call without taking the processing or time penalty of doing it every time a user access my web service. Is this possible? If so, point me in the right direction on how to implement something like this
Using vb.net and ASP.net
Thanks in advance!!
What is the best way for an SWT application to clean up resources before application exit? I see two options:
1) Add a DisposeListener to main window (or better, to the Display). Will it get run if an uncaught exception happens?
2) Use a shutdown hook. Any problems to be aware of there which aren't mentioned in Design of the Shutdown Hooks API?

Heroku allows you to add and remove dynos and workers on the fly and charges you per second that each is used. Is it possible to set up my app so that it can add/remove dynos and workers from itself depending on the load it's under?
This paragraph on Heroku.com mentions an API, but I can't find out much more about it.
I know that under Windows, there are API functions like global_alloc() and such, which allocate memory, and return a handle, then this handle can be locked and a pointer returned, then unlocked again. When unlocked, the system can move this piece of memory around when it runs low on space, optimising memory usage.
My question is that is there something similar under Linux, and if not, how does Linux optimize its memory usage?
Is it possible to use the google maps API to cache the map images of a certain location so it can be loaded locally whenever the map starts up again but from a different location?
Hi Every One,
I am developing an application on fireeagle, there i need to update the users exact location, with out asking any information from the user (i.e) lat, long e.t.c.,
If it is not possible using yahoo fireeagle, please let me know if there exists any other api's other than yahoo fireeagle. If they can get the exact location of web user in 'Lat' and 'Long', either from 'Pc' or from 'Mobile' browser.
Thanks in advance.
i'm looking for a js engine to that I can (easily) expose C/C++ functions, classes etc. The API should allow changing exposed values from within C++ (by storing some kind of pointer or reference to an object inside js or so...). I've considered using google's v8 but I'm new to it and don't know whether it will satisfy my requirements. Can someone tell me whether I should stick to v8 or try something else?
