    Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to do a thesaurus search together with NEAR or AND/OR keywords. Here is an example of the type of query I want to run: SELECT Title, RANK FROM Item INNER JOIN CONTAINSTABLE(Item, Title, 'FORMSOF(Thesaurus, "red" NEAR "wine")') AS KEY_TBL ON Item.ItemID = KEY_TBL.[KEY] ORDER BY RANK DESC ....But I get the error message: Syntax error near 'NEAR' in the full-text search condition 'FORMSOF(Thesaurus, "red" NEAR "wine")'.

  • when/where should properties be released once the objects is pushed for display?

    Hi, I've defined a view controller with an array as one of its properties, and set the array with an allocated and autoreleased array. After I push the view for display I release it. By watching the leaks tool I see that every time that I pop the view I suffer from leakage. I tried to release the properties explicitly, immediately after the push but the app crashes. looking forward for your suggestions.

    Hi, I can't decide which approach is better for creating objects with a large number of fields (10+) (all mandatory) the constructor approach of the getter/setter. Constructor at least you enforce that all the fields are set. Java Beans easier to see which variables are being set instead of a huge list. The builder pattern DOES NOT seem suitable here as all the fields are mandatory and the builder requires you put all mandatory parameters in the builder constructor. Thanks, D

    Hi, I have to manage XML documents and Strings in my app. In terms of efficiency and memory usage, will a collection like ArrayList be much more expensive than String[]? Also, I could store the content as a regular String or XML. Is working with XML also more expensive? (When I say expensive, I am referring to the use of system resources.)     Hi! I am trying to update data in a table view using a NSMutableArray. Quite simple :( What is happening is that I get my data from a NSURLConnection Callback, which I parse and store it in an array and call reload data on the table view. The problem is that when cellForRowAtIndexPath is called back by the framework. The array still shows the correct count of the elements but all string objects I had stored earlier are shown as invalid. Any pointers

  • user is being created with Membership.CreateUser and when I pass the line it is being automatically

    Hi Guys, I'm trying to create a user using Membership.CreateUser. After I pass the following line: MembershipUser newUser = Membership.CreateUser(_UserName, _Password, _UserName); I check the 'aspnet_Membership' table and I find out that the user is indeed created. At that point I stop the application and I check the table again. Mysteriously the user that has just been created is dissapeared. Does anyone understands what's going on? Thanks a lot, Assaf.
