• Best way to manage JSON object via GET and POST in php.

  My site does some short ajax call in JSON format, using jQuery. At client-side i'd like to send object just passing it in ajax function, without being forced to wrap it in an object literal like this: {'JSON_Obj' : myJSON_Obj }. For the same reasons, at server-side i'd like to manage objects without the binding of $_GET['JSON_Obj'] or $_POST['JSON_Obj']. For example, using file_get_contents("php://input"), i can manage POST requests in that way, but in GET format it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

• iPhone images on the simulator and the actual device - different bitsPerPixel values?

  Hi there, I have code running in an iPhone application I am developing. Basically, the code needs to load an images and calls: size_t bitsPerPixel = CGImageGetBitsPerPixel(imageRef); I noticed that on the iPhone simulator this call returns 24 and the device itself it returns 32. Is this behavior by design? Is it something I can control? Thanks!

  Is there any way for a before_save filter to halt the entire save without halting the transaction? What I'm trying to do is have a "sample" version of my model that the user can interact with and save but the changes themselves are never actually saved.   I have a jQueryUI dialog with some textboxes, plus a button. Right now, the asp:Button tag used to generate the button automatically sets its type as type="submit". The structure of the dialog is such that pressing enter at any of the textboxes should not call the button click event. It seems like the cleanest way to solve the problem, if it is doable, is to manually set the button's type to something other than submit. Is there a way to do this?
