    Hello! I am currently programming a Tower Defence game for university and i stumbled upon a problem: i want my towers to rotate towards the monster it is shooting at.     Hi All, Looking at Thrift and Google Protocol Buffers to implement some quick RPC code. Thrift would be perfect if the generated C++ code compiled on windows (which is what I need). And of course, GPB creates RPC stubs, but no implementation. Is there a way to get Thrift Windows friendly? Or, even better, are there any RPC implementations available freely for generated C++ protobuf stubs (a Java counterpart would be nice too, but is not necessary). Thanks

    Hey guys, I'm trying to write a shell script under linux, which lists all folders (recursively) with a certain name and no symlink pointing to it. For example I have /home/htdocs/cust1/typo3_src-4.2.11 /home/htdocs/cust2/typo3_src-4.2.12 /home/htdocs/cust3/typo3_src-4.2.12 Now I want to go through all subdirectories of /home/htdocs and find those folders typo3_*, that are not pointed to from somewhere. Should be possible with a shellscript or a command, but I have no idea how. Thanks for you help Stefan

    I am using org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultHttpClient to retrieve xml from a webservice and am trying to determine whether to set HttpProtocolParams.setUseExpectContinue(params, true) or HttpProtocolParams.setUseExpectContinue(params, false). I am not clear on how to determine this. Can anyone offer a best practices guideline on when this should be true and when it should be false and also the possible implications of each setting?     Hello, Is it possible to get a youtube video to autoplay on Safari and/or UIWebView? I've seen this done in an iPhone app, the tableview displays cells that do not have Youtube preview icon (pretty sure it's a UIWebView Though), when you tap the cell it directly goes to video. Could this be done by faking a tap on the youtube video? If so, how? Would getElementById().click work? Thanks a lot

    I was wondering how drawing applications draw the entire time the mouse is down without having empty gaps. What I mean is, for example if the program only drew circles at the mouse's X, y coordinate, then if the mouse went too quicly it would seem like a bunch of little circles rather than a nice continuous line. How can this be done without constantly drawing a short straight line between where the mouse was 0.001 seconds ago and where the mouse now is. Thanks

    I'd like to recenter a buffer, called "Lense", where I've inserted some text. I wished to make it the current buffer by "(set-buffer "Lense")", then "(recenter 0))". By the following code segments: (save-excursion (set-buffer "Lense") (recenter 0)) However, it seems that the above code would only recenter the buffer which is the current buffer, and "(set-buffer "Lense")" has no effect to make the current buffer to be "Lense". Please help me to figure out the right way to recenter the named buffer "Lense". Thanks, Yu

This module uses the following library: library hwicap_v5_00_a; use hwicap_v5_00_a.all; I was looking in the directories as well as subdirectories of Xilinx\12.1\ISE_DS\EDK\hw\XilinxProcessorIPLib\pcores but I could not find the package declaration of hwicap.   • sIFR problem in IE document.defaultView.getComputedStyle

    I have sIFR 3 r436 working perfectly in all browsers except IE. IE throws 2 errors. The first is: 'document.defaultView.getComputedStyle' is null of not an object This is on the sifr.js file The second is: 'sIFR' is null or not an object This one is happening I think due to the fact that the sifr.js script is failing in it's load.
